I actually think that even within the frame of a formula-based drama that broadcasts on Fox, House M.D. is a show where the central character makes some very interesting, scabrous, uncomfortable insights about sexuality, rationality and death - which I think is a gamechanger of sorts. But by and large, Bill's right because Daily Show, South Park, The Wire, even post-internet, are not mainstream. And for every one House, there's a million of Desperate Housewives and So You Think You Can Dance?
