  • i know a guy name ass, and thats what he is

  • what's the probability of being a sprinter and being called BOLT?

  • CHECK OUT MY CHANEL!!!!!!!

  • Usain BOLT

  • It's even in his name;Usaine BOLT

  • Of course his last name is Bolt haha

  • whatta baws

  • Wow. Im 16 now and my best 200m time was only 23 seconds -.-

  • @luringcapybara As a matter of fact, that is not a bad time for a youth of your age. Keep working hard at your athletics ... and you may well find that, by the time you reach 21 years of age, you are capable of running the 200m in a time of 22 seconds flat.

  • alot shorter back then looks like hes maybe 6 feet, maybe a little taller than that but he definatley doesnt look no 6'5.

  • @physicalgrafiti12345 I don't know what Mr Bolt's EXACT height was - back in the summer of 2003, when he was a sixteen-year-old kid - but I can tell you for certain that he was already WAY over 6 foot tall at that age. To be honest, I would be very surprised if he was less than 6 foot 4" at the time he set a world record (for a sixteen-year-old) of 20.13 in June 2003.

  • @TheEctomorph Well it could be said that he was a lot thiner. Since he weights what maybe 74kg (180lbs roughly) according , and he's 1.93m (6'31/2 roughly) according to IAAF.

  • he was so skinny at 16. He increased his weight and his speed also increased. Proof that a certain amount of muscles is necessary to sustain top speed. It is now clear why those skinny Kenyans have never won the 100 m or 200 m race.

  • @Franckbery There have been some skinny 100m/200m runners. Bolt still isn't that big. Kim Collins won the 100m world championships and I remember hearing that he doesn't lift at all. Pietro Mennea, Tommie Smith, etc...Sprinting is a complex task, but the more power you can produce vs. your body weight is important. I think the biggest difference between Bolt here and now is technique. He has only improved ~1 second in the 200m since he was 16.

  • @ThomasRiekki You sure know what you mean. Totally agree ! And there was an american sprinter in the 80s, named Calvin Smith.... another powerful runner for his body weight.

It´s all a mater of how much power you can produce vs your body weight. Just like in a car. And then, there´s the "gearbox", I mean, your running amplitude.

  • @ThomasRiekki To be precise, Thomas, he has improved by 0.94 of a second (as a 200 metre runner) since he was 16 years of age. But I would argue that, in a race of that distance, an improvement of that amount is very substantial. When the big man broke his own world record for the 200 metres (in Berlin, Germany, in the summer of 2009) his time was 19.19 - which, as we all know, is phenomenally quick. The difference between a 19.19 second 200 metres sprinter and a 20.13 one is

  • @ThomasRiekki totally agree with you

  • @Franckbery agreed...skinny only gets you to be a good distant runner, and that's also why American Football players are really fast too because they're not skinny.

  • @Franckbery Admittedly, Mr Bolt was a lot skinnier as a 16 year-old-kid (in 2002 and '03) than he is today, as a grown-up man of 25, in the prime of his life. But to describe the teenaged Bolt as "so skinny" is a gross exaggeration. This sprinting genius ran the 200 metres in a time of 20.13 a couple of months before he reached his 17th birthday - that is an impressive time for a fully-grown man; let alone a young lad of 16. You cannot run the 200m in a time of 20.13 seconds if you are weak

  • @Franckbery [Continuing on from my previous 'post' about Usain Bolt]: That is a fact. When the "lightning Bolt" was a 16-year-old youth, he may not have had the sort of physique that Arnold Schwarzenneger had at a similar age, but the fact remains that he was WAY stronger than the average teenage lad in the street. In fact, Bolt was a good deal stronger - at 16 years of age - than most grown men of twice that age.

  • @TheEctomorph what are you after, man?

  • @Franckbery it's mostly genetics...you cannot get on the Olympic levels unless your body has certain properties.. like long distance runners and sprinters have really different bodies

  • @pierceys234 Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

  • @pierceys234 Very true. There is an old adage: "Sprinters are born, not made". If that is the case - and there is considerable scientific evidence to suggest that it is - then it is surely also true that marathon runners are born, not made.

World class sprinters do, of course, have very different qualities - and very different bodies - from marathon runners. The typical world class sprinter is around 6 foot tall, and has a mesomorphic physique. Many sprinters have biceps which

  • @pierceys234 [Continuing on from my previous 'post' about the physical differences between world-class sprinters and world-class long distance runners]: measure more than 15 inches in circumference, and huge, muscular thighs - measuring over 25". What is more, ALL top class sprinters (without exception) are blessed with an abundance of 'fast-twitch' muscle fibres. These muscle fibres have a GENETIC basis, and CANNOT BE ACQUIRED by hard work and physical training/conditioning.

  • @pierceys234 [Continuing on from my previous 'posts' about the physical differences between world-class sprinters and world-class long distance runners]: Top class marathon runners tend to be a lot shorter in height than sprinters. What is more, the typical world class marathon runner is an ectomorph, and therefore does not have large, heavily muscled biceps or thighs. At a rough estimate, I would say that many, if not most, top marathon runners have biceps which measure less than 13.5 inches.

  • @pierceys234 [Continuing on from my previous 'posts' about the physical differences between world-class sprinters and world-class long distance runners]: I would also estimate that, in most cases, world class marathon runners have thighs which measure less than 22 inches in cirumference. Another big difference between sprinters of international standard and their marathon running counterparts is the fact that the long-distance athletes are blessed with an abundance of 'slow-twitch' muscle

  • @pierceys234 [Continuing on from my previous 'posts' about the physical differences between world-class sprinters and world-class long distance runners]: fibres. These fibres enable them to run long distances in times which would be way beyond the capabilities of athletes who are well-endowed with FAST TWITCH muscle fibers (i.e. sprinters, long jumpers and high hurdlers). There is no way that Usain Bolt or Tyson Gay could ever become a world class marathon runner, no matter how hard they

  • @pierceys234 [Continuing on from my previous 'posts' about the physical differences between world-class sprinters and world-class marathon runners]: tried (because their bodies possess too many 'fast-twitch' muscle fibres and nowhere near enough 'slow-twitch' ones). Equally, there is absolutely no way that Haile Gebressalasie or Paul Tergat could ever have become world-class sprinters - no matter how hard they had tried. The reason being, of course, that they were not blessed with a

  • @TheEctomorph You comment like a beast

  • @pierceys234 [Continuing on from my previous 'posts' about the physical differences between world-class sprinters and world-class long distance runners]: sufficient amount of 'fast-twitch' muscle fibres.

  • @Franckbery Kenyans have different types of muscles.

  • @Franckbery haa man thats because of different muscle twitch fibers among the many nations in Africa, and the world.....

  • Jamaicans= FASTEST PEOPLE EVER

  • @SuperHi334 only because balco went out of business in america

  • @billlbixby and the american times still haven't changed

  • @SuperHi334 you are right. there is another young jamaican that won a junior race recently in 10.24 seconds. I forget his name

  • @AUZ71NM- It's 200 METERS dipshit!

  • Haha this guy's a joke! I can run 200 ft in less than 10 seconds!

  • @AUZ71NM You mean you can fall from 200 ft in less than 10 seconds.....

  • @blessedbranch LOL man! Thats absolutely funny! hahaha

  • He was very thin !!

  • wow, how tall was he when he was 16?

  • @mickypure he was 6'5 since 15

  • That makes eveything more credible that he ran this fast also with 16

  • BREAKING NEWS: YOHAN BLAKE JUST RAN 19.26 IN THE 200 METER.

  • Anything he revieves for his hard work he deserves it. Every single one of his medals and millions, and fame, He ran for time at 16 yrs old, and understood the importance early.

  • @aCapNuneBbon ...because he's older, stronger and years of non-stop training have hardened his body into being the only person that can run 100m in 9.58

  • i can run faster he got so sweaty in 2 seconds and you freakin call that stampina lol

  • guys you need to watch Mike Tyson at 15... now thats big

  • @Alltimeboxing When Michael Tyson was fifteen years of age (back in 1981) he was probably considerably harder and stronger than Usain Bolt was at the same age. But so f*****g what?! Iron Mike was a heavyweight BOXER ... Usain Bolt is a SPRINTER. It is patently obvious that both guys were blessed with a great deal of natural physical talent... but one of them was put on this earth to excel as a boxer; the other to break records as a sprinter.

  • @Alltimeboxing When Iron Mike was a youth of 15, he was already built like a brick s***house and harder than 99.5% of grown men. But he couldn't run the 200 in 20.58 seconds. (The 'lightning Bolt' could, though - believe it or not.)

  • @TheEctomorph I know ! but people say here that Bolt was "big" for a 15 y o. He was FAST, he was muscular ok but I know way bigger as 15 y o, and the best example for me is Iron Mike. Never said Tyson could run fast.

  • he looks like a kenyan distance runner... MAGGGGGAAAA

  • Oh damn... he's 16 at this video!

    o.O!

  • cant wait for 2012 olympics after watching the world championships but lets hope they get rid of the silly 1 false start bullshit.....fukin ruined it for me after waiting so long for bolt in the 100m only to be let down. least he strolled the 200 lol.

  • I can do the 100m in 5 seconds flat ...

  • @pubuman woah thats pretty insane will u be at london at the olympics

  • @georgemvrules Nah, they don't allow sports cars in the Olympics ...

  • @pubuman LMAOOO that was good man.

  • Oh dear Britain you need to come strong if you want to even touch Mr Bolt's shadow.

  • I injured my hamstring a month before regionals and I was never the same. The following year, the only time I could muster up was 11.2.

  • I ran 10.9 & 22.9 @ age 16, i never trained though. Our school has never had a track. I was the slowest on the team, fastest guy ran 10.3 he was the same age. He ran 20.9 200.

  • @cmoneyno5 Your friend of 16 was Usain Bolt? :P

  • @cmoneyno5 your school's stopwatches were fucked

  • It would take 10 Usain Bolts to match the speed of Chuck Norris's Roundhouse kick, even then, Usain still couldn't cross Chuck Norris.

  • :::J:::A:::M:::A:::I:::C:::A:::!::!::!

  • Just african.......nothing more!

  • @nikos21gi *Jamaican

  • Just sharing some Vibez with you Your page its nice by the way Come by My page when You got Time

    Thank You Your YouTube Friend

  • look like luiz gustavo

  • Listen the commentary from 0:11 to 0:13 and stop. If u did it right you'll hear :

" This is where we knew this young man was gonna be a fag"

This is a message for Bolt haters =D

btw I don't hate him he did all this by himself. He won the Olympics 100m with really hard work, and he's soo bashful . * sarcasm *

  • lol 0:16 to 0:18 looked like he was running with his eyes closed

  • i love usain bolt!!!!!!!!! <3

  • he so skinny

  • @weemancoops I think you would be skinny to if you was 16 and 6"5. Hard to bulk up before you stop growing

  • @1337inzock yeah good call, but i was shocked how skinny he was, thats is certainly not the case with jack gil

  • damn he dont' look 16. this nigga aint changed since he was that age. only thing diff is his stride length.

  • @iSkeetnskidaddle haha I think I was 14 when this race happened and thought he looked way older than me. He was definitely a beast at 16.

  • @iSkeetnskidaddle his muscles are bigger too now

  • @iSkeetnskidaddle In this video he's as tall as the second athlete,he aint changed?? RoFL

  • @iSkeetnskidaddle the difference??more experience and twice bigger muscles

  • @iSkeetnskidaddle why do i feel racism in what your judgement ?

  • @Franckbery Racism? What the fuck are you talking about?

  • @iSkeetnskidaddle don't use offensive language if you want to address me!

  • @Franckbery What the f**k are you talking about, Franckbery? What racism?

  • I can't wait to see him in the 2012 olympics

  • @senegal1b3 Agreed! World championships next year should be good too!

  • @ThomasRiekki I dont think the world championships are the same year as the olympics

  • @ThomasRiekki it wasn't... he got disqalifiied

  • @ThomasRiekki Sucks that he got disqualified :P

  • @senegal1b3 neither can I

  • @UsainBolt43 no thats horrible.

  • @UsainBolt43 haha ur an idiot

  • he ACTUALLY runs time that these lying people on youtube say they do

  • Thomas Tyner from Aloha Oregon ran 21.63 freshman year in highschool! He may be in olympics in the future like Bolt!

  • Bolt actually won this race into a -1.1w and you heard the commentator said he defied the rain as well. So calculate, if he had gotten favorable conditions what time he actually would have ran here. So when Carl Lewis and other idiots come out and say Bolt came out of nowhere it pisses me off.unlike some people, Carl Lewis must have heard about Bolt , he was an athlete ,so he would normally keep up to date with the sport.

  • Wau...20.13 at 16 ? :O I am 14 um run 24´s,

  • LAWWWD HAMMERCYYYYYY...LOL

  • i am 16 and i run 13.18 in the 100m and 25.96 in the 200m am i good lol?

  • @Tylerbmlss Tbh its not brilliant, i ran less/about that when i was 11/12. Keep up working at it and you've got room for improvement :)

  • @Tylerbmlss Just train and don't give a damn of what people say. I was 14 when I started and I ran my first 200m in 27.88. Now at 16 I run 23.32. Train your strength and do some technical training too.

  • @MrKarlozz when i said those where my 200m times i am not to worried about them seeing as how i am a long distance runer 5km to 10km i was just curious what a good 200m time is but i have never ran anything less then the 3km in track

  • @Tylerbmlss no i would absolutely destroy you in a 100m

  • @Tylerbmlss i am 13 and i do close to that slightly more and there are 12 year old girls doing faster........... so the simple answer is no its not that good. its good but not that good. i would expect 11.90 to 11.50 from a 16 yar old

  • @osemudiame123 u do know this is 200m right

  • omg i am the fastest person at my school and i run at 27 :(

  • @blackhearts2cent Are you 9?

  • lol im so slow i run a 27 compared to u guys

  • Alright guys, enough with the times. Your times in your teens may not mean you are going to be a world class sprinter or not. I've seen fast guys get slower or stay the same from their teens and I've seen slow guys get considerably faster in their late teens/early 20s.

  • @ThomasRiekki hey im fast as shit but didnt plan on competing later but yeh some of these ppl commenting are smokin something

  • OMG!! I'am a 15year old hungarian sprinter but i have 22,78 on 200m and 11,19 on 100m and 610 in longjump!!

  • @titaan95 NO ONE CARES. You won't be nothing anyway. Stop bragging.

  • @JustZlatancom Pfff...

  • Wow he ran 20.13 at 16...crazzy. I thought I am fast at 22.99 and Im 16

  • Man I really wish he would of also ran the 100m when he was younger. I'm almost certain he would of gone sub 10 at around 18 years old. Maybe then the doubters would stop saying that he just got fast out of nowhere. He's been crazy fast from the beginning, but had a few injuries after 2004 that put a hault on his progression. But now... well the rest is history. Lol.

  • deaanthomson they didnt time it wrong they timed me twice and got around the same time ;]

  • WTF 20.13 at 16

im 15 and run low 24's

  • @usalavy19 That's solid. The winning time at nationals for 15 year old boys in Canada is usually a low 23 and sometimes a high 22. The winner of our 15 year old high school provincials in BC was like a 23.8 or so.

  • @ThomasRiekki yea i ran in it, in prelims i ran 24.6 then before the finals i ran a 800 so i had a pretty slow final

  • @ThomasRiekki nationals in the us is like a high 20 something

  • @TYLerlittmann For juniors, not 15 year olds. I don't think you had anyone medal in the 200m at world juniors or youth Olympics this year and they would have with a high 20. It's more competitive than in Canada though. You guys have the biggest density of high caliber sprinters in the world.

  • @ThomasRiekki ahhh my bad, i red your post wrong. and this year we didnt have anyone go under 21 but we had a few go under 21.10 with some headwinds.

  • @usalavy19 Your Just Slow Im 14 An Running 23.26 :)

  • @clipzy2k8 thats bull. where do you live

  • @usalavy19 London

  • @usalavy19 well ur not bad man....usain is just a freak lol..20.13, a lot of college guys cant even run that haha

  • @usalavy19 you suck

  • @usalavy19 wowwww...in india it is low 30...

  • Theresa 14 year old boy from Canada running a 20.98!!!!

  • @123zippy123 No need to spam the comments.

  • @123zippy123 yea that kid is fucking nuts!

  • @123zippy123 no hes not

  • Theresa 14 year old boy from Canada running a 20.98!!!!

  • Theres a 14 year boy in Canada running a 20,98 in 200m !!!!!!

  • for all u people that hate this video proves hes not using drugs hes been lightning since he came out the womb

  • wait a min so 10.41 is fast for a 16 year old and i asked the track coach to time me at my school and i got 10.1 and im sixteen shld i be running track? lol

  • @shadow36711 timed it wrong

  • I'm also telling the hatez to look out for a guy name Jazeel Murphy, he pulled up at boy and girls champs this year ,hamstring. He's 16 this yr,last yr this guy ran 10.41 in 100 m and 20.97 in 200m, was expected to go faster this yr, but injuries. Although his father wants him to just run the 200 for now.Don't know if he'll be fit for wj later this month, he's a beast, those times are way faster than the class one boys who are 18 and 19 yo.Also a guy name Odeen SKEEN.

  • @Ras09true From Jamaica? Did he qualify for WJC? Those are some serious times too. There is a Canadian boy around 15 running mid 10s, but Canada is only sending one athlete in the 100m because the final at nationals was so windy and nobody made the qualifying time, even though a few guys ran 10.5 in the first round. I think the winning time at the US jr. nationals was around 10.3. If he doesn't go this year, there is WYC next year.

  • @Ras09true yea odean skeen is 15 right now turning 16 in august ran a 10.46 and a 20.84 i cant wait until him and murphy race in the 200. i think murphy would've have ran atleast a 20.7 if he wasn't injured after basically jogging a 21.20 in his first 200 of the season in february.

  • He was also WJC, so it amazes me how some people could come out after he won Olympic and wc that he came out of no where. These people clearly don't know track.

  • @Ras09true I agree. He is amazingly talented. I like to compare his technical abilities here to his races in Berlin. You can easily see the great work Mills has done with him.

Most people don't follow track and have no idea about WYC or WJC. He was also the silver medalist from the 200m at worlds the year before and most people still thought he came out of nowhere. Lots of people I knew thought he just started track!

  • Even after seeing this race some hatez still are hatin and takin crap. You're in denial, see this guy is a phenom, no drugs, he's just a once in a lifetime gem, like Pele or Maradonna,Tiger Woods, Jordon or Kobe etc.I wish i had saved those videos of him at boys and girls champs, and that 19.93 he did at cac games as a 16 yo. By the way he won this race into a -1.1 headwind, so the times he's doing now in a headwind isn't surprising to me.His showmanship was there also, always lively.

  • some kid in ohio runs a 20.9 in the 200m. not that far off, you never know how fast he could get

  • this nicca been settin records since he popped out the womb. he prolly holds the infant and toddler record for crying the loudest.

  • I'll try and find some. There is one on youtube of him when he won world juniors when he was 15. Search for that one.

  • At 15/16? Doubtful. I think someone is just jealous.

  • Nah I was just checking how long it would take for someone to respond to such an outrageous comment. Still it doesn't mean I don't think he is.

  • lol. You're into hammer? There have been a lot of bands/suspensions thrown to hammer throwers in the last few years.

  • @ohedd fuck you hater you are just in denial.usain bolt is not on steroids stupid fucker.how can he be on steroids so young.he is just bless and you are just a hater posting crap on the you tube

  • @adz09ish Ya, why do people think he uses steroids? He isn't that big...and news flash, big muscles isn't all it takes to be a fast runner...

  • ha, even back then he was always watching the clock

  • 20.40 sec in 200m damn he shoodve run 100m and might get 10.20 or less !

  • He looked quite skinny then haha.

But I must admit that he could sprint very fast even when he was 16

  • thanks 4 da post

  • No problem! Thanks for watching.

  • iM 15 And iRun 21 Dead

    He Can Be Caught

If Its Not Me, It Will Be Someone Else

  • Can you link the results or have a video? You should have a shot at winning or medaling at world juniors then this year. If you're bsing or not, you seem to be to young to understand the significance of his achievements.
