  • Who can talk about Westerns better then Eastwood?! NOBODY!!!!!!!!!

  • Wishing You a Happy Healthy Long Life!

  • clints the greatest man

  • one thing that also makes a film good is, according to me, great music. That's why I love the Dollars Trilogy.

  • I sure hope that isn't his explanation for casting Sandra Locke in all those movies.

(did a check on her career, first movie got her the Oscar. Who knew)

  • I'm pretty sure AFI made a list of the top 10 Westerns. I think either Shane or Searchers was number 1 and Good Bad & Ugly wasn't on the list.

Which is way we should disregard anything they say

  • That video inspire me to make a western script.

  • While taking a break from digging, Tuco disliked this video.

  • He is just so cool

  • Clint Eastwood is soo bad ass that he doesn't even need a name that is how bad ass he is.

  • There are two kinds of people in this world. Those with a gun, and those who dig.

  • @VincentPrice111 You dig!

  • For my money, "The Outlaw Josey Wales" is best.

  • @aoxomoxoa88 I've watched them all many times, but yes your right about Josey Wales!

  • Clint Eastwood talking about Westerns? What does HE know?

  • When Clint Eastwood dies, he will not go into Death's arms. Instead, Death will retire, and hand his book, scythe, and cloak to Clint. Because what comfort can man hope for, but that of The Man With No Name.

  • @GrimReaper19 The fact that your username is Grim Reaper makes you comment all the more perfect.

  • Just a hunch..but i bet more men in 20 years will watch old Eastwood movies than DiCaprio flicks..ahhh and I will be vindicated..

  • The only thing that can destroy Chuck Norris is the smoke from Clint Eastwoods cigars.

  • Clint is spot on regarding casting.....we had Eastwood/Norris/Stallone...now you have Damon/Depp/Dicaprio for action movies.

  • @tillman40

DiCaprio is actually a pretty decent actor. He fails in comparison to Clint Eastwood, but it's a shame you even think of putting Stallone next to him and Norris. Stallone is good, epic in one genre: action, whereas Clint Eastwood has shown himself to be able to handle anything from westerns to drama, from sci-fi to comedy. Norris has yet to do a decent job acting in any movie. He's an overhyped ass who honestly doesn't even deserve to be mentioned alongside Stallone and Eastwood.

  • @colombiano123able

Eastwood, definately. As far as actual acting goes, you have to admit DiCaprio is better than Stallone. I watch Stallone's movies a lot more, I like him better, but really, come on. We're adults, not fanboy's. Tell it like it is. Stallone is an action movie-boss, not an actor.

Nice ad hominem-attack, by the way, that won you lots of arguments I bet.

  • @colombiano123able

Chuck Norris isn't overhyped? WHat planet are you from? Name one movie or show in which you could possibly compare Norris' acting-job or menace to that of Eastwood or Stallone, seeing you put them in the same list. Please, amuse me.

  • @SSTTEEAALLTTHH

No,DiCaprio is a better actor than Eastwood, but both are great.

  • COME ON!! WE HAVE TO ASK FOR ONE WESTERN MORE PLAYED BY CLINT EASTWOOD AND ELLI WALLACH!

  • the boggie man checks under his bed for chuck norris and chuck norris checks under his bed for clint eastwood and clint eastwood checks under his bed for no one cuz he has a fuckin 44 magnum under his pillow

  • this men is a legend.

for a few dollars more. :D

  • My Hero

  • The good the bad and the ugly makes the wild bunch look like cow shit

  • Clint Eastwood is the father of all awesome.

  • for some reason I don't feel he actually ages he always looks the same apart from less hair etc

  • @crimsondevil2245

no he ages. just 3x slower than the average man. like bruce willis is nearly immune to aging effects.

  • @shishiromura he just gave up his hair in exchange for long life :D

  • All Hail Clint Eastwood--The Greatest Badass of All Time.

    Go, Clint Go!

  • No matter how old he gets he's still whooping ass

  • Anyone else wish he was young enough to do a real Jonah Hex movie. Not that BS with Megan Fox.

  • Unforgiven was awful. I liked his other movies however

  • Clint should make at least one more western while he's still with us,I dont care how old he is I'd go see it.

  • favourtie western for me man THE OUTLAW JOSEY WALES

  • @italianjohnny123 if no one has seen the outlaw josey wales my god man ull love it (clint eastwood director)

  • @italianjohnny123

its my favorite but sergio leones films had way better gun slinging moments. clint owned people in leones films ridiculously. like 1 v 5

  • Clint Eastwood is an excellent actor his films a amazing. Dirty harry films are some of the greatest films ever!

  • I had a 44 magnun for 12 years. bought it after watching Clint Eastwood in Magnum Force / AWSOME THANKS FOR EVERYTHING CLINT. YOU MADE MY DAY !!!

  • Yeah that's very true. I tend to lose half my interest in a movie when the actors look too soft, or like secluded cult member types, or are obviously chosen because they're "cute" or some sh*t and otherwise don't fit the part well.

  • clint is a badass

  • People who claim spaghetti westerns aren't "real" westerns need to learn to appreciate foreign movies. Movies like the Dollars triology and the Big Gundown are just brilliant, and it doesn't bother me one bit that they're filmed in Spain.

  • @Brewchief2002 thanks it's on my list of great westerns to watch

  • unforgiven and josey wales

  • i just watched the good the bad and the ugly other day! and i cant belive i hadnt watched it sooner !!! lol beats most of the modern films and i thought brad pitt was an quality actor but he dosent even come close to clint !!!

  • good the bad and the ugly is the ultimate western, but in terms of revisionist westerns my fav. is the proposition

  • The good the bad and the ugly And A few dollers more

  • Favourite Western has to be Tombstone in my opinion.

  • Clint Eastwood is a god . . . !

  • "The Wild Bunch" & "The Good The Bad & The Ugly"- Simply those two had changed my life...

  • i think eastwood is the greatest cowboy ever!!!...his movies are much better than john waynes!!!!!

  • The Outlaw Josie Wales and Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid. Two of my all time favorites.

  • The Good The Bad The Ugly -no doubt

  • Well, gee, it seems this logic can go with making any kind of film other than westerns, so basically I guess he's right.

  • ok what would be the better actors for western good guy vs bad guy, between tommy lee jones vs thomas jane, or veggo mortensen vs sean penn... or mix and match, all in all what two would you most want to see if there was a new western to be made?

  • clint eastwood in "the good the bad and the ulgy" and henry fonda in "once upon a time in the west"... best westerns ever.

  • the good, the bad and the ugly :3

  • The best western ever made? That's easy " Lonesome Dove", everything about it was the best, script, characters, scenery, casting, and long enough for you to understand the kind of life that the pioneer people of the west had to endure.

  • @179166 Plus in those days thieves were taken to the nearest tree and hung! Where did we go wrong?

  • blondy

  • Once Upon a Time in the West is the best western

  • "White Sun of the Desert"

Points to anyone who gets the joke.

  • Funny how the AFI uses The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly theme here, since that film wasn't made in America and was disqualified from their list of greatest Westerns . . .

  • Best Westerns:

    High Noon

    Shane

    Unforgiven

    The Searchers

Once Upon A Time In The West

    The Naked Spur

    The Ox-Bow Incident

    Johnny Guitar

  • Why not the dollar films? And u also forgot Little Big Man, Trinity, fist full of dynamite. Not sure if the last one is a western :P

  • little Big Man was good, and I generally like Eastwood, but those spaghetti westerns were long, slow moving, and ridiculous.

  • I cannot respect a person who does not like Sergio Leone.

  • @0BatGirl0 A person who doesn't like Leone is already a dead man

  • @thepickle02780 "ong,slow moving,and ridiculous."

    yes you are

  • but they were awesome..cuz they weren't made in america

  • dancing with the wolves

once upon a time in the west

    good, bad & ugly

    outlaw Jossie Wales

    unforgiven

  • Dude you missed out the greatest on that list and perhaps the greatest film of all time..the good the bad and the ugly!

  • Clint you are a great actor.. and I will never forget you in the film the good, the bad and the ugly.. the better classic western that I saw in my life.

  • This week I watched Joe Kidd, Two Mules For Sister Sarah, and The Outlaw Josey Wales. I loved them all. Unforgiven is my favorite movie of all time.

  • not but a few left like him--he's a badass

  • Clint is so right! Bless him! Why don't wannabe filmmakers LISTEN to these guys?!

  • CLASSIC LINES-

Joe Kidd- (Beans in the face. Pot to the head) "You want some?"

Unforgiven-"Well he should have armed himself if he's gonna decorate his saloon with my friend."

High Plains Drifter-"You couldn't possibly mean the church!" "I mean ESPECIALLY the church."

  • Let's not forget the best cop in big screen history ... DIRTY HARRY!!!!

  • I love unforgiven, the outlaw josey wales, fistful of dollars, and high plains drifter, which was one of the first westerns i remember seeing.

  • Hang him high verry good movie and i love clint eastwood his 1.95 im 1.95 i not all theese short littel italinaes running around whit there short litte legs they look like dwarfs there like on 1.70

  • Unforgiven is my favorite.

  • not only the most badass actor ever hes the best western actor ever too!

  • clint eastwood can still kick your ass

  • The outlaw josey wales is my fav.

  • the good the bad and the ugly was my fav.

  • @themoviesboy Have you seen "For a few dollars more"? To me even better movie

  • Rio Bravo is the greatest traditional western of all time. A spaghetti western, and what came after them, isn't quite what people mean when they say "western."

  • Maybe not where you live.

The good, the bad and the ugly is the best western ever for me bytheway.

  • best american western movie was made by italians...hahah..shame on you J.Wayne's fans

  • i say Tombstone is the best western, imo.

  • Clint Eastwood is a legend no doubt, but those were some useless tips. THose are basic standards for all movies. I thought he was gonna be like talking about camera angles, not too violent but not too soft either, gritty dialogue, multiple ethnic groups etc. etc.

  • I wish Clint would make at least one more western while he's still around.

  • yea that would be effin awesome

  • westerns FTW

    Clint is a legend

  • The Good The Bad And The Ugly and The Searchers are the best westerns

  • once upon a time in the west greatest western ever followed closely by good bad and ugly

  • One of the best newer westerns I've seen is The Long Riders; with the Carradine and Quaid brothers playing the James-Younger gang. The knife fight between Cole Younger (David Carradine) and ___? Starr is classic. Also, though made for TV, Lonesome Dove with Robert Duvall and Tommy Lee Jones is a GREAT western. Great book too! After 930 pages, you still hate to see it end.

  • The Good The Bad The Ugly = Greatest Motion Picture of all time.

  • The Good, The bad and the ugly is THE BEST!!!! I've seen it over 30 times!!

  • There are two kinds of people in this world. Those who watch Good Bad and the Ugly and those who don't

  • Indeed.

  • agreed

  • @roquefortfiles

"There are two kinds of spurs my friend...."

  • @roquefortfiles and we all know what happens to those who dont, they end up just like Angel Eyes (The Bad)

  • Clint eastwood is the ultimate badass of all time ever. Chuck norris is gay compared to him.

  • @ForgeOfIntelligence

Damn straight! Clint and John Wayne are the greatest!

  • @ForgeOfIntelligence

    true tue

  • @ForgeOfIntelligence ppl that claim to think chuck norris have an underlying tone of mocking him because he just looks too pussy to be badass. clint eastwood genuinely played badass parts

  • @ForgeOfIntelligence Whoa whoa whoa...

  • @ForgeOfIntelligence Only in his movies but not in reality.

  • @ForgeOfIntelligence Please, son, please!

  • RED RIVER

  • The Good The Bad And The Ugly The Searchers The Wild Bunch Rio Bravo Stagecoach The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance Once Upon A Time In The West Will Penny Blazing Saddles The Shootist Winchester 73 I'm not really into modern westerns except for Unforgiven
  • ...

    Dude...dude...dude....Tombstone...

    TOOOOOOOOOOOOMBSTONEEEEEEEEE!

  • No no no no no,

Sorry but my all time favorite

    western film on the

    Earp/Clanton shootout is John Ford's

    My Darling Clementine.

  • 3.10 to Yuma (remake) was especially good, I thought.

  • It's a good film, I'm not sure I'd list it as one of the all time greats, But I'd take it over Dances With Wolves in an instant.

  • that is why hollywood offers the best cinema in the world

  • Not anymore it dont, not with the romance/comedy genre and/or comedys you see coming out of hollywood.

The golden age is long passed dude ;)

  • Please View and review my films.

  • Django is definitely in my top ten

  • Rio Bravo; The Magnificent Seven... Any love out there for Silverado? I like westerns because, even when I was a (horrible) teenager, it was something my Dad and I could talk about. Now he's gone, they help me to remember him.

  • I dont really like Western films, but The good, the bad and the ugly is fucking awesome

  • You're studying at the feet of the MASTER, grasshopper.

  • Anything with Eastwood and Van Cleef,

For a Few Dollars More one of the best imo

  • Sanjuro!! ;) FTW

  • my favourite western is "The Outlaw Josey Wales". Its a fucking classic.

  • High Plains Drifter. By far.

  • my 2 favorite westerns are, The Good, the Bad, and the ugly, and Butch Cassidy and Sundance kid. i haven't seen many westerns . anyone recommend any?

  • UNFORGIVEN....EASTWOOD.....DONE!

  • 0826jesse: There's so many, but here's my little list: Joe Kidd Pale Rider Cheyenne Autumn 3:10 to Yuma (the 1957 or 2007 versions, both are good) High Plains Drifter Once Upon A Time In The West High Noon Hud The Wild Bunch Shane Ride the High Country Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid The precursors to The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly are A Fistful of Dollars and For A Few Dollars More, you might wanna check em out too! I've watched some (but not ALL) of these. Hope this helps!
  • Well, these others that were mentioned are all great later westerns, stylish and violent. But you oughta see some of the original classics as well, and for that you need to look at John Ford. His best westerns are The Searchers, Stagecoach, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, My Darling Clementine, and Fort Apache, all with John Wayne. Howard Hawks also directed a couple great Westerns with Wayne: Red River and Rio Bravo.

  • Anything with Clint Eastwood, Lee Van Cleef or John Wayne is classic in my opinion :)

  • anyone see his new film, gran torino? its pretty good.

  • I think it's funny how some of Clint Eastwood's best work was inspired by Samurai films, which were in turn inspired by earlier spaghetti westerns.

  • Actually some of the best Italian westerns were inspired by Samurai films. And some of those were inspired from American Westerns, Kurosawa is a good example of this.

  • The original 3:10 to Yuma!

  • Ta bieeeeen vieeja clint

  • Sergio Leone redefined the westerns, it was called the spaghetti western or Italo-Western in europe. Most of them shot in the outbacks of spain. Such great classics this man had done

  • And a little known fact (though you might) Richard Harrison was the first ever actor to be in one of the popular westerns of the early 60s 1960 to 1964, and actually turned down the role of "The Man With No Name", and gave the Sergio Leone the name Clinton Eastwood.

  • Will Clint ever make another western ever again, at least before he retires??? I think he should, them spaghetti westerns made him what he is today, they made him CLINT EASTWOOD!!! so maybe 1 more "Man with No Name" flick would be great. Maybe it could be his last movie ever........

  • He's already retired.

  • Unforgiven. Certainly.

  • you fail.

  • Westerns are as good as war movies

  • What;s ur nationality?

what type of movies do u like?

  • Modern movies.

  • STFU retard, modern movies, that shit is crap, westerns are classic.

  • OK fine if you feel that way, why do u have to constantly spam and tell how much u hate them, it doesn't make sense. Go bother somone else.

  • you're probably singing along to high school musical 7 right now....

  • I agree with all of you, The Good, The Bad & The Ugly. But there is another Leone masterpiece Once Upon A Time In The West.

  • ah yes ennio morricone clasic

  • a final clint eastwood western movie wud be amazing

  • when he talks about great casting, you can't help but think about Eli Wallach as Tuco in the Good, Bad, and the Ugly. Perfect casting.

  • Among the best Westerns is definitely Once Upon a Time in the West.

  • The Good, The Bad and The Ugly has to be one of the greatest westerns I have ever seen. Along with Unforgiven. I mean where Tuco runs through the cemetery, you cant compete with that. WHO CAN?

  • Don't forget about the music."the ecstasy of gold".

  • the good, the bad, and the ugly is the best western of all time. it doesn't get better than that!

  • Amen!

  • The Good, the Bad and the Ugly is UNTOUCHABLE! it is by far the most influencial among the westerns. and the duel at the end was just epic. Greatly shot, Greatly Edited, Great Scored. what an amazing movie

  • How teh crap did AFI leave The Good, the Bad and the Ugly off the all time top 10 greatest westerns list? Dumbass voters.
