ginoongkamote, I love basketball. I am only 5'9 and I can dunk! I simply took the famous training plan at "50-inch-vertical(dot)com" - you can probably do it too
poor magic....he retired so young...imagine he didnt?.....would the rivalry with jordan be bigger?.....would he have won more rings?....would jordan have won less?.....would magic be considered the greatest and not jordan?......would magic have played the bulls more in the finals......u know he tried making a come back for 92-93 and played in spring training..i dont know what happened...then he came back in 95-96 for a little bit at least..well anyway here he wasnt done yet....played olympics
@DjBobbyLosAngeles The Bulls whipped Magic's Lakers in the 1991 Finals and Magic mused openly about retirement during that series, several months before learning that he'd contracted HIV. In his 1991 autobiography, "My Life," Magic's wife, Cookie, says that Magic was going to retire in a couple years anyway, that the Lakers' loss to Phoenix in the 1990 playoffs had drained him too badly and that he could see the team's sunset.
@joekiddlouischama Yes, L.A. returned to the Finals in 1991, but that accomplishment probably marked their last hurrah. They were an older team, James Worthy underwent season-ending knee surgery in 1992, and he was never the same thereafter. The nineties were not going to be their decade.
@joekiddlouischama As for Magic retiring again during the '92-'93 preseason, players such as Karl Malone expressed concern about playing against an HIV-positive opponent and Magic probably decided that the controversy wasn't worth his time, especially since the Lakers no longer were necessarily championship-caliber.
@joekiddlouischama I think it was more the Bulls being younger (outlasting) BOS, DET, LAL. They were fortunate to be able to run thru a gamut of fatally flawed teams in the 90s. The Knicks, supposedly their toughest opponent, was a ridiculously stupid team and lead by Ewing, who (though I like his hard play), was a bit of a choker. Worthy's knee did run his career into a brick wall, though. By 93, he was becoming a shell of even the 91 version. By 94, he was a shell.
@nonplayerzealot4 ... there's something to that, but we never saw the best of the Bulls against the best of the Lakers, Pistons, and Celtics, so we'll never know for sure. And the contenders that the Bulls beat to win championships were arguably much better than most of the clubs that the Lakers needed to face in the West in the 1980s (especially prior to 1988).
@joekiddlouischama well worthy and scott didnt play in game 5.....and anyway so ur a shit talker whos telling me how Magic wanted to retire.....u mean..like Jordan retired 3 times?..is that what u mean?.......and oh ok so he would have retired in 2 yeras...ok thats two more years......who knows what woul dhave happened in those 2 years....and also.....mayabe he would have changed his mind....u fucken chama then...
ginoongkamote, this video reminds me of why I watch basketball, along with all the ankle breakers. If you can't dunk yet, you have to start training. I definitely advise you to try the program I'm using - | 50 inch vertical [dot] com | - I m 5 7 and I can dunk!
ginoongkamote You play basketball? you have to take a look at this - "50inch vertical [dot] com" - It's a specialized workout that will make sure you start dunking and you don t even need to go to the local gym if you don t want to!
The Jazz gave the Lakers hell in '88. It was true...they were literally the hottest team in the NBA come playoff time like Worthy said. The Jazz series was tougher than the Mavericks series.
