Sorry to be late to the party on the comments, but this tour was a lot of fun. We did four shows in California in February of 2007. This was my fifth show with Mitch. The band was Mitch's (no-ex) wife Shalini Chatterjee on bass and myself playing drums. I'm still playing with Mitch (as of August 2011) and we have had a few different incarnations in the last few years.
One of my favorite tunes ever, and great to see Mitch play it. The song has great chord changes and texture. I love how he plays with with the ins and outs of the guitar part(s).
So cool as always. Mitch produced our band in Drive in studios in 1991, best time ever.. even got him to play along on a track for the album. Such a gent and a guitar God!
Mitch Easter is so great. His classics are so good, the public is yet to fully exhaust (or discover) his brilliance. Let him in a studio and he could "smoke" George Martin or the Beatles in a Battle of The Bands. Mitch: it's good to hear you!
Still plays that Rickenbacher mighty fine-like. Where's Mitch been? Could have used his likes these past few years with all the crap floatin' around the airwaves.
unappreciated genius

Mitch Easter is an amazing guitarist. Not just an amazing producer. Not just an amazing songwriter. Incredible chops.

I'm a big fan of Mitch, but saying he'd "smoke" George Martin or the Beatles is just plain silly.

I'm with you on this one, Tigerbalm. The Beatles are all well and good, but I would take Let's Active a thousand times over.

Nice to hear Mitch can still rip the solo from "Waters Part" - and the lovely Mrs. Easter is hard on neither the ears nor the eyes!

In the studio! After REM's Murmur he was in such demand as a Producer that Let's Active went by the wayside.
