i went to scchool fer 4 years for diesel mechanics and work at the diesel doctor for 3 years....u can put big injectors in a stock 7.3...all together im gettin 230 hp of chip and programer combined...20 hp of cold air intake....70 hp out of the wicked wheel turbo upgrage...injectors 175 hp....25 hp with the ethenol injection....15hp out of the smoke switch...40 hp with the high comp pistons....soooo ya

i think you should run it about a foot from the rear axle and point it out the side in front of the passenger rear tire, you won't get soot under your truck this way

I raced him the other day and cleaned his clock. I can smoke but smoke is waisted HP, why would anyone want to waste power when it is so expensive in the first place.
What are you talking about. First ,my 2000 EX has over $35k into it and it may not be as fast as the 6.4 but I can do a high 8's in the 1/8, not bad for a 9k pound school bus. Second, the most modded and highest HP light truck diesel in the world is the 12 valve Cummins. Produced from 94-98, not in the last 5 years.
there are a lot of problems with this statement. The past five years have given more problems then the collective issues of the 7.3, 5.9 and 6.6 duramax of almost all years. Ive seen 6.0 p-strokes bone stock on their 2nd set of heads from warpage, 3rd egr cooler, and head gaskets every day. the 6.4 is a messunless you beat the bag out of it, said from the only diesel ford warranty tech at my local dealership. New diesels are a mess with the epa junk that are on them, and only mods can fix it
But my next project is to get a 6.4 in the EX, I want 800 plus reliable rwhp. There are a bunch of 700 plus 6.4's out there with tune, dpf delete and intake (with a little juice to make up for the lack of air), High 600's without the gas..... .

I'm not a diesel tuner, I drive a cummins and a DSM, and I know well enough that you're not coming close to 900hp. let's say you started at 300hp, and 600lb-ft, a programmer and a chip may slightly raise boost levels and allow you to tune in the aftermarket injectors, get a bit more diesel flowing, but you're only going from 17lbs to 20 or so, and that will never add 600 hp to anything. maybe 50 all together if you're lucky.

Don't worry about what other people think. As long as you like it, enjoy it. There is a guy in a Dmax here in Lynchburg that smokes so much that you can't see the road. I raced him the other day and cleaned his clock. I can smoke but smoke is waisted HP, why would anyone want to waste power when it is so expensive in the first place.

What are you talking about. First ,my 2000 EX has over $35k into it and it may not be as fast as the 6.4 but I can do a high 8's in the 1/8, not bad for a 9k pound school bus. Second, the most modded and highest HP light truck diesel in the world is the 12 valve Cummins. Produced from 94-98, not in the last 5 years.

there are a lot of problems with this statement. The past five years have given more problems then the collective issues of the 7.3, 5.9 and 6.6 duramax of almost all years. Ive seen 6.0 p-strokes bone stock on their 2nd set of heads from warpage, 3rd egr cooler, and head gaskets every day. the 6.4 is a messunless you beat the bag out of it, said from the only diesel ford warranty tech at my local dealership. New diesels are a mess with the epa junk that are on them, and only mods can fix it

I love my 7.3. Nearly 500 rwhp and no problems.
But my next project is to get a 6.4 in the EX, I want 800 plus reliable rwhp. There are a bunch of 700 plus 6.4's out there with tune, dpf delete and intake (with a little juice to make up for the lack of air), High 600's without the gas..... .

I'm not a diesel tuner, I drive a cummins and a DSM, and I know well enough that you're not coming close to 900hp. let's say you started at 300hp, and 600lb-ft, a programmer and a chip may slightly raise boost levels and allow you to tune in the aftermarket injectors, get a bit more diesel flowing, but you're only going from 17lbs to 20 or so, and that will never add 600 hp to anything. maybe 50 all together if you're lucky.
