@guayaba209 Thats what i first thought too and now i have been practicing it for over 7 years. Dont forget that police departments around the U.S teach it in D.T training and the milatary adapted its techniques. I bet you havent even taken one class so the joke is on you.
@aikikai17 look i'm sure this works and all but there has been countless occasion where pro on pro action and the akido always loses. its kinda hard to use some power against them when they are so precise. It only works against the average joe. And if you have been practicing for over 7 years. Tell me why the other guy always just runs into the instructor.
@guayaba209 The "other" guy runs into the instructor is because aikido is defensive. You can allow your opponent attack where you want and take advantage of that. If that doesnt work then you can strike first and set them up. They would automacticaly raise to block. It'll be UNLIKELY you will get in a fight with another martial artist because some are disciplined enough to walk away and laugh at you for even trying to pick a fight.
@guayaba209 Pro on Pro fights of Aikidoka? WTF?! Are you smoking there have never been pro fights who use Aikido because 1. All mma tournaments do not allow for small joint manipulation 2. can't spike/throw a person on there head. 3. It totally goes against an Aikidoka's teaching to even partake in an MMA sport. (Aikido is close to being a religion for practitioners because it emphasizes peace and to never be the aggressor.)
@guayaba209 This is to show the principle of kuzushi. Someone who is really intending to hit you very hard, won't hold back. If he tries to punch me, I just walk away. Well then he needs to run after me and that's when my attacker's off balance.
Great! Do you also have video which either contains the Wing Chun part or the whole Tournament.
