1 The dark protagonist. (this might sound a Scarface cliché but "I like to root for the the bad guy") hence the title
2 Also the scene where he was behind the prison glass calmly smoking while the girl begs him to prove his innocence even though he literally turned her into a whore. PIMP has been loosely misused to describe some people but in this scenario wouldnt this word absolutely fit?
3 The scene when HanKi stabs the guy with a makeshift shank out of newspaper. I know its probably not possible but that just seems so bad ass
4 Even though dialogue was very lacking, there was great acting by both main characters as well as the supporting cast. Like the uploader of this vid said, POWERFUL
In my view, the best movies of all time are:
1 Braveheart
2 Bad Guy (as a very close 2nd)
3 Forrest Gump
If you like this movie, I also suggest The Isle by the same director, Kim Ki-Duk.

the end is very disturbing ,even I was not expecting a happy ending ,but it stills tells a lot on the frustration at getting happyness of the realisator !the cast is so gooood !& the girl so delicatly pretty !love asian women & Korean in a special way !when it comes to movies
very intense, disturbing movie. Aside from the excellent cast and the soundtrack most of it's appeal is IMO based on the fact that it makes no sense and that you can make up your own theories.
it's the most indescriptible sensation in front your eyes....when your're completly sure of the end...all the korean eye show you that you're seen the other sight of the knowledge
the revenge shown was quit illogical and was more of a forced act rather than a plotted dig

Esse filme é simplismente fantástico, um roteiro super interessante, a história entre os personagens chega a ser bizarra mas comovente.
Amo todas as cenas, tudo nesse filme é perfeito.
quem não gosta desse filme talvez seja porque não entendeu a essência que há nele.
É uma questão de amor e ódio.
Kim ki-duk é um dos meus diretores favoritos, e esse filme também está na minha lista dos melhores.
