Good eye! The short answer is "time and budgetary constraints." The Canadian army used Lee-Enfields but we made due with what was available, and approved for use by our gun wrangler.

Thanks Leanna. It's one of my favourites too! It practically wrote itself in the space of 20 minutes after being inspired by a performance by actor Carson Nattrass, who plays O'Reilly in the vid.
