This is what i was looking for !!! I was 15 when i had this album call'd ''strange things''ohh what a guitar sound..imagine this in high voltage then the world is yours !
It's not fake. It's from album of the same name (Good Times) released in 1993, label: Mirror Music. That's all I could find. But I can assure you it's Jimi playing guitar there.
@420GuitarShredder watch jimi hendrix: the uncut story.. even his brother says he took a shit load of acid.. jimi used to soak his headband in the stuff :)
@snafutube Have you ever checked out Jimi, when he was playing with the Isley Brothers. They started out as a Blues Band, and used alot of the echo sound in their works.
@12Daniel7 yeah, i've heard plenty from that time before he made it big, but it still always has his unmistakeable stamp .... i don't think this does, nothng about this speaks Jimi to me, maybe he was really off his nut or something!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! I haven't heard this song in YEARS! Didn't know the name only that if came off a bootleg Hendrix album I had back in the day!
@blast4music : I suppose you do? I've been listening to Hendrix since I was a child. Even Hendrix doesn't sound like himself at times. If this is an EARLY version of his playing, then it stands to reason why some would say that it doesn't sound like him (traditionally); I stress IF this is an Early version of HIS playing. There have been many "lost recordings" that claimed to be him...but were not. CALM DOWN. There's no need to demean anyone who doesn't think it's him. Relax.

It actually Mike Bloomfield. Ed Chalpin duped him into lay down some tracks for a so called demo, mixed into these old tracks and sold it as early Hendrix.
walkingdead7 said: I remember this song from a bootleg vinyl record i bought around 1977 at Montgomery Wards.I was 16 years old and just discovering Jimi's music at that time.I didnt like this record at first but eventually this grew on me.
NOT ME. I still dislike it! Early Hendrix albums were rip-off albums designed to cash-in on Hendrix posthumously! All this early material is good for is for Hendrix historians and fans trying to follow his musical progression leading up to the JHE.
I remember being supremely disappointed after purchasing more than one of these Ed Chalpin (I believe) Hendrix albums (back in the early 1970s) replete with deceiving album cover (to sucker you into buying the album!) of Hendrix during his Jimi Hendrix Experience daze. But what should I expect from a Jew (Chalpin)? Honesty??
Look for the album moods - jimi hendrix for more of this stuff i am not sure if it really is actually early recordings of his i got the album in the 80's when they were scraping the barrel with releasing everything and anything with his name attached.

Remember the Hendrix vinyle released in the early seventies from his earlier playing called Moods? I cannot find anything on, "the Tubes" from that album. I still have the 8 track with no way to listen to it. I'll have to get the vinyle and find someone with an LP player to transfer. The whole album was excellent.

I brani falsi sono: Good times, suspicious, voice in the wind, free spirit ed altri 100 brani circa! Ciao.
Wait a minute. This is a song called "Bring My Baby Back". I know this because I have the vinyl that includes this song, and this isn't "Good Times". I'm not trying to argue on this or anything, but its called "Bring My Baby Back" on my copy.
@dissent88 i don t want to argue to... but i heard this "Bring My Baby Back" searching on youtube, and i found a song that on my old audio cassette is called : "Hot Trigger" (instrumental song)!
so i dunno.. maybe there are some mistakes about the original names of those rare songs. I mean also my copies cya happy 2010
@dissent88 If you haven't figured it out by now a lot of Jimi's music has all kinds of titles that were assigned to his songs based on who was publishing his music at that time. Not everybody was concerned with the correctness of the titles.I've read a bunch of comments parsing back and forth about what was this songs title or what it was called on my album jacket...it should become obvious to you that a lot of people cashed in upon his passing.Their major concern was money not song titles.
@dissent88: You know something....I have an original copy of "Rare Hendrix" on the Trip label and the songs listed on side two are out of order! That's what's confusing you. The first song on side two is "Suspicious," then "Good Times," and THEN it's "Bring My Baby Back." Why someone at the label didn't see that and correct it I don't know.
there's actually no evidence that song and other ones are from a session with Curtis Knight. More, that sounds latter studio recording stuff-not sure how much genuine- much stuff was re-arranged and recorded with sessionmen after Jimi's death, often by deleting original tracks. If you want to listen Jimi with Curtis listen LP "Get that feeling" that was unfairly released in 1968 an reviewed (he was pissed at it) by Hendrix himself.
Strange ANDVERY VERY VERY DANGER SONG REALLY IT's DANGER SONG YOU CAN DIAPPEAR WITH THIS IF YOU DON'T ATTENTIVE AND CAREFULL ......ATTENTION .......CARE IT'S DANGER .................THIS IS JIMI HENDRIX I SAD THAT BECAUSE WHEN I LISTNED THIS ONE FIRST TIME IT 'WAS VERY STRANGE AND DANGER SOUND AND DANGER WORLD SOUVENIR SOUVENIR AYAIE YAIE OW NOOOOOO HENDRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIX
DIEU SEUL SAIT COMBIEN DE FOIT j'ai ecouter ses chanson hendrixienne au MAROC DANS LA VALLE DE ESSAOUIRA A LA HENDRIXIENNE CA VEUT DIRE JIMI HENDRIX ET LA NATURE ET PUIS RIEN AU MONDE AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANO NO
This is Jimi. His sessions from 64-66 with King Curtis, Lonnie Youngblood, and many other soul aritists, are well documented. These songs were released before Jimi was even famous. Also he's not using cheap EQ. It's probably a Strat into a Fender Twin or Super. The Fuzz Face pedal and Marshall Plexi stack amp weren't made until '66. And Lonnie Youngblood wasn't going to allow him to play that kind of stuff anyway. A session gutairists has to play something the producers wants to hear.
More research uncovers this is not one of the 13 tracks recorded in 1964. This means if they are indeed Lonnie Youngblood on vocals, then they were recorded in jam sessions at the Record Plant in New York in 1968. A lot of these releases were doctored or had other musicians overdub parts after Jimi's death. And most were released as Jimi Hendrix and only recently corrected to include the fact Youngblood sang and claims to have written the material as well.
@mwindle1973 This song was not released before he was famous, it's obviously 70s, he's not even playing on it. Lonnie Youngblood has f''all to do with it either. As for all your techn

Wait a minute. This is a song called "Bring My Baby Back". I know this because I have the vinyl that includes this song, and this isn't "Good Times". I'm not trying to argue on this or anything, but its called "Bring My Baby Back" on my copy.
dissent88 2 years ago
The songs on Side 2 of Rare Hendrix are listed out of order on many copies including mine. That could be the explanation.

I have the record to...

I LOVE This whole record...rare Jimmy...

@PBGSURFER65 Yeah i have figured it out now, but thanks anyways. Yeah my vinyl copy labels it differently.

And most were released as Jimi Hendrix and only recently corrected to include the fact Youngblood sang and claims to have written the material as well.
mwindle1973 2 years ago
@mwindle1973 This song was not released before he was famous, it's obviously 70s, he's not even playing on it. Lonnie Youngblood has f''all to do with it either. As for all your techn
