  • This movie is full of propaganda & outright lies! For instance: at minute 48:45 he starts to talk about Ernest Seyd. This conspiracy has been proven to be false. See: wikiquote & search Ernest Seyd.

  • @UtzChips2009 Please provide the proof you speak of so that I may conduct my own research. I have not found the proof of Ernest Seyd you speak of. Thank you in advance for taking the time for assiting me with this research. Peace.

  • @UtzChips2009 Refutation of Ernest Seyd's slander are done by the very people involved in the deed--his family, his employer. Google (Ernest Seyd silver slander Ignatius Donnelly) you will get a well researched historical essay of the chronicle of events. bit.ly /sZRzCy where much surrounding information is detailed even about the congressional record and Seyd's consultations to congress. Donnelly of Minnesota b. 1831- d. 1901 and was author of "The American People's Money, 1896."

  • I'm glad you mentioned the bimetal usage -- Still's flick goes thru all the symbolism and explanations of Oz, it takes up half the movie for God's sake.

What does he do with this information? Ignores the whole free silver movement as a potential solution, and criticizes 'gold bugs'. The solutions offered at the end of the film don't even mention gold and silver backed currency as solutions, only govt issued currency.

Why did he waste 1 hr of my time discussing silver at all?

  • Here is one of the half-truths Still tells in his videos that virtually no one ever gets: Talley sticks were supposedly backed by gold from the King's treasury that he had previously borrowed, and were traded on the open market as bonds might be. Far from being "debt-free", they were one of the first official instruments of government debt. I am so tired of everyone repeating this lie. For God's sake, buy a book instead of a DVD for once!

  • Seriously, giving the state the right to print any kind of currency at will without interests means systematic death of said currency. I think we saw enough horrors since late 2008 especially that we know all that's going to happen is that the crooks will print tons of money overnight, buy everything with it and let you suffer inflation 6 months down the road in a bankrupt country while they will have fled like any tinpot dictator does

  • One of my favorite movies on filmsi.co.cc of all time, and no doubt my favorite soundtrack. Even this youtube video brought tears to my eyes. Amazing and underrated movie, with some of the best acting and scores around.

  • Glad you liked the movie.

Your idea about a multi-metal standard is interesting. I recommend a Resource-based currency where EVERYTHING is valuated into the currency. Fiat currency is a NOTHING standard. An everything standard would add value to water, air and the environment. This financially incentivizes a healthy environment. Technology would add value to synthetic products (a phone > metal and plastic). This would change the value of any given commodity. What do you think of this idea?

  • This film is about transportation... I found it on filmsi.co.cc... Through time, space, and experience. And what transports us as humans through these things. Love, loss, sadness, obsession, curiosity, and hope.

  • After i watched it several times, I got the whole timeline of events, the point of the movie and the end. One of the most exciting movies at filmsi.co.cc I ever watched. Definitely the best soundtrack of all time…

  • Great review and insightful comments. Thanks :)

  • i have several doubts about gold.

  • the problem is, gold was confiscated during the great depression, and i wouldn't be surprised if they did it again

  • fucking spammers are all over the goddamn place. Say: I.P. address extraction.

  • This guy does a good job reviewing Secret of Oz; which is nice, since many people who review do not seem to understand it (like the guy who dressed himself as Scarecrow).

  • Cool video. Very sincere. Thanks for the review.

  • This movie is awesome!!!! There was a candid discussion about this, but believe me you didn't see something familier to this before.. This deserves a high five! The trailers for this movie had almost convinced me not to see the movie, but I decided to see it.. No regrets... Watch it at moovi.co.cc.

  • DONT KNOW WHY but MOVIE IS AWSOME... I liked it because it is very creativee 10/10 stars and you can see it on moovi.co.cc!

  • Your hunt for this movie is over if you are reading this comment! moovi.co.cc has a full vesrion of this movie! Log onto it and enjoy the outstanding videos. This is really nice place guys!

  • l'm waiting for someone, someone from a half-remembered dream.......love this movie so much........=) I saw it on kookíca and enjoyed!

  • Joe you were ahead of the curve on this one - this is a very esoteric subject that Still does an excellent job of explaining. I wish he did more productions.

  • this was one of the best action films i have ever seen on kookíca... There are very few movies that can not be improved upon but this is defiently one.

  • I have never seen the special effects that are so realistic and believable... find this one on kookíca and enyoj it...you won't be sorry

  • Not too many movies have moved me quite like this one. I saw it on kookíca last night and I'm still under the impresion of it. Incredible story. Incredible performance. definitely the best movie this year for me

  • What to say?? It is great movie...great party time for all ages.. Funny and amusing, quality and great pictured storyline. You won't see something better, I am sure. Recommended film!! Watch this story at kookíca, it is free just for you-

  • Money always represents debt /watch?v=yMELD2Lklak

The cause of Inflation/deflation is the theft of our currency's by ALL banks, first laundering principal debt repayments out of circulation through people on there local bank loans ,also interest repayments thats never created in the beginning. This obfuscation IS TERMINAL because a gov has to perpetuate nation debt to attempt to keep circulation vital. If your not promoting Mathematically Perfected Economy, you then condemn us to monetary failure.

  • for those of you worried, yeah he's not given away any spoilers at all as far as I can tell, just mentioned some themes the plot centers around (as far as telling the actual story content). No worries reading it then. Sounds great :) See movie on kòòkica and enjoy!

  • And the whole scene with the van going off the bridge... amazing editing. All the acting is great. You can see it to kòòkica. The score is moving and fits perfectly. One of the best films of all time. Without a doubt.

  • So I watched half of the the Secret of Oz and I had to stop half way to point out that 38 minutes Bill Still contradicted his own thesis of the movie.

After Andrew jackson defeated the bank and paid it's debts the country boomed under the gold and silver standard. WTF? Was that a fluke?

Sure we can boom under a paper money system devised by government or bankers but the point is it's not STABLE!!! The point is who controls money well if no one does everyone controls it.

  • The issue with gold and silver is if you don't have gold and silver you will be locked out eventually. It is much better if money is printed in abundance and given to the wealthy, that does not lock anyone out of anything because you still have dollars and the wealthy pay you to work for them with dollars.

    That's much better.

So what if prices rise so much you can't afford to by shit you at least have dollars.

  • Wel'p, I'm the type of person who generally concludes what happens at the end of a movie by the mid-point. I'm now at 49.11, and I've come to a conclusion: Buy gold because only the rich and powerful end up with the gold. So if I have gold, then I'll have power (relative to the amount of gold I have).

I've also concluded that Mr. Still is a bit of a fool by labeling people "gold bugs". The quickest way to turn someone off to your argument is to insult them.

Let's use computer memory as currency.

  • You remind me of Zed from Police Academy, I hope you don't take that as an insult. Thanks for the review!

  • If you like this movie, I would reccomend the Lost Science of Money by Steven Zarlenga. See monetary.org

  • am glad there people like you that is persuing the truth to create utter strife by studing and reserching the facts the sercert of Oz is a great movie that show be shown to everyone great vid bro spread the thruth and love !

  • I've never heard so much tripe. Let me see I own a local pub next to a major road and travelers come in to buy food and beverage. They pay me in tally sticks and I know them to be true money because the king has the other half that can't be counterfeited. But how do I know the half I hold is real do I say "wait, I must go to see the other half held by the king?" Cause that's the only way to verify its real!!! Not a very workable system. No instead of holding gold I must trust the government. BS

  • @vipero00 The King or his agents could blackmail by threatening to not produce the other half of the tally stick for whatever reason.

  • Great review Joe! I agree with Oz on private central banking but disagree about him on gold. I like your suggestion on having a multi precious metal standard.

  • @jimbobubbadj He will not allow any dissenting views on his Oz video.

  • I could go along with Bill Still's ideas if he would also allow gold/silver as undenominated, untaxed, competing forms of money, and a repeal of the legal tender laws so that citizens could contract payment in whichever form of money they desired.

If this type of currency competition were allowed it would curb the government's natural inclination to print, as he himself illustrated when referring to Sweden's former currency.

I like his ideas for the elimination of fractional reserve bank lending

  • @frgtmygld Dittos!

  • Lol this reviewer is so ignorant that it is funny!

He says "if we have a multistandard with gold, silver and other metals..."

You don't know anything about history! Try Ancient Rome.

  • I've just watched mine today. I recommend it too.

  • Great Movie by Mr Still I wish he would produce more often.

OZ vs ToonTown – Genius All Around

Who Framed Roger Rabbit...Is this really a story about the framing an innocent corporation?

    sovereignthink.wordpress. com

    /2010/07/23/oz-vs-toontown-genius-all-around/

  • @sovereignthink Thanks for the Roger Rabbit link I am reading it right now!

  • The money masters will just force you to turn in your gold, they did it before and they can do it again.

  • @ekultus They cannot. The USA is a big country with plenty of places to hide it. The gold confiscated in 1933 was taken from banks not from peoples homes. Some people did turn in their gold voluntarily but many others did not. Proof, pre 1934 gold coins that are available today.

  • @jimbobubbadj That is wrong. The big banks wanted this so they could consolidate/monopolize the gold market for all time. Common citizens were allowed to keep up to $100 of coin, anymore was a crime. Obviously jewelers and such were exempt. The Fed is not your friend.

  • First of all, these DVD makers didn't have the basic courtesy to present a chapter menu requiring us to start at the beginning of a very long boring presentation. The dry delivery of the material is unworthy of film and amateurish. Too many details and poorly edited script. The presentator has no charisma and is visually unappealing on the level of a bad college professor. I can't imagine why this won awards. The Oz Theme was lost and poorly woven throughout. It seemed to be a marketing ploy

  • I'm not quite sure I agree. Even if money is not created out of debt there is one party who controls its supply. Talistics might seem fairer in this sense, but it is still fiat currency. The question though is whether money can be backed up by work, and the answer is yes. The only problem is when deception comes in. What creates the problem is having a gold standard by decree (this is what creates the shortage). The idea with gold is no one party have the right to control the money supply.

  • Hey Joe, I just seen the movie. It makes so much sense and opened up my mind a lot more. I was a never a fan of gold but only a crazy silver guy because silver is real money because its an asset used and needed.

I agree with bill because, its like diamonds, The beers control the supply making it rare and its not even a rare gem. This has cause hunger, war, slavery etc in africa to find these gems and a ridiculous slogan in marriage "diamond is forever". Just like the tulip ideology in the past.

  • I have all of Bill Stills DVD's and it sounds like more of the same so far. I hope i'm wrong. But I am glad to see a younger person understand the monetary system. My nephews and their friends don't care about it even if I explain it to them. IN addition to this DVD, I would suggest everyone get a copy of Aaron Russo's "Freedom to Fascism". We must not forget what he contributed to us so spread the word.

  • Your man looks a bit like Martin Short from Innerspace lol

  • I wonder if anyone has the courage and the moral integrity to be honest about the FACT that The Jewish Banking Mafia are our misfortune ???

I think Ron Paul is an agent for The Rothschild Banking MAFIA ! - I am not accusing all Jews here.

  • You're full of it. Are you joking, a shill or uninformed? It's more likely that anyone in the 2-party system are agents for the Rothschild banking cabal. Even Obama was funded by a large amount of money from banksters. Ron Paul, Kucinich, Gravel, Mckinney, Nader are the 3rd party candidates not tied to special interests and monopolists.

  • I hope Bill still will alow on one point that his movie is beeing spread on Youtube and Google video aswell! So far he still presists on his copyright witch i can understand he needs to get the money back in witch he spendet making it! But the film is so important and such a powerfull tool to wake up peoble that it shuld be maid available to as many peoble as posible the easy way! Pleas Bill as soon as possible alow a version here maybe lower qualety but pleas do it!

  • @strolchi10 I second this, can we have permission to spread this movie online for free in full ?? It's very important!

  • The currency was retired, after Linkoln was shot!

  • Virtual currency's combined with micro financing is the future of money, why? because its sovereign money of exchange, decentralised, free and open, benefits from all the modern day technology.

Check out dibspace and zopa for examples.

  • Wow! It's great that a younger generation gets this. I address some of you concerns in my YouTube series (13 of them at present) called the "Still Report". Search for simply "Still Report" and they all pop up.

  • @bstill3 Thanks! I lend "The Secret of Oz" to as many friends as I can in order to spread the word about the problems with our debt-based money.

I agree with you that a strict gold standard would also give control of the money supply to a small group of oligarchs. I think that as our debt based system unravels, the rich will use gold more and more. So I want to regular person to buy gold now, so that they can preserve and increase their purchasing power going forward.

  • @bstill3 Thanks, I will watch your youtube videos and see what you have to say.

  • Thanks for the review Silver! I will buy Bill's DVD.

  • Returning to a gold standard would not work today because the people don't own the gold and most likely never will. A mix of a gold / platinum / silver / copper could work.

Free money issued from the gov. could also work if the new money was closely monitored and printed in pre-defined quantity with an equation that could not be manipulated in any way.

  • I watched the secret of Oz last night. The most important thing that was said was: "Who has control over the money supply has the ultimate power" and I agree with that 100%. Right now, the banks have that power. With free money from the gov., its the government that has the power.

Note on free money from government:

Would you trust the government with defining how many new money to print?

Free money from Gov. is highly inflationary since that money permanently increase the money supply.

  • Right now what we use for money but is "debt" is inflationary to start with, when the loan is issued. But when it is behing paid back, its deflationary because money is destroyed. When the loan is fully paid back, no money was created.

The interest comes from new loans taken by other peoples.

  • It's fantastic that you contribute making a commentary like this. Really. I wish thousands of americans and canadians do the same thing you've done here.

Kudos for you! All the best! Keep putting it out there!

  • I liked King Corn. Very good movie.

I'll have to check out the Oz movie.

  • @jonvssocrates I liked King Corn also, I hope I didn't sound too critical when I said they should make it shorter. I stopped eating commercial beef after that movie... but I have had grass fed beef.

  • Fascinating stuff.

  • Enjoy your videos, keep them coming!

  • Thanks for creating an open dialog about the money issue, SilverFuturist! I think highlighting the fact that we've been paying interest on money created out of nothing and showing that it is possible to create money without interest (aka usury) is a key point. Especially when considering what our options are in light of the crazy mess we're all in! Keep churning out those videos, I'm hooked!

  • Dear Siverfuturist,

Thank you for your videos. I am going to foward it to my bro and sis the Yougmans...I sure they will like it too.

  • @SilverRose09 thanks, I appreciate it!

  • The Secret of Ounce!

  • I'm glad you brought this film to our attention. I have not seen it but I always check out Bill Still's site. I believe his idea for debt-less money issued by the government is the best system even though it will be abused by politicians. He agrees that it will be abused but at least the government will never have to go into debt, & that is his point.

  • @Rottenpotatopicker the idea of government staying out of debt is very appealing to me. The pros and cons of this kind of money, vs metal based money, is something I wish our economists would be discussing.

  • Yah Multi-Metal standard sounds the best, good thinking. Great Reviews.

  • Thanks for the information

  • The movie was horrible and I forced myself to sit through to the end. Bill Still understands the history of money but has a poor grasp of economics. He seems very socialist leaning and thinks the government will protect the people from evil bankers which is totally false. He touts government backed paper and hates the idea of a gold standard while giving us example after example of government paper that eventually ended up being worth NOTHING.

  • @lorenavedon Continued from my previous post:

This movie was almost as bad as Zeitgeist which went a step further and suggested we dont use money at all. These guys are bat shit crazy and dont understand that a moneyless system only servers to destroy your freedom and strengthen the control grid of the government.

  • @lorenavedon I agree, he has unfounded trust in the government's ability to manage a fiat money system. Politicians have demonstrated that they cannot resist temptation when it comes to the easy way out, and abusing a fiat currency system is an easy way out.

I enjoyed the history lesson in the movie, a lot of that info was new to me.

  • @lorenavedon people need to understand that without money, civilization cannot exist. Unless something outlandish happens like aliens give us free-energy technology and the ability to genetic engineer ourselves. While I am at it I will wish inter-dimensional travel into the mix. :)

  • I thought the name "greenback" had negative connotations. Also, I thought tally sticks were a disaster under King Charles II (i.e. short end of the stick). Anyway, I'll have to watch the Oz video because I can't imagine how anybody can possibly make a case that fiat money is good. It is like convincing people that some foxes can guard the hen house.

  • What do you think of having no standard at all, at least none that is forced upon the citizens by any government. This way the free market can decide which is more efficient, and competing currencies can keep each other in check. Plus, it would give the flexibility of people electing a different currency at any point that the currently preferred currency becomes monopolized, corrupt, inefficient, or otherwise tainted.

  • @33zizzy historically, when there is no government standard, the large banks and the rich use gold as their standard. The silver to gold ratio has sometimes been pegged by kings/govts, sometimes floated by the market.

  • Sounds interesting, I'll have to pick it up. Thanks.

  • About the Wizard of Oz movie: I always thought that the actor playing the part of the wizard had an uncanny resemblance with J.P. Morgan (or that little mustache dude from the Monopoly board game).

    Coincidence? I think not.

  • @OperationCrossroad The Wizard of Monopoly!

  • Maybe I will have to stop being so cheap and order it.

I liked King corn also. Though I agree they could have cut some from it. And it left me with questions I needed to research for myself (not a bad thing). I liked food inc better.

  • @libertymom100 I liked Food Inc better, I don't have the DVD yet.

  • @libertymom100 I have an idea that might work... convince your library to buy it! If you have friends, maybe have everybody sign a petition that kindly requests the library pick it up, libraries try to get things people want.

  • Great idea

  • No, thank you!

  • nice tie :o)

  • @GuildF40 thanks, this is one Max Keiser is not going to get!

  • Still's work is full of inaccuracies and often his opinions are presented as facts. Its fast moving and interesting for history buffs. But seems over simplified when it comes to certain economic matters. In this way he's like Michael Moore in that he makes an entertaining and informative video that is politically slanted and ignorant on many matters.

Here is a podcast with him talking about that video :

    commoditywatchDOTpodbeanDOTcom/2009/10/18/bill-still-the-secret-of-oz/

  • bad link, try :

    commoditywatchDOTpodbeanDOTcom

then scroll to bottom of page

  • @bunkermunk His opinions give me things to think about, but he is showing us history through his eyes.

  • I hope I can find it online for free because I'm a cheap bastard.

  • lol, I think the most important thing is for people to watch it.

  • Return to Oz is really trippy check it out. The wheelie ppl still give me nightmares.
