Sounds Like we have someone that will do what we hire him to do instead of what they think is best for us because we obviously have no clue I have a real problem with Lindsey he said one thing to get the job and then went did as he pleased I believe its time for a change and I will vote for Tim and let see what he can do

What does Mr Carnes refer to as attempts to secularize our nation? I say the reverse has occurred. The first amendment states that government doesn't respect nor prohibit any religious establishment, that is, our government is secular by design. The US has been in the process of desecularizing, filling our government with those who support "family values". Carnes, I respect your religious beliefs, however, our nation needs leaders who will leave those beliefs at home while governing our nation.

Thank you for your comment but your premise that to be an effective leader one must abandon their convictions is incorrect. My convictions form the basis of who I am and what I believe. To have strong convictions does not make a citizen ill equipped to lead, I contend it makes them better equipped to lead. I intend to represent all the people of SC from the basis of who I am & what I believe. I will remain firmly committed to my principles because to do anything else would be meaningless.TCarnes

Apparently you are not familiar with the founding documents of our country in which God is recognized and his divinity reverenced. It is because of beliefs that we are were we are today. Someone believed that God made man free, therefore they fought for our Independence. There were those who believed all men were created equal therefore they fought to change slavery and to give women rights. A leader cannot lead without a belief system.

I'm interested in hearing the dialogue between Carnes and Graham -- this confrontation is a good thing - it will call Graham to some accountability if nothing else. Lindsey has been seduced by D.C.
