  • This song was featured on NPR's 'All Songs Considered' as one of the truly scary songs to listen to as opposed to traditional Halloween songs that aren't really scary at all.

Of their list, this is my favorite. Reminds me of Dead Could Dance musically.

  • Whoa, the crystal castles remix is like a completely different song.

So now I effectively have two awesome songs with the same name.

  • stop commenting on liars if you are looking for instant gratification

  • lazy or not, its still amazing to listen too.

  • O_O

  • this is about as lazy and creative as talking fast with an attitude. also known as rap

  • @gottalovebreathin

If it's so easy why aren't you doing it and being a cult success? There's more to music than just skill. Maybe people who like Liars like the melodies, or they like the primal nature of the drumming, or the atmosphere and texture of the piece.

And rapping is hard. Unless you're Kanye West and you just talk while autotuning your voice and everyone calls you a genius for some reason.

  • @juliandunn amen morning breath with love...and F*** t that dumb kanye guy, any who...cheers to music, cheers to listening to it,, cheers to enjoying it and simply appreciating the beautiful artist who are willing to share it with the world...Here Here...

  • @SeanIsaacBillings sure, i listen to bizarre music too, i absolutely love aphex twin, flying lotus, squarepusher, tokimonsta, daedalus... but yeah the american men have fascinating harmonies, its absolutely wonderful. check out "cool world" by them.

and warp is a label, very selective and do alot of bizarre music. you should check the label out! you can hear 30 second previews of the songs on "bleep. com" their website for selling it. i dont buy it there, too expensive, but it gives you an idea

  • @SeanIsaacBillings kisses to you. have you ever heard of american men? all these amazing bands seem to be on the best label world wide anyway. im sure you heard of "warp". fuck man i wish i could just compress this into a syringe and inject it. fuuuck.

  • Don't read Spin. They don't have the balls to hate anything.

  • too bad i've only seen them twice. amazing.

  • @baufuckinghaus the only thing I can think of that would make this song hard to play live is if they were not there this is lazy shit

  • Hmm..... Some one to a little to many of their meds?

  • kak

  • Try Spin magazine or Uncut, not as commercial as rolling stone and not as pretentious as Pitchfork.

  • This is the most amazing thing I've ever heard.

  • Is it weird that this song turned me on?

  • jokinpats13

i don't know, but yhis vid shoulda been called..... what music video artists do wen they're bored~((?)) Also, this vid looks like one of those mid 80's to early 90's music videos that u watched you were 12 or 13years old,and must've been on some type of drug you didn't know you were on,unknowingly givin to you by your mom or dad,at the time you wre watchin'...yea baby! yea!

  • @happymondaze

To be honest, I have no idea. I almost never use review websites; I tend to find music through random web browsing and different small-time blogs. You'd be best off asking someone more qualified about that sort of thing.

  • I prefer the Crystal Castles Remix better. I like the idea behind the song though.

  • nice drums... are they bass drums?

  • toms i'd say..

  • i thought theee remix was the original and they seem nothing like eachother in the beginning. this version is quite weird.

  • This song makes me think of sneaking into their house, robbing and brutally murdering them. And when that ship sank I lol'd for some reason.

    Surreal imagery, exactly.

  • I fucking love this whole album. The way it all fits together is brilliant

  • end of this song reminds me of the main theme for akira. or maybe it was ghost in the shell. one of them.

  • TETSUUUUUOOOO!

  • I'm still trying to figure out what this bloody song is about...

  • i think your missing the point. Its like surreal imagery to paint a picture rather than tell a story or make a point.

  • Exactly why I said I didn't get it...

  • it's about anarchy and having fun

  • Its about planet earth , people, about quetioning existence, religion(i guess a little disagreement with it :)), and about how they see themselves in all that. In a few words you could say "the meaning of life" . . .

    Plih

  • I scream you scream we all scream for ... pink tacos?

  • the original s of cc remixes often sound simular

  • the crystal castles remix of this song is awesome. never heard the original til now.

  • what the fuck is pitchfork?

  • Pitchfork is this awful website written by elitist indie hacks with ironic haircuts who pretend to know jack shit about music. They usually have Wikipedia in another tab, constantly getting facts wrong about the bands that they criticize. All-in-all, it's where people who know nothing about music go so they can impress ugly scenester chicks with their pseudo-knowledge of mostly crappy bands.

A place to stay away from.

  • lol fucking brilliant.

  • Thanks *thumbs-up*

  • this is fucking briliant

  • holly shit

  • yeah alot of you are saying, oh my I love this song/video. but do any of you know what the hell it means.?

  • I've been trying to work it out for myself. I know there's some kind of meaning behind this but I just can't put my finger on it...

  • if you do, then please...enlighten us.

  • I feckin love the end of this. The colours are savage!

  • Israel was behind the war in Sierra Leone. Read about it.

  • don't know if that's entirely on topic dipstein

  • I think it's funny how the Liars love cats and kittens, but don't seem to think much of dogs, haha. Check out the "Houseclouds" video!

  • there's a dog in that video though...

  • Dark, Hilarious, Smart, Dumb, Subversive, Childish, Evil. I really like this album. But it's not one to put on if you don't want to be in a dark mood.

  • The cover of this single is so funny

  • This is definitely weird, and well, let's admit it, not that pretty or interesting, but it does capture the song really well. The visuals and song are just odd enought to make this work nicely.

  • hey the was a 90's pop band who used to have the same voice melody of this liars song , anyone knows the name ?

Liars is playing here september with merzbow, four tet, etc... WON'T MISS IT !

  • i think it sounds very close to the song by the turtles called, "you showed me." you know, "you showed me how to do, all the things you do..." probably not what you're thinking of though...

  • yeah the turtles that's the original version right. but the one i meant is a britpop band called the lightning seeds, make a search here.

  • Wait a second, Pitchfork liked this album? Holy shit! I better stop likeing it!

  • I love this album, and I never even heard of a pitchfork having anything to do with liking a band.

  • yeah, i starting listening to these before i read anything on pitchfork. It was actually because they opened for radiohead, and I wanted to see what they were all about.

  • I f*ckin' love them so much!<3 <3 <3

    This video's just AWESOME!

  • I'll never get enough of the "crystals flying everywhere **ting!**" bit..

    amazing.

  • this makes me very happy. as a fan of liars, i will say this lends a better visual accompaniment than the official video

  • interesting

  • Love IT!

  • Umm....

  • what

  • The part with the ice cream cone at the end was rad
