I have three money sign tattoos on the bottom of my right foot because I used a sharpie. Sharpies are painless and much easier, you don't have to put anything together just get a sharpie pen and draw. It takes 2-3 days to come off so it's a temorary tattoo, but painless!

I have actually tried this. Didnt get the ink to apply properly though. Sterilized everything. Shut up-I'm poor. Just because it doesn't have some professional jerkfaces name on it does in NO WAY mean it is a bad idea. Anyways, it cuts the skin, puts ink ON it, but not UNDER the skin. made ink from graphite and shampoo. maybe the ink is too thick... hmm Any advice would be helpful.
