cant we all just get along this is my spot come surf we get plenty aloha just no mo enough waves be careful this place is not for the average kook it will suck you in and spit on the ET rock thats why we say no fucking kooks K-HUI respect or get beat!!!!!!!!!
had one on my longest waves ever at this spot. Caught a outside wave and road it all the wave to the beach, Wave stayed pretty close to the cliff whole time and i did a million cutsbacks on it.
@wholisticPlanetary... just because haoles live HERE, does not make them LOCAL. i dont care if you lived here for a 100 years. you still not hawaiian.
No respect = no koko. You know what gets in my way, haoles driving 15 on the higway so they can take a picture of a chicken. (idiots) or haoles Driving 120 on the highway because they're in a rush, on vacation.
i invite all haoles to come to kauai to enjoy some surf. please come during Nov- Jan.
this is not a perspective to be shown on Youtube; if you didn't get hassled seeing it in person, don't fuckin plaster it across the internet. Thats the whole problem there, visitors not showing respect. show some soul.
Don't worry, when this place gets good it's soooo heavy the wave itself will take care of any donkey haoles from America....I'm from Oahu and my cousin grew up right up the road from here...if you don't know anyone surfing out here on a good day you won't catch $hit...
So, entertain me if you will, Mentaloaf... Just where would 'haoles' get good waves when it's bombing then? I mean, isn't the whole idea of surfing to 'surf' on waves that are the biz...? You can't tell me that you 'own' the wave and therefore 'haoles' can't surf them... Can you? Kinda defeats the whole mentality of surfing then, doesn't it??
@WholisticPlanetary we kinda do its my backyard but all we ask for respect this place is to heavy for average kook anyway see at the wai ill be waiting.
Really I'm from Nebraska and cant wait to rip it in my thong, zinc oxide, and inflatable inner tube. By the way if you were born in hawaii and live in Oahu you ARE a American. Good work, and smoke more pot buddy.
how many visitors, once they negotiate the furious vibe even driving down there, could even get a good wave here? dont worry about it. this will always be a locals spot. but remember the internet now rules and the last thing that can or will be regulated there is the posting of surf spots. When was the last time a random visitor got a set wave on a mere four foot day? sure, they might get in the way inside r2 rock, but actually snag a bomb?
I'm all down for tourism. You think I don't realize it's the only way for our economy to survive? The fact is surfers don't go on vacation to spend money, they live cheep and surf. Kauai is the last frontier in Hawaii, it's the least crowded and the least developed. It's also a place where a lot of true aloha still resides. Most people on Kauai just want things to stay the same forever. We see things changing and it is a shameful thing. The culture in your town isn't in danger like us "Braddah"
I understand completely... Respecting locals is key for me. And I've been readily accepted at the parking lots and in the line up as a tourist who "knows"...and for this I am grateful. Every time I come to surf your islands, I buy local gear and surf it, then bring it home. Always tip well. And always stay humble in the water. I guess my thought is, a video won't change the direction of the world - we're just getting bigger n bigger and everything eventually "changes". Peace spreads mana...!
@jaeOneS2 Sorry man, hate to piss you off like that but I come to Kauai every year for 6 weeks to surf and hang with locals. Too bad you're not one of the cool ones.
@jaeOneS2 - Learn how to speak and type and maybe us haoles wouldn't have such a hard time understanding you and your point. You lose dawg, without tourism you'd be screwed. I have a LOT of love and respect for the locals and natives of Hawaii, especially my surfing friends and family. Peeps like you are just haters... NO HATE IN 808, remember that.
@jaeOneS2 What's there to understand and why do I need to understand it now? So what, you 3rd or 4th generation Hawaiian, or are you Filipino? Who gets in your way?? Better yet, in the way of what?? Kauai's 80% reliant on tourism dawg, without it, unfortunately, you'd be messed. I don't like what overdevelopment has done to the Hawaiian Islands at all. But I can say this - I carry myself more proud and with respect than you muttering empty dribble and rhetoric.
As a resident of Kauai I respectfully ask you to take this down. It's not accomplishing anything except to promote surfing in a place that is already becoming overcrowded. Labeling "localized" (local knowledge enforced) surf spots and posting them online is violating a very near and dear kapu to the people of Kauai, surfers and non surfers alike. And it also a good way to stay a turk haole forever. Is that what you want? So I ask you again. Please kokua, be akamai and take this down. Mahalo.
Stop being so righteous - this video isn't destroying your
secret stash". Wake up call - EVERYONE knows there's sick surf on Kauai, Maui, Oahu, and every place else in the world. I live in a resort town where the world comes to ski/board, so you live in a place where tourists come...suck it up. So long as the tourists are respectful and know their place in a line up, why worry??
Perspective braddah....tourist dollars keep your island alive just like they do my home in the mountains.
No matter we're it is you travel to respect for the locals is always a good idea..... There are bad asses everywhere if that is what your looking for..... Hawaiians are one of the Greatest people on earth when they welcome you into there world, that is what is the hard part...... Like many other nations there rights and lands got stolen, so we have issues....
screw that - most 'locals' are filipino. When I visited it was like I was an outsider in my own country - I show respect to all, but I am not going to take shit for being from the mainland. Hawaii is the US, just like Nebraska - get used to it.
dude shut up and stop bitching. your not the only one that this happened to and it not only happens in hawaii it happens everywhere. im pretty sure where ever you are from they have secrets that they wouldnt want outsiders to know about and just keep it between the locals.
people don't car that ur lame ass is from the mainland. hawaiians are territorial and will beat ur ass so no it's not like nebraska you dumb ass pebble stupid breeze
no one is beating anyone's ass hoeleg, least of all you. I got no issue with Hawaiians just that they don't shit on people because they are different or are on vacation.
I do agree that ppl should respect local places, but ppl on vacation have a different mentality - maybe there should be more education to tourists. all I gotta say. mahalo
Im not even from kauai and i dont think you should advertise what the locals surf everyday. Why dont people just have more RESPECT for other peoples backyards. if i was surfing kauai i would be nice to the locals and surf spots where the waves werent that good just to be respectful.

My favorite place to surf on Kauai. I've gotten the sickest barrels of my life there taking off in the cove.
Winter of '92-93 I will never forget, while not the best, the least crowded, for sure.
It is always nice to be "known" when you drive down and the "gate keepers" are telling people they don't know that the beach is closed today. LOL
It's a lot mellower now than it was 20+ years ago when I moved there fro Oahu. I recently moved to Canada, I miss the wai, I don't miss the crowds.
