I am so happy to have found this! This was a song I loved as a child. I barely recall the movie, but I loved the song so much that I bought the LP single with my pocket money. I can remember playing it all the time and driving my parents nuts ... but sadly I lost the record, along with many others, in a house fire last year :( Thanks for posting this :)

Wondertful song from an incredible movie: ROAR 1981....can't understand why this movie died at the box office. I have this soundtrack on vinyl but it is impossible to get a copy of the movie....

At last I can play the whole song for my kids. Have sung the 'whose land is this ...' part since they were babies now 14 and 11. Treasured the LP and will buy the CD now I know it's available. Thank you so much. Have never forgotten the song White Gold either. So powerful and evocative. My Roar soundtrack album was the ONLY one of my records that met with my father's approval. He taped it on the sly. haha Thanks again from Australia.

My sincerest thanks, Shyjak. It's gratifying to know that the song has had that kind of positive affect on many hearts around the world. I visited New Zealand at the time (as Robert Hawk) on a promotional tour for "Roar" and fell in love with your country and people. It is a goal of mine to someday return.

The photos were taken during several video shoots for songs I did for and in the film "Roar". I was living for a year on a game preserve in the high desert of southern California amongst scores of VERY wild animals. Scary but memorable!
