Erra is really good I liked their Andromeda EP. But Elitist is hands down best for me. They are far more techincal and still have that heavy feel to them they became my favoirte band since CAVES. But thats my opinion. never heard of northlane but i sahll check em out anyways theres my two cents you rock elitist!!!!

both Erra and Elitist have similar overall technicality imo, i learned some of their songs with tabs, Odeon & Array are by far the hardest songs from Elitist, i tried to learn Obscure Words from Erra by tabs and trust me, it's as difficult as Elitist, even some parts are a bit more puzzling & tricky. just my point of view though :)

Unfortunately Elitist's drummer had to go home early for unknown(to me)reasons so they played to the drum tracking. Still did a wonderful set. Watching Julian perform was close to that of Paul Masvidal man..mezmorizing.

I think if there's a weak link here, it's the vocalist. :/ It's a little redundant and bland. Everything else is spot on. Unique sound on instrumentals. I think it really sets you apart from other technical bands, but the vox kinda kill it for me.

@PerpetualTrainWreck different compression, dude. That's not dynamic compression, that's file compression. Dynamic Compression eliminates the peaks and valleys in the waveform, file compression takes out the "non essential" parts of the waveform making it smaller. Two totally different things.
