Of course you could DMZ and not do any of this, but this is a complete Port Forwarding list for all PS3 related ports.

  • Where did u get that ringtone from. That's my favorite line I can't find it anywhere

  • just remember, try to make it about 15 numbers different from your computers, if your computer does not have a static ip, that way, it does not interfere with you and screw you over

  • hey man would this help if my network says fail when trying to do the test connection ???

  • how do you find the port that you need for your ps3. i keep finding that the ports are 80 or 8080 or 443, etc. how do you know which one works for you?

  • If I want to port forward, Do I then type in the same as you?

  • @Jajovski22 Yes, or backwards, however you want as long as THOSE ports from Link in description get fwd'd to IP that you set on Console

  • thanks so much bro i looked at some much vids and i never found one that really works

  • @llBlazell4 YW

  • could i use the same numbers you did to use from my port forwarding?

  • @MultiHabboScammers sure can, check link in description for ports, but if ur refering to IP (LAN) then yes, you can use 192.168.1.124 or whatever it was..... (IF your scheme is 192.168.1.xxx)

  • thank you

  • @bkzmemri YW

  • Just so you know, my problem (stated in my prev post) was solved when I followed your steps in the video. I don't know how to thank you but mannn you saved me a lot of anger and stress. Thank you very much.

  • @robinvannoor YW very much =)

  • So can I do dmz or portforwarding but not both?

  • @shaanlone786 easiest is DMZ, but don't do both, no need, one or other

  • I have being struggling with my PS3 and D-link (DIR-615) getting disconnected every 5 or so minutes. Sometimes I could play for hours before the problem starts again. I have followed your steps. Choose the easy DMZ to see if this solves. Fingers crossed. If it works, I will send you a hooker with happy ending... haha

  • Damnit my router does not have DMZ..

  • @CaptainP00face sometimes you haffa check under a different tab, such as WAN look thru all of them (Tabs) if still none, lemme know what router brand/model you have, cuz that'd be strange and Ima curious O_o

  • @CODBUNKER

    It's a Fritz!box 7340.

  • On the ports does it matter what order there in?

  • @yo2h1587 any order you want to enter them in, router sees them all in microseconds when it checks =)

  • @CODBUNKER many thanks

  • but wait, my nat type on the ps3 is still 2

  • @InfinityKil NAT is supposed to be 2 when you go thru ONE router, if you go thru TWO it will be NAT 3.............VERY BAD.......2 is good, you just don't want strict or moderate

  • i <3 you

  • @phillabong101 platonic <3 I hope. I'm married she might get jealous ;) but seriously, your welcome!

  • Due to lots of feedback & Q's on this, Ima do a vid for JUST Port FWD and one JUST for DMZ plus I think I'll do a xbox & a PS3, I will probably do a tute on what definitions of all this stuff is/means too.....I understand many out there are novice's but hoped that this would be a guide, and google would fill in rest for you, but since i like to help peeps, i'll make some comprehensive ones, just don't bash me for teaching it like ima talking to a 4yrs old LOL ;)

  • what are the drawbacks of opening all the ports on dmz

  • @dhaliwal0062 DMZ opens ALL ports, and for an open system such as a puter with no firewall, then hacks can access very easily, PS3 & Xbox have internal Firewall, so this is not issue, plus ur personal info is not stored on console, so DMZ to console no big deal, to a puter it is (I don't recommend it at all) if u still feel skittish then port forward vs DMZ (even though DMZ is easiest)

  • wait so what are you allowed to make the IP address between?

  • @nbukim0n the last digits yyy ( xxx.xxx.xxx.yyy ) can be from 2 to 254, you can't use 1 because that is router's and 255 is broadcast, ok =)

  • @CODBUNKER awesome thanks man

  • @nbukim0n YW =)

  • do i need to connect to media server for this

  • @dhaliwal0062 no you don't have to connect to media server (i actually recommend leaving media server off while playing games)

  • it always takes a while for the PS3 to pick up the internet but it always fails in that option............

  • Comment removed

  • I did these things( btw i live in australia so default is 10.0.0.1) and i still have nat type 2

  • @UnseenXXGhost Nat type 2 is what you want! NAT 1 = straight to internet, NAT 2 is going through router, NAT 3 is going through two routers. If your NAT 2, your good with that, but if you have strict or moderate you still have issue, but that has nothing to do with NAT 2. Ima haffa to a educational vid on Network Address Translation (NAT) and what it means =)

  • @CODBUNKER NAT type 2 is moderate, right. i have problems with mw3, i called activision and the guy told me to portforward to fix some connection issues, i followed this video but my nat type is still moderate despite i did the process correctly.

  • FUCKING FANTASTIC - THANK YOU!!

  • @cuntbollockswank Your welcome =) most get it fixed; however, some still struggling, Ima haffa do another tute on this one I think showing various router models, DMZ or Port Fwd, etc.... in Diff vids

  • Does anyone know the ports which need to be forwareded for ps3?

  • @faz7862 they are all listed in the link in the "Description" =)

  • Hey thank you very much i pretty much inputed all the ports i was able to find referencing to black ops and ps3 itself and i finally got my nat type open. im trying to find out how exactly to do it for wii because MW3 is showing as moderate. and its so laggy.. Thank you man, you rock!

  • @xg323 Check my response to @firestorme50

  • HOW DO YOU DO THIS ON WII!?!?!?!?!

  • @firestorme50 Haven't tried it O_o Lemme check my Wii out (that just sounds weird) and I'll get back witcha also try on twitter "ATVIMikey" or "ATVIBernard" these folks are activision support and are AWESOME they also have a few more there.

  • Why do you have a router if you are using WIRED CONNECTION ?

  • Is this for all COD's?? Are the ports to open the same for every cod on ps3?

  • Hi, for the last 3 digits for the IP address i choose a different number but when i test the internet connection it says Internet Connection Failed. What am i doing wrong?

  • Do I have to port forward AND enable DMZ? Or just one of both? Thanks/

  • Does the external IP need to be static?

  • I LOVE YOU

  • everyone who is asking help on thomson routers there's oly one way out. throw your router out of the window and get a linksys.

  • I did dmz and it says that Nat open, but still won't connect

  • thx dude, the dmz thing did it for me

  • Hey thanks. This helped me a lot :)

  • ps this video didnt help me for shit

  • can you please do a tutorial for a THOMSON router ?

  • @SR71NZ actually with all the responses to this video and some slightly gray areas I am thinking of doing another one like this with pretty much referencing ALL types of setups/routers etc... But if you check link in description, and follow vid, the basics are the same for all, just browse thru your router for the key stuff like DMZ or Port Forwarding/triggering depending on which route you want to go, the easiest is DMZ

  • it didnt work for me :(

  • @terrusaet :( did you check link in description for further details also

  • @CODBUNKER yea ive done everything and its still moderate :(

  • Thank you So MUCH!!!!! it works perfectly!!!!!!

  • @crazyarubian12 Ur Welcome and YAY!!! xD

  • So i only need to set the ip idress tingy on ps3. Add ports on the router and voala?

  • @ZombieMarlack Yes viola! Follow video and check link in description for further details =)

  • omg im open :O

  • @xiRabzz YAY!! xD

  • so what do i put on ''default router'' and ''primary dns'' ?!?!?

  • @littlebuch default router is what your router says, typically it's 192.168.1.1 and for primary dns it's the same as default router, secondary dns, just leave at 0.0.0.0

  • hey man i followed your advice but i still cant get it to nat type open on nba2k11 or street fighter third strike all i get is moderate. On call of duty mw2 or black ops they were always open its just those 2 games that give me moderate.please help me out.

  • @superblaze23 If you get Black Ops open nat then u are doing great, LOL but for the other games, that is weird, if your on Xbox sign up with twitter and hit up @xboxsupport or try the maker of games @EA I think for nba2k11, not sure of street fighter, they may require different ports, also check my link in description, Good luck =)

  • Thanks man.

  • @hiral317 It's aaaaallll Good =)

  • @CODBUNKER Keep up the good work bro.

  • I LOVE YOU IM NOW OPEN THANKS!!!

  • @14BEN1418 tks for the <3

  • Btw mate could you help me get moderate back? I can't even play mw2 with open nat, black ops takes 10 min+ to find a match and it's laggy.. Please reply asap :D

  • @sp0ng3bobz did you check the link in description to see if that helps

  • @CODBUNKER Didn't help >.< but thanks though :)

  • I think I may have to do another Video Tute on this one, to try and answer ALL Q's out there, It was meant as a guide, hoping for specifics (such as to your brand, etc) or understanding the terms (UPnP, NAT, DMZ, etc) that you all could "google" those, but I'll see if I can get a more "detailed" vid up soon-ish =)

  • Oh yea, and also, if I've helped you out, or am currently trying too.............how bout a SUB!???? =D It doesn't cost anything ;)

  • umm im confused when i try to port forward i press add and it says trigger port stard and end and open port start and end which one am i supposed to do?

  • @Ash7RonaldoHD start and end are the same (i.e. for port 80 start is 80 and end is 80) NOTE: for 3074 and 3075 can be done as (start 3074 end 3075) and to make life easy select "both" on ALL, I did (i.e. UDP/TCP) since some overlap =)

  • OKAY OKAY FIXED IT AFTER MONTHS! Put your ps3 in dmz mode, give it a static ip adress, when you connect it to router, UPNP disable and your done! i promise you will get open nat type. 3 steps and open nat type i just done it so happy :D

  • Which is better? And will it have negative effects on the other computers/consoles connected to the same router?

  • @choclets2 none is really "better" but DMZ is the easiest for sure, they should have no effect on other computers, etc. I will say this though (i think due to my specific router) that my Xbox wasn't happy with port fwd, but loves DMZ and PS3 is happy with both, since my router only lets me have ONE DMZ, I Port Fwd PS3 and DMZ Xbox and all is well =)

  • @CODBUNKER

I'm going to unsubscribe so I could subscribe to you again!

    Thank you for responding.

And also , when I get in MW2 , it says NAT type open , or something like that.

So does that mean I did it right?

  • @choclets2 LOLz :D & NAT type open is exactly what you want, that means sa'llGood!

  • @choclets2 open=good :) moderate=not kewl :( and strict=BAD :'(

  • I tried this but I keep getting NAT Type 3... Tried screwing with everything and cant change it to Type 2

  • @17mmorris a NAT 3 is surely going thru TWO routers, google NAT 3 and you'll see this, in other words you are getting your Private Network Translated to the WAN (wide area network: Internet) to your private 2x giving the NAT 3. Optimum setup is input to modem (DSL phone line OR Cable into modem) then single output to Router, UNLESS you modem is a MODEM/ROUTER combo then you do not want to go into another router or you'll get NAT3

  • do i have to reset my ps3 or my modem or both or just start the hell of it?

  • i did that but upnp is still not available on ps3 and yes my router has it

  • hell yea thnx dude

  • i did a couple of things to tweak my ps3 black ops speed.

set in router Mtu =1500, set mtu in ps3 to automatic..

Fix ps3 ip addr, put in dmz of router like in this video. But don't forget to nominate a fast dns . You can use your router IP as primary DNS or you can get

fancy and use :DNS Benchmark, By Steve Gibson , freeware to find a fast DNS server... i also used portforward dot come to open ports , but DMZ does same thing, from what i understand. A fast local DNS, is vital 4 speed.

  • Hey, on my PS3 my NAT type always is 2, open, but on my router settings it says Secure. Would I benefit from setting it to open on the router settings as well?

  • @RodmanIsASadPanda go thru a router, you will be NAT type 2, that is ok, you don't want to see NAT3,

  • im always having problems when it comes to the DNS servers...

  • @vnguyen06 try google'n OpenDNS servers or use googles own as your DNS server, they are: Primary 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 because maybe your ISP (internet service provider) has a crappy DNS?

  • @CODBUNKER thx bro...was playin cod earlier & i lagged like hell (Still managed to blow some heads off though)..I think my ps3 is overheating + internet lag = killer...

    Any tips on overheated consoles?

  • @vnguyen06 get a AC in your room.

  • i did all that and i kept singing out of PSN wat did i do wrong

  • @Killahpriest35 So it sounds like you DMZ'd AND Port Forward'd, just do one, you really can't do both. So JUST DMZ it, try that, if that don't work THEN Port Fwd it, but don't do both at same time =)

  • @stenky0wenky I had issues with certain routers not doing what you "tell" them to do (i.e. setting them up they way you want, and they still don't do it) It's like they ignore some of your settings, only thing i could suggest in this instance is a diff router??? Buy one if that don't fix it then take it back ;)

  • i do all what you do and it still moderate ... i have buffalo router can you help

  • @CODBUNKER I have a question, if you will be using DMZ or port forwarding, shouldn't you disable UPnP on the router and PS3?

  • @Insoluble25x Yes, technically you "should'; however, I've tried both ways and it didn't seem to make a diff, UPnP is supposed to let PS3 "tell" router how it wants it, but some cases it don't happen that way :(

  • Where can i Find the LAN Server Ip Address?????

  • I'm doing this on a Tp-link router but on virtual servers not Port triggering. Port forward.com says I have to do it on Virtual

  • I did put my PS3 in the DMZ but ti didn't work. My NAT type is still Moderate. I already put static IP on PS3

  • please reply i got a new netgear router and it wont connect to my ps3 using wired but it will wireless but i want wired help?

  • can u plz give me the ports....... :D

  • can u give me the link that tells me the ports?

  • @zVeNuM portforward . com

    no spaces

  • I cant type in the first 3 boxes when i try to input ip adress please help

  • i got 2wire do i have to have netgear?

  • i have a problem mine say 10.0.0 than blank what do i do

  • Mrstylezp,

Make sure you set DNS to your router 192.168.1.1 (typical or 192.168.0.1) alternate is 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 (google dns) try your routers first, enter into first line leave second line 0.0.0.0

  • @CODBUNKER what do i enter in the server ip adress while portforwarding?

  • i get no internet in ps3 it says dns comunication problem.

  • This just will not work for me. I'm running it on a MAC, maybe that's an issue? I'm getting terribly frustrated with it.

  • It still works for wireless, my tute shows wired, but select wireless, manual setup, enter your SSID, all other stuff, etc, just make sure you set IP addy manually as shown in tute, ie 192.168.1.125 then make sure DMZ host on router is 192.168.1.125 viola all set :)

  • i have wireless

  • YES, YES, and YES to all below :)

and if any of you still having issues with video make sure you read directions on my site:

google "mysite" how to port forward

mysite=codbunker in case you didn't figure that one out ;)

  • @CODBUNKER typing in the ip address isn't workin for me...whats the problems?? why is it that everyone's Ip 192 168 and my shit is 10 0 0 2...wtf is that???

  • @SportsNation730 same problem my shit is like that to

  • it works, i got open nat and get into to games quickly

  • does this work for mw2, cause i want to change it to open nat type

  • Ive been looking at this for some time now, i already have an open nat type, but no one can join my partys on cod. If i open all the ports, will people be able to join my party?

  • it doesnt work for me..

  • @MrBaoChan

This might help. DMZ happens to work for me.

    youtube.com/watch?v=cyVMTFhOAdA

  • Thank you so much I got an open NAt now. Your the man.
