As a brit whith polish family, im going to keep out of that debate. OFP 2 hardcore eh? Does this mean they are going to start making roads out of marshmellow. Use flumps for crash barriers. The game was put on a very high pedestal, so high, its still falling. Come spring, OFP2 will be a rather unpleasant memory. But, oh yes, we will remember who released the game. When I cracked open the box for this game and played the first level, I absolutely hated nearly everything about the game. However, after playing 3/4 through this title, it is my favorite shooter. Don't expect Call of Duty, expect highly tactical and long range warfare. This isn't a kid's shooter.

Was it really made that good by Codemasters? Granted it has matured a lot over the years but even the vanilla Flashpoint with its bugs was still better than Flashpoint 2.

OFP 2 is Arcade they will fall short of the Flashpoint from way back when that is still king today, ARMA 1 and 2 both failed to take down the old king in terms of gameplay and now it is OFP 2's turn.

They have the name in order, but I wonder if the rest of the formula is there.

Making the game top the original is going to be insanely difficult, just a better graphics engine won't cut it.

OFP2 is taking the same leap as ArmA 2 with the consoles, so if this is dumbed down, so is ArmA. Deal with it, majority rules, and thats the consoles. For Codemasters and BIS, you have to go to where the money will be.

At first I couldn't help but feel skeptical about Operation Flashpoint 2 because it isn't developed by the original crew.. Now I'm damn glad about Codemasters bringing competition to ArmA. I like both Codemasters and Bohemia. It's kinda sad they aren't together anymore but this could be for the best. Go OFP2 !!!

Each game will gave their own limits to realism. OFP2 is probably going to come out on top as far as realism with movement, weapons and vehicles. I also believe that they will have many stressful, long, planned or not planned out battles. I will really enjoy OFP2. Arma 2, at the cost of graphics, has a larger variety with the weapons and vehicles and sometimes the movement based on environment since it can be more urban. I prefer OFP2, its all based on the gaming community and what they like.
