a few days of salt and tarp covering salty carpets, and maybe today to have less fleas; gonna be a horror when i vacume up the pounds and pounds of salt i soaked the carpets in; will probably ruin the vacume motor.
glad for cold weather; it's 41 degrees right now; the common cold killed martians in WAR OF THE WORLDS; cold weather at least slows down fleas.

@PestFloridaControl somewhere else on youtube somebody says d earth dust is toxic to breath---don't use. And i tried borax a month ago, sloppily vacumed it up, got it on me and needed a steroid shot from the bad rash i got from it.

So do i understand that i can dissolve salt in warm water and then put it in a spray bottle and then spray it directly on my puppy? He is a Maltese and he's 7 months old. I am desperate, he has fleas so bad, and i am terrified to put chemicals on him :( My poor baby....please help!!
that's brutal- salt crystals rubbing against your body causing lesions and then bleeding to death and having all your fluids absorbed by the salt. whatev, DIE FLEAS!!
@shirleysw21 Yes. Make sure you do it several times, and wash rugs and linen too. Sprinkle salt on carpet and floors. I spent $300.00 on my German Shepard in the 1980's to get rid of fleas- foggers and chemicals. Not one worked. Salt works, but you must keep it up until they die.
I would estimate over 50% of the salt will filter through the carpet and settle on the padding underneath. Then the salt will deteriorate the backing of the carpet. Then it's time to replace the carpet. Fleas are gone.:-)
does not work i tried this however i used water and toothpaste finly mixed and droped it in a jar the i captured a flea and when it touch it died almost instantly

OMG! Salt all over the carpet? Why not simply place a dish full of salt underneath the couch (where the animals, children. foot traffic) won't disturb it or accidentally knock it over? That's what I use and it works just fine. Better yet, put Advantage on your animals and that will take care of the problem better.

Dissolve the salt into water, then spray it on the sofa and carpets. Then vacuum to get rid of the dead fleas. Done ;)

@shirleysw21 Use warm water and dissolve the salt, when it is dissolved then spread it all over your cat. Do it a few times until they die.
