Looked much more like Leg of Turkey. That leg is microscopic. The lamb must have been the absolute RUNT of the litter (not sure what word to use there).
I DO love how she unwraps it first. I've never seen that choice before. That's pretty funny! 8-D
I found the pace a bit too slow and there were too many silences, but otherwise I liked it. It shows that an effort was made, and benefited from that effort. The attention to detail as well as time-and-place were SUPERB.
"i think its right here under our noses" why yes mister officer, you are eating the murder weapon :) thats the perfect crime!! read this in english this week! i loved it cause of the dramatic and situational irony!....great video...it was very well made!
As in the original story, he never SAYS, "I'm leaving you for another woman", not in those words. I agree it's the most likely scenario, but he never SAYS those words. That must have been deliberate on Dahl's part.
When I was reading this in school today, i imagened that the woman was like Bree Van De Kamp from Desperate Housewives for some reason... "The Perfect Wife"... I lOVE THIS STORY!!! X3
well done, this was quite nice; excpet it would`ve been better if you`d added that last line when that officer jack says "i think its right unde our noses and we cant find it" or something like that i dont remember the line exactly. But anyways, overall it was very nice.
I remember this from HIgh School English TRICKY WOMAN> I didn't know till recently T Hat the same man who wrote Charlie and the chocolate factory Wrote this What Range! Is this a 1950's film or Recent?
he wasn't that nice in the beginning his answers were quick and didn't much stare at her as he did. Also she goes down to the basement to get the leg of lamb.NOT the kitchen.YOU SHOULD have stalled a little before hitting him because that's how it went in the story.NOT THAT IT WASN'T AWESOME VIDEO BUT just had a few mistakes overall nice video
Nice work everyone. Just one thought- you might have tightened it up a little, a couple of the scenes were a little slow. Don't want to lose the audiences interest. But you pulled it off and I enjoyed the ending- (& nice work Tim!)
But I have to do a stupid Newspaper report about the murder AND it has to be ironic (because the newspaper's murderers don't know who the real murder is) but I think I'm going to do great now.
Its a nice adaptation. Couple of points, the camera during the scene where the husband tells her he is leaving her, moves up and down. Not a good look, a reverse shot would of made the difference. Acting was poor on the part of the more minor parts, but all in all, a well made production, with attention to detail being paramount. Well done!
I wish that I would have gotten the camera credit that I deserved. Yes, that's right I did the cinematography for many parts of the movie not just gaffer and sound. I also aided in the special effects. But since this was one of our first projects together I'll let it ride. Just let it ride. PS Why did you guys not tell me it was on Youtube?
Very well done, this is one of my most favourite stories by Roald Dhal. Is she playing pregnant in the film clip, cause Mary was 6 months pregnant. I am going to be playing Mary in a stage play.
It's frozen, so basically it's rock hard. According to the book, it's like being hit with a sledgehammer. But I haven't tried it... Yet. There is a risk of bleeding in the brain which will result in death. Skull breaking into bits? Not too sure.
I'm very impressed-- Nicely done. Great shot composition. I recently adapted this story myself, but I like what you did with it. If you get a chance check out my version (in my youtube profile as "Mary's Little Lamb") I would love to hear your feedback.
The actress is perfect for the role of Mary Maloney. I really enjoyed the film and I am going to use it in my Literature classes. Thanks for posting it, congratulations, way to go!
great job the music is great the setting is great the mood is great the actors are great this is the best one i've seen so far work a lil bit in the narration though but otherwise a extremely good job
Wow, im really impressed, ive made a short film based on this story myself as a school project. its very different from the original story then.
ill be happy if you take a look at it and left some comments. its in norwegean but it is texted! and its named "Dypfryst" that is the norwegean name for the story. Have a good day and i must say that this version was great! keep up the good work.
1) watch the axis...maintain the 180* rule unless you have a reason to break it 2) modulating audio (fix in post?) 3) speed up pacing, drags a little 4) screen direction when she walks into the kitchen 5) boom/cord or something in the kitchen upper right corner 6) jump cuts... follow the 40* rule 7) watch for double shadows and be sure to motivate your light 8) I can't stand the actress
word.... this thing was a beast to try and edit because we forgot a lot of stuff in production. I would agree with all those things. Thanks for checking it out!
Roald Dahl used to be a fighter pilot then landed in Greece so he spent his time somewhere in the U.S. and became a spy by the way help me on my homework i have to do a booklet for this movie.
I know it's just a story but she wouldn't get away with that now not even back then for that matter!
