  • 96 PEOPLE LIVE IN A WORLD OF SHIT !!

  • Yeah damn foreigners! Youtube is designed for white americans to say racist shit to people from behind the comfort of a computer screen!

  • dear lord how I miss my days as an Infantryman. At least there we were a real team, each one ready to give our life for our brothers. The outside (society) IS A WORLD OF SHIT! But I am alive... and I AM NOT afraid!

  • im in a world of shit (continues to M-I-C-K-E-Y-M-O-U-S-E)

  • best movie ever

  • @chococta96 so how did communism win in the end? Look at the pro communist countrys? poor as shit. So how can one count having an economical collapse a victory? If your referring to Vietnam then your dubble wrong. Look at North Vietnam compared to South, America's media and own people caused the "loss" of the Vietnam war.

  • Whose The Leader Of The Club

Made For You And Me ?

    M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E

  • Los kongs les metieron a M. Mouse por el culo.

  • they sing this song to make peace of their surroundings, and singing the mickey mouse song to referr how the war and dieing for nothing IS bullshit, they arent mocking anything and its actually a complex meaning....-sincerley troll who isn't fucking stupid

  • WHAT IS THIS MICKEY MOUSE SHIT!? WHAT ARE YOU 2 DOING IN MY HEAD!?

  • @Tsarbomb117 mickey mouse is bullshit in army phonetics.

  • Comment removed

  • the usuall american arrogant shite, sick of it, all talk and shite

  • What so dose 'Mickey mouse' stand for bull shit?

  • Right after this scene, the song Pain It Black haunted me for a good several days. Very powerful film.

  • The moral is that in the Army Mickey mouse is phonetics for Bullshit, Basicly they are singing good things and then thats its bullshit. Like We're in harmony ... something and then that its bullshit. Holy jesus..What is that? WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT? :D

  • i notice that violent people loves cartoons, that is the dualism of Jung? I tell ya, serial killers watch Bugs Bunny after cutting their victims. So, listen if you see some adult man watching Porky or Mickey Mouse... beware, beware

  • i had a dream about this scene last night lol dunno why!

  • Why does TV Tropes say this is a downer ending?

  • @Ebb1993isgreat Doesn't the background give you any hints?

  • @ChowMein09 Well, yeah, they're walking through a flaming background, but still, the way how they sing the Mickey Mouse song and the way how Joker says even though he's in a world of shit, he's happy to be alive, it doesn't seem to be a downer ending.

  • @Ebb1993isgreat Considering that 1. A third of Joker's squad is dead 2. even so, he is so jaded towards death that he lackadaisically daydreams about erotic fantasies afterwards 3. the city around him is completely destroyed but the marines march through it without a care. Even though Joker's happy to be alive, it begs the question "but for how long?"

  • @ChowMein09 I see.

  • the indoctrination started early in their lives

  • @8SuperKing8 I see.

  • who can dislike this song ? tell me who

  • only american faggots

  • @danielkarin1996 ya need to watch that mouth ya fucking commie take your unamerican ass else where

  • @skullkrusher381 did i say sth about america you retarded kid ? first get a fucking brain

  • @danielkarin1996 Yeah your foreign ass know the american language and using an american site. Only non-americans like you will bitch about us on our shit. Get a fucking life bitch

  • well they werent going for "surprise" against the enemy

  • wow, dont you see, they are singing this song, not to remind them of their childhood memories, its not blasphemy that they sing this song because they are refferrring to what is happening in battle. no shit 'mickey mouse' stands for utter bullshit, they are surrounded by fire, death, blood and agony, thats pretty bullshit

  • Anyone noticed that the drill sergeant says to Pyle in boot camp: "What's this mickey mouse shit."

  • @Nanotech92 From what I have heard and read 'mickey mouse' means bullshit in the us army/marines...

  • FUCK THE WAR FUCK THE ARMY

    GOD CURSET THE ARMY

  • @jagger978 amen

  • i love this movie

  • em eye cee - kay ee why - em o yu es ee!

  • 94 charlies was here...

  • Gunnery Sgt. Hartman: What is this Mickey Mouse shit?!

  • M I C K E Y M O U S E

  • ''I am in a world of shit, yes. But I am alive and i am not afraid''

I am well going to get my zippo printed up with that quote on...

  • Absurdly Beautiful Ending.

  • lee ermey should be a real life football coach, that guy can motivate the weakest bastard on earth to become the bravest motherfucker on earth.love this film more than any other because of its realism and it shows how tough is to become a marine. this is not the typical vietnam war film with soldiers walking on a jungle full of gooks and traps.the best of this film is lee ermey and the marines fighting in a destroyed city and killing a female sniper which is very unusual in any other war film.

  • @gregorboca90 The Battle of hue was a real Mother fucker from what they tell you in the Army It gave America the training for urban warfare.

  • Amazing movie and an amazing ending.

  • @fbibarbie yeaaah nice thanks ! easier to read beyond the lyrics now ! I understood it as an officer rather thant a soldier lol !

it's definitevely one of the greatest movie's ending i've ever seen (even movie)

  • Kinda scary when kids wang to join the service because they were influenced by a movie.

  • This will be us if the bill gets passed.

  • @icedtakers ha!.. but instead is of mickey mouse its TROLOLOLOLOLO

  • @icedtakers what bill?

  • This is a really cool ending, it reminds me of the stories my dad would tell me.

  • Thanks MR Kubrick

  • The Mickey Mouse Club Theme Song Who's the leader of the club that's made for you and me? M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E. Hey there. Hi there. Ho there. You're as welcome as can be. M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E. Mickey Mouse. (Mickey Mouse.) Mickey Mouse. (Mickey Mouse.) Forever let us hold our banner high. High. High. High. Come along and sing a song and join the jamboree. M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E.
  • One of the best of the movie... With the 24565 others :)

  • Boys and girls from far and near you're as welcome as can be

    M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E

  • Great great great ! But honestly I'm not sure about the meaning of singing this song ?

  • @jaycombs look at brenticlo's post "mickey mouse" is military slang for bullshit so listen to the song again and substitue bullshit for mickey mouse and the songs meaning should become clear to you. By the way your reaction is also a perfect example of why they made that song. They could sing it infront of officers or other people who were giveing bullshit and officer or other people not in on the secreat would just thin that thats nice moral but an odd choice of song doesent work aymore though.

  • @jaycombs mostly because to many people know the meaning now so its not an inside secreat anymore there are a few other songs like this but not as awsome as funny of such a high moral sounding childrens song but really being the soilders all acknowledging to each other that they are being lied to or getting heavy propaganda.

  • @jaycombs Sorry I really like your comment so im going to keep spamming you. "We play fair and we work hard and we're in harmoney M I C K E Y M O U S E" We play fair" means they are saying that the news that we never break UCMJs and other rules in battle is bullshit and that the military covers up a lot of shit that happens to enemy combatants and poor non-comatants that got in the way. "We work hard" is them knowing that officers don't work as hard as they want you to think.

  • ok this could take a while nevermind I think you can figure the rest out now but if you want or don't understand other parts of the song ill break it down more for you so pls reply back to me because i really want you to understand how funny it is you said that. =)

  • That gook sniper bitch had 91 offspring. Kill em all!

  • Who is marching coast to coast

    and far across the sea?

    M-I-C K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E!

  • please call as the Song

  • im gonna sing this when i have to do my military service

  • Greatest. Ending. Ever

  • Do you think that the soldiers actually sang this in Vietnam?

  • @yaklin104 Probably not this exact one. But I heard from my Dad that similar things were sung.

  • @yaklin104 my grandpa was in veitnam and he said they sang this song but not marching into a deserted town .... they sang it when they were drinking in bars and at their base

  • just watched the movie and this scene was soo... great!

  • i like the first brainwashing bit, the rest is just another war film to me. shoot to kill

  • love the film have se it ten time now

  • great movie

  • I just saw the movie i think this scene is supposed to be ironic and sarcastic thats my guess

  • Any lyrics?? Im probably not the only one that wants to go marching around town singing this.

  • lol the amount of people who thinkjbreazer s comment is right lmao, u all know nothing about films or story board

  • One of the best movie endings ever...

  • favourite kubrik scene

  • @allouTV You're bullshit, he's been dead for 12 years. Next time do your research you fucking troll.

  • first time i watched this scene it just blow my mind for its dark and dry simbollical force and i think i was not able to handle it psicologically speaking so it went into the deepest of my subconscious and everytime i walk in the night i use to whisper this.

  • @isaiaselcaco lmao the fucks wrong with you

  • without any whisper....

  • "Mickey Mouse" is slang for bullshit in the Marines - the song is a manifestation of their disdain for their current situation and war as ultimately being pointless. It's not them holding onto their childhood memories.

  • @prenticio i think it can mean both, i mean it could be a song that reminds them of simpler times when they were innocent

  • @3clipsor I agree it could mean both

  • @prenticio i tought that was fubar

  • @prenticio

I see it more as a depiction of how the american "Mickey Mouse" "culture" brutally exports and forces itself into other peoples' cultures. We've seen it happen so many times.

  • @johanson365

Someone's butthurt that their culture didn't invent science.

  • @johanson365

If by "american mickey mouse culture" you mean 'islam" then yes I see what you mean.

  • @prenticio No no you're wrong it's about their childhood memories.

  • @prenticio I was told that Micky Mouse was the radio code that meant America during the Vietnam war... Which would make sense cosndiering the lyrics to this song.

  • @prenticio i think its probably both

  • @prenticio Not really..... The reason why Stanley Kubrick added that song in there was instill the notion of the American ideal of bringing freedom, even if through force, to the rest of the world ◦Mickey Mouse is a symbol for America. The lyrics are upbeat, inviting people around the world to join a club. The soldiers singing this as they march across a conquered land in order to eradicate communism and forcibly bring freedom make those lyrics ironic.skrapneldotcom

  • @huntingsurvival But the communist won in the end so...

  • SONG GOES,f U C K ED A G A I N , fUCKED AGAIN,FUCKED AGAIN,THEY ALWAYS SEEM TO GET YOU IN THE END!!! You Nam vets like me remember this song????

  • Forever let us hold our banner HIGH HIGH HIGH HIGH. I agree with beazer. The scene is truly captivating. It shows the innocence of these boys turned to men come out. How much they really miss the sweet comfort of being home sitting in front of the television in anticipation waiting for that spine tingling noise of that mickey mouse trumpet indicating that your favourite show of all time was about to start. But all they could do now was to reminisce about those sweet times in song. Life aint easy

  • the best film about the youngest wars after saving private ryan!

  • "M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E"

  • This would have been a five star ending if they would only have had Mickey carrying an M-16 march alongside Joker while they sang "Mickey Mouse"

  • @MrYaesu840 please please please could someone use cgi to edit that in?

  • probably the most disturbing ending ever

  • @painlessissuicide you serious? its freaking epic!

  • d-e-a-d m-a-u-5

  • I think you are over-analyzing. Mickey Mouse is slang for bullshit in the military. They are singing that because that's how they feel about their assignment/the war.

  • Who's the leader of the club

That's made for you and me

    M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E

  • I bet the Disney people just loved having the M.M.C. theme song sung in the movie.

  • This is supposed to be symbolic. It shows "duality", good and evil in humans, in war. They're singing a little kids' song as they march next to burnt out buildings near Huế, after a battle that probably killed dozens of people. It's good and evil.

  • I think the only thing that'd freak me out more is an Army marching towards me singing the Oompa Loompa songs

  • i'd shit bricks if i saw an undead army marching toward me singing that.

  • Don't laugh even marines can go threw hard stuff like the tet offensive that song is a sound off to help the laugh a little because its funny so unless you've been in combat likebi have you have no right

  • Mary Jane Rottencrotch and the Great Homecoming Fuck Fantasy

  • Don't fuck with the Holy Army of M.I.C.K.E.Y MOUSE !

  • screw warner bros. disney kicks ass

  • I don't get it...

  • @colettem07 fuck off

  • @colettem07 hand job and an ice cream?

  • @colettem07 hey dickface no posting chain mail on a marine disney parade. i just shit, count em, three bricks

  • @colettem07 fuck off

  • Semper Fi devil dogs!

  • @creesugarbaby HOORAA

  • When I join the Army and if the DI's ever let me do cadence... This is the song I'm going to be singing! =)

  • i never wished for an easy life, just to become a stronger man

  • I like this part of full metal jacket because even like Joker comments "that even though I'm in a world of shit I'm still alive and not afraid" is really brave. I think singing that song was making them think of happy times in their lives and especially because the Vietnam war was really bad.

  • To me this may be one of the best scenes in the movie....why??? Because more than any other Vietnam movie...this one scene captures a moment...where 18 year old kids were sent to another land to fight a war...and right here we are watching two things...they are forced to become "men" yet holding on to the wonderful memories and innocents of childhood...simply captivating

  • @JBeazer74 while you are correct there is also another reason they are singing it and that is because Walt Disney was actually dishonorabley discharged from the marine corps and just happened to make a video with a mouse in it that was thought to be amazing. ect. ect. but no disrespect you are very correct just wanted to educate.

  • @toaster601

Walt Disney wasn't dishonorably discharged and wrote that his experience in

France AFTER the war (He only left at 16 in 1919) was one of the most

formative experiences of his life. He recommended it to YOUNGER people.

    It's an urban legend, dumbass: snopes. c om/disney/waltdisn/discharge. a s p

  • @JBeazer74 there is also the ironic aspect of it too, they lost so many people just to one small child, it's like the celebration is useless even though i do agree with as well!

  • @JBeazer74 the other part is- these guys just killed a bunch of guys, but they've been wired and conditioned so deeply to sing mickey mouse after a battle. Their humanity is now completely gone. Anything they might have held onto at the start of the film is gone. Joker is no longer scared, he knows that he can kill and feel nothing, that's full circle for him

  • @JBeazer74 Actually i found this scene the best of all because the lyric... i agree with you... the best scene of the movie and more impresive of all of viet war

  • @JBeazer74 ..,according to Dept. Defense statistics the average age of US soldiers who served in Vietnam during the Vietnam War was 22 yrs old. pls gtfoh

  • @JBeazer74 Yeah, and even "Animal Mother" was singing

  • @JBeazer74 If you're british, the meaning of "Mickey mouse" used as an adjective is clear.:This was really a Mickey mouse Army! And the whole second half of the movie just points how incompetent and stupid they were. A gang of real Mickey mouse soldiers.

  • @JBeazer74 Great comment MAN!! Really great as great is this scene!! M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E

  • @JBeazer74 amen!!!

  • @JBeazer74 I guess it's one of the best scenes from war movies ever!!

  • @JBeazer74 you are totaly wrong your comment just pulls peoples heart strings.... mickey mouse means bullshit. they are singing it sarcastically.

  • @jecoharman its definately open to interpretation

  • no its not .. ive had read the meaning of this scene from kubrick books and he doesnt mention shildhood at all and growing up to become men the top comment is bullshit .
