The "boy" was actually an ex circus midget who got into retail shoe sales. He convinced the national company that he would be a better spokesman than a mere child. He is buried in Hornersville, Mo. P.S. the dog was real too but forget if he had a different name...I think the francise owners name was Major Ray...
