The spoil goes into a pile outside of the cameral view, the dozer just takes it away and up somewhere to keep the area beside the ditch open for support equipment or to take the weight off the sides of the ditch to prevent a cave in.

Nice video, that guy seems a little too water happy to me but i couldnt tell you, ive never dug in that part of the country.

There's a dozer on the left, guess they just spread it evenly around the area.
