I love this song so much because this was my Exact childhood. Every night I dreamed of Neverland and Peter pan, and once I old my mom that if I wasn't in bed I was out flying to Neverland with Peter. :) but then you start to grow up and Tinkerbell who I absolutely loved and adored started to just become another Disney character. But now when I listen to this I remember those days, an again I'm dreaming of Peter taking my hand an us flying away. :)

Maleficent is actually very close to how fairies were originally depicted. Pixies didn't show up in literature until the Victorian Era, when peter Pan was

@AlyRenae92 written and are actually similar to elves they are depicted as little creatures with elf like ears and "scantily" clad lol. So Tink is a pixie but overtime people started calling her a fairy lol. Cindy's godmother, the Blue Fairy from Pinocchio, Flora, Fauna, Merrywether and even Maleficent are all examples of fairies. My school did Peter Pan as a play recently but the actors weren't very good...I'm a pretty good singer, easily better than our Wendy and Peter Pan and could've played either one of them, but I get soooo stage fright!!! :( Although I would almost certainly audition for Finding Neverland if they ever did it....I really love that movie, and if it were turned into something one could use in the theatre I would totally go for it!

Scott Alan who wrote the song and lyrics told me that he wrote it this way because the character is trying to remember the story and says "second to the left and straight on 'til morning, or was it second to the right?" He knows, as does everyone, that it was second to the right in the original story. In the original, Peter just makes up the location of his home saying "second star to the right" because Wendy made him feel bad because he doesn't have an address for his home.
