Tinzi sa crezi asa pt ca esti evident incapabila sa afli cum statea de fapt situatia. Mizeriile de dinainte de revolutie sunt prea multe ca sa le insir aici.

Insa lucrul cel mai important (mai important decat banii) este ca azi mucosi ca tine nici macar nu-si inchipuie cum e sa ai de-a face cu securitatea, militia, partidul, turnatori, etc. Asta demonstreza ca e INCOMPARABIL MAI BINE.

There is one video of this speech with English subtitles on YouTube. I can't remember its title. Its translator has done a good job. The only word whose translation can be improved is "retribution," which in this context means "wage" or "salary." Ceausescu, desperate to please the jeering members of this huge crowd, promised to increase the minimum wage of Romanian workers by 200 lei (possibly 4 dollars) per month, starting in January 1990.
