  • The Apostle Paul told Timothy, " Endure hardship, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ."

2 Cor. 10, " though we walk in the flesh, we do (not) war in the flesh, for the (weapons) of our

warefare are not carnal. but mighty in God, for the pulling down of strongholds." Ephesians 6:" for we (wrestle not) aga inst flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of (this) world, spiritual wickedness in high places. Put on the armor of GOD".

  • nooooooooo, please, this is such an anointed marching Song from the Salvation Army.......I was kind of born with this Song...the original one. So as much I love Petra.. I cant quite get warm to this version

  • Ephesians 6:10 Finally,be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.

  • I agree, it's the best version for this song.

  • I agree the best version of this song.

  • This song kicks ass!!

  • @surferdave79 Please don't swear. It isn't Christ-like.

  • @ExileTherin i second that

  • This is awesome. 80's rock music for Jesus.

  • Great Hymn! Thanks Be To God! :)

  • this is the best vrsion of this song:-)

  • oh my god..good song i remember this from when it came out..

  • + Victory To Christ's Holy Crusade! :)

  • over 1 million innocent dead? and you call it christs crusade? you call it holy? forgetting that christ said love your neighbour as yourself!, people like you are the children of satan, not christ, be careful who you claim as your father.

  • The Crusades during the middle ages were an abomination, and I don't think any Bible-believing Christian can condone the crusades nowadays.

The context of the song, however, is referring to the battle that Christ's people face against the forces of evil (temptation, etc), and looking forward to the day when Christ will once-and-for-all cast Satan out along with those who don't serve God.

  • sorry brother I will pray for you because God is very real and jesus christ died on the cross for all of our sins God bless you!!!

  • whoops sorry i misread your comment sorry brother lol

  • They were an example of corrupt leaders using Christ's name as an excuse for their own evils. People like them are the enemies of God.

  • Exactly!

  • @Booshman Muslims provoked the Crusades by killing Christian pilgrims, etc. and the Christians fought back. However, I do agree with your description of the song.:)

  • @Booshman

Hi there, funny thing about the Crusades... the Christians from Egypt had already "saved" Jerusalem from the Muslims by the time the Europeans arrived on the scene anyway. I agree it is a sad part of the history of Christianity. Have you seen the "Season of the Witch" with Nick Cage? It gives some more perspective on this. It must have been an interesting time 1300-1400AD.

  • @IRENIGMA888 Just sayin', i think your missing the point. I'm not going to get into a debate, but the sad truth is, only a select few will get into heaven, the others, will not. They will hear the Word, but because of their decision to not accept the Lord as their savior they won't get into heaven.

Maybe innocents pertains to those people? If that is the case, then it is not our fault, we loved them, and we tried to show them the way, but they chose not to believe it. So yes, Victory to God.

  • Blind people leading blind people doesn't work.

  • This is the best version of that old hymn this old christian has ever heard!

  • Thanks for posting this with the lyrics. I've never heard this version, it sure is different from what I grew up with. I think I like both versions. :-)

  • Sarpadoooo en bueno!!! se sarpan estos chabones!

  • Excellent. I also found this song released on a compilation CD called "Still Means War", which I added to my Amazon wish list. :)

Again, thank you for opening my ears to new Petra songs that I was unaware of!

  • Yes, you can also find this song in the "Still Menas War" compilation. I rather present the track in the original proyect, track barely know through the years until that recopilation appears. And welcome, and thakns God for this ministry.

  • Yes, the album is "Our Hymns", 1989. StarSong.

  • Absolutely awesome!!!!! You are revealing some unknown gems from my favorite band (secular and Christian) of all time!!!! I guess the CD to find this song is "Our Hymns"?
