I LOVE Andrew Lloyd Weber....I was the white cat in a local production...and now I actually have a white cat....and she's deaf. She doesn't hear the beautiful music from this incredible production.......but I can only hope anyone who is the white cat in future productions will think of the actual white cats out there....and especially my darling girl, Coconut.

This IS the original cast. It didn't originate on Broadway but at London's West End at the New London Theatre 11 May, 1981 with Elaine Paige as seen here in the role of "Grizabella", the now old and near-broken ex-glamour cat -- singing the heartbreaking, "Memory", her signature song.

Cats premiere was in the 1981, and only Elain Page and sir John Mills were on stage.

@Mcommander23 It's a dance spectacle show, very unlike your traditional musical. It would be unfair to compare it to Les Mis. Just enjoy it for what it is. That's really all you could ever ask from it. And it really isn't "stupid" when you consider its origins. After all, it never was meant to be a stage show. Just a concert piece. I think it's quite ingenious, honestly. But, let's be real, does it try to come off as thought-provoking in the first place? Of course not.

@luckkelol alot of times mics are hidden well if its professional which this is. they sometimes wire them through the hair/wigs then cover them up with makeup so they just sit on the top of the forehead this way its not distracting to people staring at a mic the whole show
