  • condom on ring finger

  • This is awesome!

I'm thinking of getting a regal myself. I'm really into slide blues playing.

Just wondering if a square neck is similar to the round neck. Does anybody know what the difference is like?

  • @pattyboy15 : Thanks... :-) ...and sorry I have no idea how the difference of a square neck feels... I haven't had one in hand yet... actually didn't care too much about it... maybe you can check it out in a shop in your area... Cheers, PIT... :-)

  • @pattyboy15 round neck you play in the same position as a normal guitar square necks are played lap style and cant be played in normal position as neck is too chunky

  • @pattyboy15 Square neck is usually played in the horizontal. More of a Dobro style rather than a resonating guitar.

  • love it...train bringing me home...

  • good job man!

  • @magdalenito25 : Thanks a lot... :-)

  • good job mam

  • how would somebody dislike this?!

  • What would you say is the Difficulty level? :) (i play guitar, bass, mandolin)

  • @aRedRoseFTW : This regal plays like any acoustic guitar... if you get along with a bass and a mandolin... this should not be a big deal for you... Greetings, PIT... :-)

  • I've just gotten mine! (Ü)

  • What tuning is he playing in ?

  • @xhardcorechicx : the tuning is: E B E G# B E

  • It will never come close to touching a Dobro.

  • @bluegrasssingingman In sound

  • I'm looking at this same guitar, you'd recommend it?

  • @MyCommentsAreFact : yes, absolutely...

  • hell yeah!!!

  • @stroggcat : cheers... :-)

  • what can you do if your left handed.....?change the nut.....?

  • @MrDimestore : yes... and probably the saddle on the cone needs to be turned around as well... maybe the cone simply can be turned 180°... ?

  • This video sealed the deal on me buying a Regal RD-40 =- Thanks! I love it. Although, I wish I could see what the heck you were doing with your left hand, would love to try to figure this out.

  • @jhastings73 : Thanks... and Congrats to your wise decision... it's a great guitar... well, the left hand is no rocket-technology... just sliding to the 5th fret and the 7th fret plus some other bits which you can see... it's a blues-thingy... :-)

  • How high is the action on the guitar? I'm going down to the shop next month to try one out, but i would be interested to know if the frets are still accessible even with a "bottleneck-able" action. (I really enjoyed the tune by the way)

  • @TheIvanBrown : Hi, mine is set up like a normal acoustic guitar, but it still is very nice for playing slide... of course needs a bit feeling not to push the the strings to hard down so that you end up on the frets... I never changed a thing that guitar... All the vids I did with it are with the same action...

Furthermore a few open tunings set the strings under more tension so that makes it easier as well... Cheers... :-)

  • its like regals gonna be all I can afford, glad to hear they can sound as good as a national.

  • @fistedsaxe : absolutely... yes...

  • omg that sound is just perfect by the way that bottleneck is that a little moonshine jar/glass

  • @heerdeholland : Thanks for your kind comment... the slide is a self cut and sanded (hell of a work... puuuh...)real neck of a bottle... :-) ...and I drank the wine of the bottle myself, too... ;-) ...it's indeed a wonderful sounding bit... Cheers, PIT... :-)

  • That's a nice bit of slide i've recently got into slide and have been learning "man of the world" and "running on faith" but i've been using an old egmond which has an adjustable neck which is perfect for getting the strings to the right height. But a resonator is the only guitar missing from my collection so i'm very jealous.

  • @ricardodewilsiano : Thanks for your comment... yes, Resonators are something special... you should look out for one... Cheers, PIT... :-)

  • sounds good what kind of pickup and amp you use

  • @petertorro : there is no pickup and amp involved... it's plain acoustic just recorded with a small digital camera... Cheers :-)

  • very cool man.

  • sounds so country, so cool man!

  • is this a roundneck or a squareneck?

  • it's a roundneck...

  • what tuning are you in? i am considering getting one of these, how high is the action on it and was it a hassle adjusting it if you did?

    Thanks

  • the tuning is: E B E G# B E

the action is like on a normal acoustic guitar... There was no need to modify it somehow... it's really nice and well made resonator guitar...

  • Nice playin' man.

I have exact same Regal! Bought it in the end of last year. Love the sound. Never had second thoughts. 370€. Worth every cent. Stays in Tune perfectly.

    Keep ringing!!!

  • Thanks very much.... yeah, I just can agree with you... Cheers... :-)

  • Were did you buy it?

I only know a website that is selling it for 450€ and it's the squareneck version, I'm dying to find one of those in sale.

  • Hi... check your mailbox... Thanks & Greetings, PIT... :-)

  • @caralhosvosfodam Go Musicians friend. they have This guitar but by Rogue same everything, It's all in american Dollars though, they have Rogues same guitar comes in Black for 180$ U.S. dollars

  • Very sweet playing - spider bridge reso's always sound like they're kind of out-of-phase, like an acoustic version of Mark Knopflers guitar sound on Sultans of Swing...

  • Thanks very much... :-)
