  • I know it's just a story but she wouldn't get away with that now not even back then for that matter!

  • i lernad this at school!!

  • Looked much more like Leg of Turkey. That leg is microscopic. The lamb must have been the absolute RUNT of the litter (not sure what word to use there).

I DO love how she unwraps it first. I've never seen that choice before. That's pretty funny! 8-D

I found the pace a bit too slow and there were too many silences, but otherwise I liked it. It shows that an effort was made, and benefited from that effort. The attention to detail as well as time-and-place were SUPERB.

    Nice job!

  • OMG, simply amazinggggggg :DDDDDDDDD

  • In my english class we read the story and watched this (:

But I'm confused at what Patrick told Mary before she killed him ...

  • @TheLIGHTSFREAK theres another version they made for this in the 1950s, and in that version patrick tells mary that hes gonna divorce her.....

  • "i think its right here under our noses" why yes mister officer, you are eating the murder weapon :) thats the perfect crime!! read this in english this week! i loved it cause of the dramatic and situational irony!....great video...it was very well made!

  • that was the smallest leg of lamb ever!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • if u think about it it kinda of a wierd story

  • shit!

  • As in the original story, he never SAYS, "I'm leaving you for another woman", not in those words. I agree it's the most likely scenario, but he never SAYS those words. That must have been deliberate on Dahl's part.

  • I had to watch this again. every aspect of this production is fantastic.

  • This a great. . . . great futures for everyone involve with the production.

  • cool [=

  • Wasnt she pregnant in the story? Me and like soo many others is reading the story ;)

  • we read this in school today! the teacher spoke to us as iff we wouldnt know who Roald Dahl was

  • I had to read this for school, and write a review. I enjoyed much more than i should've.

  • I fink the actor for patrick was a bit poor but this was quite good

  • Omg! I read a short story of this in class a few days ago!

  • Same

  • sameee! i did too

  • were reading diz aughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • well done, this was quite nice; excpet it would`ve been better if you`d added that last line when that officer jack says "i think its right unde our noses and we cant find it" or something like that i dont remember the line exactly. But anyways, overall it was very nice.

  • I remember this from HIgh School English TRICKY WOMAN> I didn't know till recently T Hat the same man who wrote Charlie and the chocolate factory Wrote this What Range! Is this a 1950's film or Recent?

  • Sweet. I read the story by Roald Dahl and was anxious to see a movie/show about it!

  • this video is in our high school book..- -

  • he wasn't that nice in the beginning his answers were quick and didn't much stare at her as he did. Also she goes down to the basement to get the leg of lamb.NOT the kitchen.YOU SHOULD have stalled a little before hitting him because that's how it went in the story.NOT THAT IT WASN'T AWESOME VIDEO BUT just had a few mistakes overall nice video

    -NBA

  • Gaaaahhh... The way it ends, it looks like Jack figured it out. :o

He wasn't eating and he kept glancing down at the lamb.

    Not making me happy. =/

  • AND jack was suppose to say: it might be right under our noses.

  • no, i don't think so. another character says that, then asks, "What do you think, jack?" but Jack doesn't respond

  • WTF. She's supposed to be pregnant.

    Nice narrating, by the way.

  • lmao my english class watched this today it was halarious

  • Awesome! I love Roald Dahl and this was well played. I think he'd be proud!

  • Nice work everyone. Just one thought- you might have tightened it up a little, a couple of the scenes were a little slow. Don't want to lose the audiences interest. But you pulled it off and I enjoyed the ending- (& nice work Tim!)

  • Nice work on this! I have an exam on this on tuesday and this helps alot. The scenes were well played. =3

  • SQUELCH! SPLAT! at 6:09 funny stuff love the music too

  • i am so hungry right now

  • Ah! Tomorrow is my literature examination and ithink that this will surely help in it. THANK YOU so much for uploading this video

  • I love this story!

But I have to do a stupid Newspaper report about the murder AND it has to be ironic (because the newspaper's murderers don't know who the real murder is) but I think I'm going to do great now.

    Thanx for uploading.

  • YOU GO MS. SAIN!!!!!!!

    Amazing award worthy performance!

  • i thought that it was nice :)

  • gosh i wish i would have seen this earlier for my book report lol :)

  • nah

this is almost very identical to the original story. Although the acting is kinda poor its very good representation

  • Its a nice adaptation. Couple of points, the camera during the scene where the husband tells her he is leaving her, moves up and down. Not a good look, a reverse shot would of made the difference. Acting was poor on the part of the more minor parts, but all in all, a well made production, with attention to detail being paramount. Well done!

  • Yeah, I totally agree with the points about the shots in the living room. Thanks for checking it out!

  • i totally agree!

  • just finished watching, and just finished my homework XD Thanks

  • Ok I did get credit in the movie description. I take it back. ;>

    Peace,

    Larry

  • I wish that I would have gotten the camera credit that I deserved. Yes, that's right I did the cinematography for many parts of the movie not just gaffer and sound. I also aided in the special effects. But since this was one of our first projects together I'll let it ride. Just let it ride. PS Why did you guys not tell me it was on Youtube?

    Best Wishes,

    Larry

  • saw this yesterday in 2nd pd

  • the acting could of been better. i thought sam did a good job though. it was ok

  • theres a line missing, which is meant to be the closing, "Its probably right under our noses" then she giggles.

  • it's not misssing... the line is there...

    anyway, great movie!

    it helped me a lot

i'm french, and I have to do a oral prensentation in my english class about that story... thanks, now i understand it :D

  • Very well done, this is one of my most favourite stories by Roald Dhal. Is she playing pregnant in the film clip, cause Mary was 6 months pregnant. I am going to be playing Mary in a stage play.

  • i think a slightly larger bit of lamb would be better! brilliant none the less!

  • Pretty good.

    Certain aspects weren't right.

Certain actors were a little off.

But still good none the less.

  • hahaha im styll laughing at the fact that u can die from a lamb chop!!

  • a FROZEN lamb chop!

  • oh ya...maybe unconciousness...but death..well i dunno maybe...

  • Wacking someone on the head with a frozen leg of lamb is about the same as hitting someone with a solid metal bat.

  • It's frozen, so basically it's rock hard. According to the book, it's like being hit with a sledgehammer. But I haven't tried it... Yet. There is a risk of bleeding in the brain which will result in death. Skull breaking into bits? Not too sure.

  • the acting is really bad.. but good narration

  • Cool, I just wrote an essey on this short story, and I didn't expect to find a video of it! = )

  • I thought she was supposed to be pregnant?

  • I'm very impressed-- Nicely done. Great shot composition. I recently adapted this story myself, but I like what you did with it. If you get a chance check out my version (in my youtube profile as "Mary's Little Lamb") I would love to hear your feedback.

  • The actress is perfect for the role of Mary Maloney. I really enjoyed the film and I am going to use it in my Literature classes. Thanks for posting it, congratulations, way to go!

  • Thank you so much for the kind words... If you would like a higher quality copy of the film to use for your class please just message me. Thanks!

  • XD Guess what? We watched this in Language arts class! XD

  • Really captures the feel of the story.

  • great job the music is great the setting is great the mood is great the actors are great this is the best one i've seen so far work a lil bit in the narration though but otherwise a extremely good job

  • polices (dedectives) are too handsome!!

  • Bunun sınavı harikaydı bir yer (kelime bölümü) batık 16 puandan 2 puan bekliyorum..:-)

  • I read it for school's English hmw but why's Sam working a bar instead of a grocery store?

  • We are studying it in school for English Reading lesson. Ronald Dahl is very intelligent about it.

  • Somehow, the American accent ruins it.

  • ditto

  • Wow, awsome video.

  • Wow, im really impressed, ive made a short film based on this story myself as a school project. its very different from the original story then.

ill be happy if you take a look at it and left some comments. its in norwegean but it is texted! and its named "Dypfryst" that is the norwegean name for the story. Have a good day and i must say that this version was great! keep up the good work.

  • I really enjoyed this. Thanks for making it!

  • constructive criticism:

    1) watch the axis...maintain the 180* rule unless you have a reason to break it 2) modulating audio (fix in post?) 3) speed up pacing, drags a little 4) screen direction when she walks into the kitchen 5) boom/cord or something in the kitchen upper right corner 6) jump cuts... follow the 40* rule 7) watch for double shadows and be sure to motivate your light 8) I can't stand the actress

    great story, nice piece

  • word.... this thing was a beast to try and edit because we forgot a lot of stuff in production. I would agree with all those things. Thanks for checking it out!

  • Roald Dahl used to be a fighter pilot then landed in Greece so he spent his time somewhere in the U.S. and became a spy by the way help me on my homework i have to do a booklet for this movie.

  • I think it's exellent, I am all set to make a short based upon another Roald Dahl story. Kudos!
