  • I have been reading this in school. I couldnt get it at first but then i understood. it was alittle inappropriate though like what tatah did. This reminds me alittle bit of the movie to kill a mockin bird. I actually have a test on this book. So much to remeber in this book. But i hope i do good. I wish my school wouldnt let us keep reading depressing books unstead of drama or horror or even mystery. I wish my school would not be so strict. Thanks for this show.

  • i have read this book and its amazing, it is a very inspiring story,

where i grew up once you entered high school you were to read 6 books per year then write a 1 page summary about each book, they did to promote reading

    Reading Rocks!!!

  • I agree, it is amazing this isn't a movie yet.

  • They should make it a movie; it would be a very good drama movie!

  • hey im doing a project on the color of water and do you know where i can find that picture of him with his siblings when they were little?

  • I loved this book because I live right in that neighborhood and I know the streets he's talking about. THE ROCK IS REAL!! It's so cool to relate to it. It's a really good book

  • i loved it, i laughed when James's older brother lied and told him he was "adopted and that his real mother was in jail"! And when he wanted to work in a "turd factory" because he actually didn't know what a turd was...lol

  • Awesome interpretation

  • Oh, okay! If you're doing a research paper, you should go to Sparknotes(dot)com

When you get there, just type "The Color of Water" and there will be a very very helpful overview/summary of the novel. ^_^!
