ok listen on a chip i find it alot better to get air instead of what you did and with air you have to get under the ball and a follow thru and with practice you can have backspin but you have to have loft in your chip!!!

You are not trying to create backspin when you chip. The chip is a shot with 1/3 air and 2/3 roll. To chip a ball with distance control you want the golf ball to roll like a putt once it hits the green.
LoL, the day I see a PGA pro chip like that is the day i'll try that, I always follow through and my chipping is the best part of my game.

there is no way to gauge a chip shot with no follow through. you dont dig your club into the ground that's how you skull it

i think thats pretty poor. You should always try to follow through on chip shots, thats how to generate nice back spin.
