I looked at the entire site on Google maps and from what I can tell that the only reason that it is top secret and a no go for us civies is that it is a hazardous materials and toxic waste zone, there is a patch of nuclear weapon detonation testing craters that is 35 km long and almost 10km wide other that that it is off limits for your own protection.The other weird thing is that it seems to have been abandoned in some areas probably once in 1973 and further back it was a mothball for atomic-
