patrick swayze was one of the greatest ever....I MISS HIM SO MUCH.....MY FAV of hm all-time...i have the whole series dvd, even part 3.....I was upset, when part 3, they killed off orry....but he said he didn't want to do it anymore.....I was young when this first came out, and now 38, and still remember it like it was yesterday.....
I wish life could be this romantic.......but R.I.P PATRICK......GREAT MOVIE
Wow. Here's Patrick Swayze, in the prime of life. He looks so healthy and strong it makes me sad to think of what happened to him later on. He is definitely missed! Not only was he a good actor, but in every interview I've ever seen him in he always struck me as being a really nice man.
The actor - Casnoff - did such a great job of playing this character. He was so good that it was impossible NOT to hate Bent. Bent was just ... deranged, power-hungry, and greedy. The acting was awesome. I couldn't stand Ashton. Or Virginia.
The character "Cadet Fisk" is the same "Major Fisk" that spares Orry Main's Mount Royal from being torched during Sherman's march through South Carolina in North and South, Book II.
I was so sorry to hear about Orry Maine (Patrick Swayze) - his acting made me so happy and although Bent was meant to be evil I know the actor Phil Cassnoff was sad too. Enjoy God's house Patrick!
Philip Casnov didn't age. i wondered how Bent went from the two decades between the mexican war and the first civil war without aging a second. the years were kinder to Phil than to Pat. my sister was hot for both of their bodies.
One of Patrick Swayze's finest roles. Doesn't he look the part wielding a sword; precision, balance, a still head and strength. There's still no mini-series that has rivalled this one.
Hi bprest1! No, unfortunately I never watched "Strong Medicine", but I watching "OZ", just to see him...I think he is more beautiful now that he is older! I don't know why but, my prefered actors (Nat Parker, Alan Rickman and Philip Casnoff)never had "big enough parts"... but who knows some day??
I think that's the case with a number of N&S actors. I love him as Sinatra, too. I don't think it's on DVD. I found it in a two set VHS package on eBay or maybe through Amazon. I wish I'd seen him as Lafayette in "George Washington."
the "sorry" soldier at the beginning Andy Stahl is a very good friend of mine, he's in my video on my channel Knights Inn Reunion. He also plays the bass left handed. Reg.
such a beautiful story
thanks for the upload, this made my day :)

Orry kicked Bent's ass, Bent wasn't ready for Orry knowing how to handle a sword. KICK HIS ASS ORRY!

Did you ever catch him on Strong Medicine? He looked practically the same; they just never gave him a big enough part.

Hi bprest1! How you? Sorry my ignorance but, "George Washington" is a movie? I love Philip, but unfortunately I don't know all his jobs... :'(
Kisses dear.

I'm hoping someone would submit to youtube the scene where Bent murders Constance. It's in the Heaven and Hell tv installation.

Good choreography. Probably came easy for Patrick considering he was a trained dancer.
