The writers and actors are working with the live audience in mind. They have to adjust all of their timing and rhythm to accommodate it. Yes, it is a comedy show, however it is aimed towards nerds and other intellectuals. If you do not get the jokes, don't write on youtube that you do not get them. You are literally calling yourself stupid.

As for watching, its funny with the laughing edited out because of how unfunny the show is. If this this were a legit clip from the show then yeah it wouldn't make sense for me to be watching it.

The strange thing about this clip is that it's not an example of the "nerd" jokes they use. It's more a standard comedy trick so it is vaguely amusing even if it's a cliched joke.

@roflmewaffles No the big bang theory is funny, the proof that it is funny is in the fact it is one of the best selling comedies in the world and also one of the highest rated. Your personal opinion is fine, however I disagree, don't find it funny don't watch it. It is filmed in front of a live audience as well, so most of the time it is actually genuine laughter. Watching this clip will reflect badly as it was made to have the crowd laughter in, without it, a different ball game.
