its maybe because your router is out of its warranty service.. this router has a 1 year hardware warranty and also a year of free support.. its actually on the box.. im no rich person but, for 29 bucks or 40 bucks in 6 months, i think that's good deal.. eveything on the router is covered by the tech support.. tried it once and it was a big help.. until now, the router is still on its good condition, same as new

DO NOT, buy linksys products...Especially the WVC54GCA. I had trouble for a year with Linksys not being able to setup this POS, and by the time I figured out the camera was simply garbage, the warranty expired. Now LINKSYS is telling me I have to pay for support , instead of letting me simply get a replacement. I tried to get a replacement in the beginning, but their tech support kept insisting I was at fault. ..Get a Belkin or NetGear, Their Customer Care is FAR Superior.

If you press the reset button the router will set default configuration,if you unplug it the router will re-fresh. unplugging the router and pressing the resset button are 2 diffrent things.

linksys is the best consumer router hands down. I've worked on hundreds of them and they are the most reliable and stable. You will always have bad apples in the bunch ,but compared to other brands, linksys is till the best hands down. I work for a internet company and i've seen them all.

I have had 5 "five" Linksys routers over the past 2 years and each one has stopped working all together. Funny thing is, I would upgrade each time thinking if I spend more money, I would get a better product that would last for a long time. Ha ! So much for that old saying, ( You get what you pay for.) Now I only buy D-Link products. I replaced that old junk brand with the DIR-655 Xtreme N Gigabit Router. Its been a year and its still tick'in! Oh ya.... It was cheap at Costco.

Default password is admin, leave the username alone.
