  • @Kabir1024 Well like you said pal.. ur not an urdu speaker. So kindly just comment on your own langauges videos... thanks.

    FREE KASHMIR.

  • @Kabir1024 You may have learned these things... but I assure you I have lived it and this is the way it is. Please refrain from criticizing me as I did not ask for it.... if you dont like it... tough. Move On. I have already explained the history behind the language this is known by all Pakistanis and indian Muslims... you have no right in any form to say things you have "learned" about someone else and there culture when you have a very limited understanding of them.

    Thanks.

  • Thumbs Up Below Please, I would like everyone to see this.

  • Urdu is the language that the Muslim Emperors of India spoke and trained the local hindu subjects to learn... and because Islamic rule in india last over 1000 years, they have chosen to keep it as there national language...

The problem however is that they refused to speak the same langauge as the Muslims much like how they refuse Aug 14th as there independence day because of the "Muslims" so they took what is Urdu and changed the name to hindi for there own pathetic pleasure.

  • she's gorgeous!

  • It is very good to see you learning Urdu language and of course been a pleasure to follow your videos since last 5 years. I'm an Entrepreneur living in Göteborg and I would like to extend my help if you need to practice Urdu language as I'm native Urdu speaker. Lycka till!

  • who cares about this shit ..

  • i will listen to you talk urdu all day!!

  • AssalamuAlaekum, great going, Yasmin. Btw, the background music is heavenly. So PIAyish. Good luck.

  • URDU is a dead language ..... its better to learn French Chinese or Hindi ........ They are languages of future .....

  • @23rdprime

Urdu is very much alive. Even Indians are mixing so much Urdu in their Hindi you can hardly tell the difference now in movies.

  • @saadxt I agree 100% ... u cant tell a difference between urdu and hindi when you speak ..... But i think urdu is not originally a language ...... u speak actually hindi and write in Farsi thats all .... Its just like we chat on net ... like : " Hindi aur urdu dono hi almost ek jaisi hi bhasha hai " <---- i am talking in hindi and writing in english .... Did i invented a new language ?? no ....

  • @23rdprime

"Hindi aur urdu dono hi almost ek jaisi hi bhasha hai." Well here is the difference. I know Urdu but I don't know what "bhasha" means. Hindi and Urdu have broadly similar structure but still pretty much different. I do understand most of Hindi when I watch a movie(I don't watch Indian(or even Pakistani) movies so thats why my vacabulary is bad about Hindi) but I almost can't make out a single sentence when I listen to Hindi news. That is probably pure Hindi or something.

  • @saadxt may be u r right brother ... but still i think Urdu is not a language (I think i need more 'proofs' to revert my thinking) .........

btw: I understand almost each and every word in urdu news (on pakistani TV and Indian TV too)

    :D

  • @23rdprime

And like the girl in the video says Urdu is a mix of many languages. I see a lot of Arabic in it too. It also has Persian and Hindi words in it. So yes it is a mix of different languages but a language none the less.

  • yay!:)) so good to see someone learn my language:))

  • That's really courageous to undertake sth like this. For now I'm learning the danish language but I think i'm also gonna try to learn urdu, later ;) This language is very interesting and sounds .. Mellifluous ! Thank u and great work ;D

  • hi yaiyasmin how r u ? i am genan my nationality is iraqi but i live in united arab emirates ,, i know a little bit to speak urdu , i have learnt from movies and some websites ,, i really want to improve my urdu language and the way you are teaching is very nice , please always post more videos ,, and thanks a lot for your effort it is really appreciated. take care.

  • Gr8 work....tnxx

  • your method of teaching is so good.

    chandshb@yahoo.com

  • i reli love this lovely beautiful girl, now i will say it in urdu well ill try lol

mein iss pyari, khoobsurat larki se bohot pyar karti hoo..... lol it sounds like a love line in urdu lol

i want to learn how to write urdu too lol

  • ohh!! Grand Pa from Sialkot!!

    very sweet

  • I will teach you Urdu lol no lie

  • It's absoloutley amazing how u r broadning Ur horizons on learning to speak another language. I think that's awesome. Take care. Allah hafiz.

  • Love you Yasmin

  • Urdu and hindi are not similar/same. Indians (hindi/hindustani speakers) cannot understand Urdu. Most people in Pakistan currently speak hindustani (a mix of urdu and hindi which is mostly hindi). Take the national anthem of Pakistan for example, most people think it is in Farsi, but it is in Urdu. Unfortunately because the majority of Pakistan now speaks Hindustani, they can no longer understand their own national anthem. I wish you luck in learning Urdu.

  • @Eios1234 : I 100% agree with you dude .

but people here do not understand this basic thing cuz of their ignorance.

    ALLAH BLESS You.

    Thank You.

  • @Eios1234 no thats not true, common spoken language has many similarities in both the language hence speakers of both languages understand each other. But if we move to more grammatically correct in both languages, its hardly understandable by speakers of Hindi and Urdu with each other. An Urdu speaker will not comprehend a bookish Hindi, same goes for a Hindi speaker who wouldn't understand the Bookish Urdu. But they both will understand their own bookish or grammatically correct language.

  • @TheProtruth No, you should really look up your history instead of using wikipedia. The reason modern "Urdu" speakers understand hindi is because they now speak hindustani. Read what I wrote carefully, the national anthem is not even spoken, it's sung, and not read out of a book. You differentiating between "bookish" (nice made up word btw) and spoken languages has no bearing. The language currently spoken by a majority of Pakistanis is hindustani.

  • @Eios1234 Watch the spoken (not out of books so its not "bookish" [lawl!]) news on Pakistani TV, there are no hindi speakers who will be able to understand it because it is closer to the original Urdu which is itself a dead/dying language unfortunately.

  • @Yaiyasmin Please dont mind, mindless people like ummarqureshi. Ignorance is bliss :p

  • @Yaiyasmin Ummarqureshi you should be ashamed by bieng ignorent upto the level of being rude. Good work Yaismin!

  • @requiem4neverland Oh, the irony.

  • @WHIREAS nej nej, jag menar det verkligen, ingen ironi.

  • @requiem4neverland hey hey! i have said nothing about u and u should me ashamed for being intruder in others matters.

  • @Yaiyasmin Out of interest because the possibility of a non-Urdu speaking spouse is pretty big among expatriate pakistanis: did you dad know fluent Urdu growing up, learn it later in life, or not know it at all?

  • @manimgoindowndown He knew it when he was a kid because he lived a few years in Pakistan, but when they left he didn't use it and started forgetting. But it all comes back when he goes back to Pakistan (has happened twice since he was 12). Same thing with other languages also, his family lived in many different countries so they knew the language when they were there but forget when they don't use it.

  • @ummarqureshi Why are you calling people 'liar"? and yes you spelled liar incorrectly... learn some English before you unleash your stupidity on youtube and please stop spreading hate! can you pinpoint that video in which she said her father is pakistani?? if no then go to bed and quit abusing people.
