Good things and bad things about the map travel:

Bad- It won’t have the same feeling as exploring I would imagine

Good- At least it saved me the time to go all the way from Divinity’s reach to Hoelbrack just to get a snow leopard as a pet! Yea I know it sounds sad. -_-

or is it a hole new place, but called tyria like is there going to be droks, lions arch or ascalon? is this supposed to be the same time period as the first?

@clifford1122: it will be the same Tyria.. but with a make over. The Dragons have changed a bit of the land scape to their liking... along with the flood from Zhatian. But players will note several landmarks that they have seen in the originaly Guild Wars. So same Tyria... with changes... but you will see some old names and landmarks. Plus we are already told the world will be a lot bigger!

@JegErMorsom Yes, but running 100km to reach your destination is not fun, you must admit. In a world of magic, it's actually pretty acceptable to be able to move instantaneously. And they did include the port system in the lore: you travel through the Asura Gates, first discovered by Humans 250 years ago. ;)

@ZoneFighter1 You can get from major city to major city easily, but I like the paying for small places. It makes the world seem bigger because in GW1 you were able to "fly" to anywhere in the game instantly making the game world feel incredibly small.

OnlineWelten said more about feats-Sabre There is the straight forward “count feat” where you get rewarded for the miles you hit or the amount of fighting you do every day. It is also important how many different kind of things you do and what challenges you face while running into creatures. There are some skill-based feats as well, such as how fast you kill, how many things you kill and how long of a killing streak you can do.
