  • miss the games around the 90s. i wish i still had this game but to bad i can't find it in my house

  • This game over BF3 / MW3 ANYDAY.

  • heh, I remember the first time giving this game a try... it was primarily at watching my dad trying to handle Xan Kreigor at the end of the single player game. Every time I watched him, I was seeing many mistakes on his part, so I decided to see if I could do better.

granted, I didn't voice that to him because I'd sound stuck up doing it, but when I had a better time slaughtering that final boss... hoo boy...

  • CTF-Thorns v4

  • *then

  • For me, the best FPS and his music is fucking awsomeee XD

  • i hope soo then unreal make some like, gameplay of ut and graphics of ut3

  • Three, Two, One, Let's go to the Gym! One, Two, Three, We are at the Gym!, Three, Two, One, Let's do it Faster, One, Two, Three, Let's do it Harder!, Up, dow, left, right! LoL

  • One of the best tracks in all of the UT franchise. The rythm sets the pace for the match and ramps up just right.

  • @liamo89010 Oh yes certainly a great game. Especially considering the fact that they sacrificed everything for the sake of graphics. And it wasn't a mistake at all for them to move to the console which made it more difficult for some people to play. That was all sarcasm and it makes total sense why there is barely even a single server running for UT3 on xbox. UT3 was the death of the series

  • @wein041 That was a push to get UT and UC combined into 1. It flopped.

  • That suspense... Perfect for a dark level... You are breathing with the music rhythm... Running and breathing...

  • 1:21

  • ut99, one of the alltime classics

  • I remember I bought Quake 3 Arena and played it. Then bought this game shortly after. Goodbye Quake, welcome UT!

The experience in UT was amazing the levels, music of course the fun!!! Never got boring of playing this classic.

  • @masterfuu Quake 3 is an awesome game. It is very different to UT in a sense that there is a huuuge gap in the skill level. Skilled players have to know how to move around the map (with strafejumping of course) and to control the items on the map. These skills take a VERY long time to master. Probably that is what has put you off. In UT you do not need to master these skills.

  • @KostjaMRH That's kinda the problem, the only people who seem to be playing Q3 anymore (even more so for Quake 1) are those who have mastered the game, making it even tougher for new players to get into

  • @MGMan37 That is not true. There are plenty of noobs online on quake live.

  • @KostjaMRH Yeah, but most of the people who play Quake 3 (not QL) are much better at it

  • I was introduced to proper gaming at the age of 9 when my grandparents brought a PC, the first game I played on PC was this, this plays on the tutorial mission in that cathedral therefore this music is the soundtrack to my gateway into gaming!

  • Picked up a book in a store - something like "1001 Games to play before you die" - and it didn't have the original UT only UT2004 and UT3, so I proceeded to put that book right back on the shelf.

  • The first time I played this game I went running down a hall. As I ran there was a huge explosion and half a dozen heads came flying through a door at the side and bounced all over the hall. Someone's stomach hit me in the face. It was then that I fell in love.

  • I think this is still the best UT game.

  • @bbenjoe I think this is still the best FPS ever made.

  • @bbenjoe it is, my friend, and forever will be.

  • DM The Pit of Agony....oh man, what good times! No other FPS came close to reproducing this experience!

  • I WANT A COMPLETE UT99 REMAKE WITH BETTER GRAPHICS

    & SAME MUSIC.

  • @gogomis1 No offense, but i personally think remakes suck. There is no need for a remake just to have "better graphics". The graphics are great how they are. A remake of any classic game probably would fuck it up. If you want better graphics than download a mod that can do that. Plus it's free.

  • @gogomis1 i dont even want that. i still ut99

  • @gogomis1 Unnecessary.

  • @gogomis1 FUCK YOU AND YOUR STUPID REMAKES,leave shit the way it is, remakes will fucking screw it up, fucking losers who want graphic updates, they will fuck up the gameplay because they will over focus on graphics.

  • I think a spear of nostalgia just went through my back.

  • With this song ive started for the firrst time UT. Tutorialmap Deathmatch XDXD

  • I DONT GIVA FUCK I STILL PLAY THIS ON MY OLD DELL!!!!!! THIS GAME IS ILL

  • Phobos! My favourite stage :)

Until this very day i love just standing at the edge looking at the stars and that planet revolving arounding me in a nearly hypnotizing way...at least until someone starts shooting at me and takes me back to reality^^

  • 2 dislikers failed the course.

  • @moppedisten93: you suck xD

  • This music is AS-Guardia... ahhhhhh

  • "Now, frag the Nali I just spawned." Three seconds later. "Look at those gibs fly!"

  • UT 4 BETTER HAVE XAN, MALCOLM, CLAN LORD, LAUREN AND BLAKE OR IM GONNA FUCKING RAGE QUIT

  • UT99...my love...

  • Best part at 3:28 in my opinion. Freaking soundtrack rocks X3

  • don't make em' like they used to

  • I remember back when UT99 came out...I just wanted to upload my life into the game and STAY THERE. It WAS my life for well over 2 years. EPIC

  • UT99...my love...

  • oh yeah!!! this is amazing and the game to

  • I Started playin' when i was five, and fuck yeah i beated Xan at Godlike!

  • DM-Agony!

  • god..i ' m old... :(

  • this rocks!!

  • the best music for hitting the gun range

makes me shoot more accurate and more faster because it motivates me a lot

  • I must have this game again!

  • when people refer to graphics nowadays they mean "realism." When i think of graphics, I think of the overall aesthetics... beautiful multicolored lights, glowing red pools of lava, light blue pools of water, asteroid orbiting just above the atmosphere, brilliant green and purple stars, mysterious crypts and top secret industries. the graphics are great, even if they're not realistic. they're kind of unreal...

  • @theoneandonlyjanitor very nice point about graphics. i don't understand people wanting realistic graphics. just look outside the window. real world graphics suck. when i play a game i want something pretty, not something realistic. same with anime.

  • @theoneandonlyjanitor now thats a comment i can thumbs up

  • @theoneandonlyjanitor well said

  • @theoneandonlyjanitor

So true man.. worded it perfectly, big ups!

  • @theoneandonlyjanitor I feel ya

  • @theoneandonlyjanitor All I can say is well put bro. couldn't have said it better my self

  • The soundtrack (and this song especially) sounds even more amazing when exported to wav via Impulse Tracker's original wav writer. The bass hits much harder and all the muffled highs sound clear. A legendary soundtrack, one of the best there are - if not the best.

  • Amazing tune!

  • The best game I've ever played by far.

  • @athanasiadis24 BY FAAAAAR

  • This game run on a Pentium 2 =D

  • overlord wass badass with this song!!!!!

  • Excuse me but wasn't that the tune of the map "Dreary Outpost"?

Vacuum chambers were in another map.

  • If anyone wants to download these OSTs, I will upload them. Just reply me and I'll tell you links

  • This will get you pumping, I want to close my store one night to this.

  • man, i remember that map with the vacuum chambers.

freakin hilarious when the guy in it knew he was going to die!>=D

  • Great one! Thanks for uploading.

    Stonex

  • Curse

  • When i first played Half Life,i thought this song would fit perfectly into the tram ride at the begining of the game.

  • this is my favorite music in the whole game i played a online match on dm-agony with 2 bots and some people and it was really fast paced i also had the game speed on 144 so it went along with the music i think this is music for someone to hear when they really join a "unreal tournament" and this music could get them off their worries

  • I actually thing the bad graphics make game prettier. They give it an unique style

  • @gorkkh They were very good for 1999. It even was able to run in software with impressive performance :)

  • the good shit starts at 1:05

  • AH!!!

AS-Guardian! Loved spamming the incoming B#tches at the door!

  • amazing!!!... brings back memories ;(

  • thats the best game song ever, everytime i hear this tune i fall in trance O.O_AwEsOme!i especially like the part >2:59

  • all the music gets you pumped and Its great music for making epic come backs from the bottom of the table..thats why I love the UT 99

  • The last minute was my favorite part!

  • my favorite tune from unreal tournament

  • You know you've made a good ambient track if the listener can play it for more than 4 hours straight and still love it. Possibly my piece of electronic music.

  • Oh my God, its Wonderful!!!!

  • THey should make another game like this.. UT3 was not THAT good, with it ''storyline''.. Just gimme a damn tournament, good music, and fun. Oh and more better maps!

  • @BlodyVampir yea. After getting a taste of ut2004, ut3 just looks like pacman with a couple new vehicles and weapons and plus, epic overdid it on the graphics. When i was playing this at my friend's house, i was distracted by the extreme graphics and then the next thing i knew, i got squished by a nightshade.

  • this music almost creamed my pants when i first heard this.

  • hearing this music is so nostalgic...

  • i'm so in love with this game ^^ Even if the graphics sucks, it's the best game i ever played

  • well said

  • The art and overall look is better than that of any of the newer Unreal/Tournament/Championship games. It is undisputed the prettiest game of all time when you add the UTRP textures and grab a new OpenGL, Direct3D 9, or Direct 3D 10 renderer.

  • I'd object to that, I think UT2004 looks great, far better than the original UT (ok, ok stone me to death for saying that out loud :)) but the music and the game experience is better. Been playing UT2004 now for at least a week now (again) and now I can confidently say that even the worst UT soundtrack song can beat the best UT2004 music single-handed at any time. Gotta love UT music!!

  • In a way I guess it does, since everything looks sharper, but if you really want to compare the art in each game then look up the UTRP textures and install those.

  • @csigabajnok

The next question would be: what IS the worst music track in UT? I have real trouble to fine one bad track in UT. ;)

  • @d1oftwins

he one used inDM-Pressure, I suppose...

but I mean it in- a way it's mean, not horrible.

  • @moppedisten93 I agree. It is the best game, I think, anyone has played.

  • @moppedisten93 The graphics are still awsome man ! XD Just look at the lighting, no other game from that time had such nice lighting and effects !

  • @moppedisten93 The graphics only could suck in comparisation of newer technologies; for its time, the graphics were all enough!!!

  • @Maridianokusho Yeeah, I still remember when those graphics were considered fucking awesome. They were the best graphics at that time. I can't believe how funny is how people's judgements evolve

  • @protobuddha Damn right, mate!

  • @protobuddha I may only be 15 , but god I remember UT99 , Half life , System Shock 2.... all those great games. I can remember bricking it wondering if my computer was powerful enough to run half life 2.... that was honestly like the crysis of gaming then.

  • @InstantMix Great times back then

  • @moppedisten93 Graphics don't "suck". They were VERY well done for the time. This game has better visuals than fucking Halo and a few other newer games and I say UT99 looks better in a lot of cases.

  • @moppedisten93 lol graphics were top notch at that time. Don't compare 11 year old Ut99 graphics with the new games.

  • @moppedisten93

Thing is, the graphics DON'T suck. They ROCKED for their age. Or are you trying to compare a blunderbuss to a Kalashnikov?

  • @Gunner193 Yeah, I was going to say. They may be dated, but they're still pleasant to look at now. Of course, I find dated 3D charming.

I agree though, they must've been amazing for the time, at least if your PC could handle it.

  • @Masz52

Believe me, they were the finest eyecandy around back then. When I first looked at the game, around 2000 (my dad was playing), I had an eyegasm without knowing it.

  • @moppedisten93 the graphics for this game when i came out were unbelievably awesome, and as a whole it's a very well done job in graphics

  • @moppedisten93 the graphics in its time were unbelievably awesome and still now the graphics are decent to a level that you can see whats going on in the game and not just pixels:)

  • @moppedisten93 But thats the thing! The graphics are still amazing, 12 years later. This game took the evolution that Goldeneye 64 did for FPS and evolved it into something fast paced and hardcore. UT is the best FPS to date.

  • @moppedisten93 I don't think the graphic sucks, the 3D models and level design are still impressive to me. Plus it's way too fast-paced to see shit in detail!

  • @moppedisten93 they don't suck lol. they are awesome :), they didn't get that outdated unlike many games released after UT

  • @moppedisten93 At the time of the games release, those graphics were cutting edge ;)

  • @DarkStare100 Funny you mention that. If you look at some Epic's old test footage of the Unreal Engine 1.5, the graphics were supposed to be even better than they officially looked for the game (the graphics almost looked exactly like the 2.0 engine!). At the time, not many people had the computer specs to keep up with these, as you call it, cutting-edge graphics. Epic Games were surely ahead of their time in terms of video game graphics.

  • @moppedisten93 Graphics don't suck!

  • @KostjaMRH

That's just what is was going to say!

I can remember back in the days when I first saw pictures of this game, I just couldn't believe you play something like that!

  • @moppedisten93

Graphics were good at that time

  • @moppedisten93 they dont suck, i remember back in the day those graphics kicked consoles' asses and no game in its genre is ever going to be better than ut99, damn if they gave me the option to choose between my current fav game(bfbc2) and this, i would definitely choose ut 99 GOTY, in yo face shitty ut3, ur not goty? then go cry ur mama hahaah

  • I lovvveeeee psytrance
