That technique you have "sliding the paper as you pull it away" is really cool, and the results are beautiful. I've been brush-painting my forgrounds/trees/ocean waves so far and I'm not happy with my results I'll have to give your technique a try.

Why do you use paper for the mountains instead of magazines? Aren't you afraid that the paper might stick to the painting??

different types of paper give different textures. If u look at some more space paintings u can c that the dryer the paper is, more of a solid texture will come out because it will peel more of the paint off, glossy paper of magazine paper tends to blend more . the paper will only stick if the layer of paint is to dry so that way it will dry to the paper, either peeling paper onto the painting or peeling all the colors of the posterboard. Or he doesn't like to buy magazines.

Its krylon paint. You can get it at Walmart for uh, a little over two bucks I'm pretty sure. I don't really like it because it has a weird tip that makes it spread into a line rather than a dot and shoots a lot for paint so its hard to control. Plus the cheaper paint is like 96 cents and the tip isn't weird.

i live over here in Australia and it seems that all the spraypaints over here have those weird line nozzles. i really wish i could find some with the circular tips, especially if they r cheap!

If you have a walmart near you then you could buy rustoleum spray paint just make sure to buy the gloss protective enamel and it should be good.

it isn't too hard to do, this person has obviously had a lot of practice, but i can do some pretty good ones. u just need some paints, glossy posterboard, paper and some lids and u'll find u can make some good stuff with some practice.

pretty cool either way. all of my art is impulse, yet i don't crank them out in 10 minutes, mine are oil, and it takes alot longer for me to flow ideas onto the canvas to create the finished results. good work!
