@mtooshort20 i also grew up with muscle cars, from my dad's 67 camaro and his early impala. we use to have bonding moments when doing preventive maintenance on those cars, but the world had moved on, and so do we. the muscle were the street rockets but tuning generation these hatches brought us makes it more mental. have we been ahead in technology than japan, we could have it. but we did not, we were busy with our little and big wars. man we have to move on...

Poor to buy a muscle car? Ok so why is it that used trans am and cameros go for $500.00-$2500.00 for a used one in good shape and a used civic goes for $3000.00-$5500.00 for one in good shape. Don't even talk about pricing because these HONDA were NEVER meant to be drag car then were meant for time attack and so one. So Don't get all pissed at me because i'm right.

In general there are alot of very fast domestic stuff out there.

I saw where you dropped a gear running over 80, and it took you 5 seconds to hit 100 and nearly 11 to hit 120... that was a roll over 80mph too.. Are you sure that car can run 12's? Im not picking on you, but those numbers seem a little off. I would post a cell video of my nova too, but no one can hold it still when I take off. Keep up the N/A stuff.. My best time was a 12.34 and that was on a bone stock motor. My new set up is like i said a 2.5 liter block, 13.7~c/r port n polish, cams, maxi lite rods, sleeved block.

Over the long run Japanese cars might cede some ground to domestics in specific segments or even just specifications, but in the end they win out big being much more reliable than American made cars and being much less gimmicky. Also, I believe the reason for front wheel drive cars is to reduce parasitic power and fuel economy losses from transferring power to the rear wheels.
