  • Yeah, this was really boring and anti-climactic the whole way... the only reason I watched the entire thing was because I am stoned. I just got back from Italy where they have scooters everywhere and I rode one while in Rome every time going out and that shit was fun! It's like playing a video game, riding through the crazy and chaotic streets, like a Cairo city taxi cab ride is. So I thought this dumb vid would have been fun. Now I am gonna look up motorino and search crazy scooter vids.

    Try a Honda Scooter 525CC at least or may be a Vespa..in other words: "You need the speed"...in order to avoid becoming 'fair game'.

  • Going cross country on a bike with that much gear would prove very difficult I can barely go 15 on my mountain bike and I customized it to handle heavy loads and terrain like the boys might encounter.

    Road bikes can go max 30 but that's with skinny tires that would easily go flat under the boys' road conditions. Bikes that can go 30 are pedaled by majorly trained athletes and advanced riders and without gear and with a untralight bike stripped of mostly everything a factory bike comes with.

  • If you get the urge to periodically drive with one hand during your trip I'd just like to warn you, when dear see this they will often jump out in front of you. I rung my bell 3 days ago when a dear faked me out and didn't know where I was or which way to head home for about a hour.

  • For one, these are 50cc scooters, so speeds of 45-50 aren't possible. Your math also seems way off. My 150cc scooter gets 109.4 MPG and hits a top speed of 60~ MPH.  Assuming you also have a 150cc, since you claim speeds of 45-50, your trip should have cost you only $14.00, and that's at a cost of 3.00 per gallon. Perhaps you forgot to mention this was a round trip figure.

  • Perhaps I forgot to include I was hauling a few backpacks full of clothes and other stuff that one uses to survive a week.

    The speedometer says 60, but it is also in the red, and it also doesn't work. I drive by rpms, and i also stop often on long trips because the fuel gauge doesn't work...i drive by feel. Also, if you wanna be technical, its a 149cc. and only holds 1 gallon.

  • for the record...Peter did throw it away :) mentioning not to litter...if you look at the next scene with the lady, it's in his hand again ....the scootstars are all about the enivornment..heck, the trip was partially funded by recycling bottled water and monster energy drinks.
