  • you have this thing set up well, it looks like it flies really nice. You have basic flight down perfect. Lets see some 3d!

  • Real nice flying buddy, im thinking about getting one of these heli's. I have a walkera 4#3b for indoor use but im wanting to go outside now.

Are these heli's very stable for normal hovering and basic stuff?

  • @CaptainCarling the 400 is a very stable heli. it will need a good setup of the head ant tail. the resopnes in controls and power are almost 10 times that of the small helis. so be very slow when first starting. this heli can defenetly help with the basics. i recommend servo and gyro upgrades to move in to advance manuvers. upgraded servos make this heli have a more locked in feel.

  • Have the Cameraman facing the house - reduces both shift in focus as well as the video cam constantly altering contrasting as you move from dark to light (the sky).

Great flying by the way, loving the videos!

  • Great Videos Brian

  • i did not know you need a flight suit to explain flight!

  • @jiner666 i didnt but day light was going and just got in from work im sure it would have sounded and been the same with out the suit. but i agree it does look cheesy

  • @sokal11 it ok i still learded alot

  • @jiner666 U FUCKING IGNORANT BASTARD! GO FUCK YOURSELF

  • What kind of cam are you using? Good angle, good shooting. Keep up the good work! 5 stars

  • I DO respect your flight skills!

  • great camera work! and flyn!

  • in spanish please ¡¡¡

  • senior por favor learn fucking english

  • Great flying! Saw the convo. about rigid v non-rigid rotor heads. I worked avionics on 60's and 46's in the Navy, so im pretty familiar with full scale rotor heads. Do you think their could be any advantages to a more scale-like non rigid setup on an RC bird? Not sure it would be easy to setup mini droop stops and blade dampeners tho : )

  • Thank you for taking the your time to show us pilots the how to's! Can we suggest a different local too, to mix it up:) Also,Plz teach camera man to be silent! There are young'ins watcnin this too and it sound like he is devil talkin to himself? Okay thankyou. We love the B400! It is a love affair at this point for us at least. Cheers~Janick in Fla:)

  • Are you a WO? CWO? thank you for your service, My dad is an Army CW4, and i am an USAF Airman 1C. Hoping to get C17... anyways i just bought my Blade 400 abouuuut... an hour and a half ago, I'm waiting for it to charge and I'm getting antsy. Thanks for the vid!

    -Michael

  • sorry not a WO yet im a SSG/E-6 flight engeneer on a CH-47 but next year ill be in flight school. and thank you and your dad for your service. take it slow my friend time is on your side. she is a beast if wanted and a kitten when needed. just take it slow and smile

  • Hey Sokal...thanks for the informative videos. I just got a Blade 400 the other day and can hover it pretty good so far. Many Many hours on a sim. My question for you is, are you doing all this in idle up? I'm flying in normal mode right now.

  • yes i fly only in stunt mode(idle up)

its make the heli more stable and more responsive and also enables inverted manuvers. keep at it and become much more comfertable with it before you go in to idle up mode as the throttle will not cut off if you crash and dump the stick. you will have to hit throttle hold to stop the motor. keep at it ans soon you will only fly in idle up as well

  • hey sokal quick question what is a non-riged roter system

  • thier are 2 types of non riggid rotor heads

    semi-rigid and fully articulated

semi rigid is kinda like a seesaw its hindged in the center

fully articulated rotor head is each blade can pivot individually

  • thx thats really nice to actually know and good job with all your vids helped me alot

  • nice fligth suit !!

  • nice fligth suit

  • Thanks Sokal. Your vids are helping me out a-lot! I just got my B400 but I haven't fired it up yet. I'm not rich so, I'm trying to get all of the info I can before I start flying. Keep it up!

  • It is nice that it was explained first. Without the flying. Good stuff. Thank you.

  • He who wear flight suit when explaing rc helicopter, make me big laugh!

  • glad my flight suit was intertaining

just got back from a flight and niehbor was out to do the vid for me and forgot i had it on

but all i tried to do is give the best explaination of what happens to helicopters in flight and how to control it

sry if it wasnt up to your taste

but let me know the next time you work and fly on a real helicopter so you can help me explaine what happens

  • I think your flight suit looks just right. Thanks for posting these instructional videos, I just bought the Blade 400 and I think watching these videos might just save me a crash or two.

  • Thanks Sokal.

  • I have to agree, please keep posting videos. I don't have many instructors that I have met yet that are good with heli's so im kindof learning on my own. Your videos are priceless.

  • I've been flying for about 3 or 4 months, and can only fly my B400 at a soccer feild or somewhere there is plenty of room. I can fly lazy figure 8s and bop around with it. I am hoping that soon I can fly tighter and with more authority.

  • Sokal, how long have you been flying these things?

  • 7 months

  • u got balls to b flying there

  • You are a good pilot for sure. My guess is you have experiecne with much larger aircraft as well.

  • Breathtaking good!!!

  • These videos are awsome!!!! very good explaination of terms and moves!!
