The flash dosnt pop up automatically when its dark!! you need to do it in manual!!! press the button and boom, come man stop reading the script and play with the camera more!!
I do renovation and im looking for a camera to take pics of my work. I was curious to know if i take a pic in a tight spot like a bathroom. Will everything show up in the pic with this camera.
I know this reply is late and you probably gotten a camera already. Anyway, you need a camera with wide angle lens (around 28mm or less). Try the Panasonic LX3 or Canon S90. Both have 24mm wide angle lens. :-)
@slip5777 yes just flip the camera sideways and use the eyefinder for better use ,and set the pic mode to 3:2 and take the pick and youll see that you have caught the whole bathroom without backing up as much!!
I know that when we select Play on LCD to on, we can review the pictures on lcd when we are using viewfinder, but I can not autoreview in the lcd when using the viewfinder. Is it normal?
When choosing camera's ppl need to keep in mind what they are looking for. I mean how often will you shoot with an ISO of 6400? You have to be realistic and know what you will be using the camera mostly for. I have the Nikon D300 and am looking for a compact camera to carry around versus having the huge heavy DSLR to use. I think this camera has a lot to offer and is a perfect camera for those wanting to eventually upgrade to a DSLR.
u look to know nothing about this camera. at 6400 ISO u will get a noisy photo not a good one as u said. the baby mode is not for just to print the age as u said! it switch the camera to a mode in which the shutter speed will be fast and the ISO will be higher as the babies keep moving !!! by the way, for its price I think this camera is the best available in the market
he is wrong when he says the camera will do well in low light conditions because iso 6400 is laughable, even with DSLR. The pictures will look terrible even with iso 800
@sharpanator you forgot that it has long time exposure for up to one minute you know that right? it can use shutter speed as well as iso manual settings at the same time. so just go o night scenery mode and mess with the iso at 400 and shutter speed to 4 to 8 seconds and use a tripod or whatever holds your camera still enough, if no tripod then use a 1 second exposure and hold the camer tight for one second, and bam,!
@vwlover94 u nevwe said anything against long time exposure but then u dont need ISO6400, u switch to ISO100 and use Tripod, the high iso is normally when u dont have tripod and i bet u cant hold it with 1 second exposure! u have to switch to ultra high iso but then it looks terrible so its kind of useless.
hmm. i doubt that's much of a problem. In fact, live view removes that DSLR feel. It doesn't feel professional to be looking at a large screen. Looking through the viewfinder gives you that real "photographer" feeling.
Good camera

Damn, dont know what to take a DSLR or a hybrid :(
dezerker 2 years ago
me neither!!
jadevh94 2 years ago
I would say hybrid, then you don't have to carry a bunch of lenses around.
randomchick100 2 years ago
Take a DSLR. They are much more expensive, but much better (obviously).
If this is one of the first cameras you're buying, I would recommend this one. I have one and it's great.
But my next step will be a DSLR.

a Nikon D40

Don't get a D40 Nikon - It doesn't have a "Live View" LCD screen for taking photos.

The Canon SX1 is faster because it has another type of sensor.

l just got my FZ28 today.- the picture quality is very good.- the bad thing is the EVF, it's usable but very small.
no288 3 years ago
u can adjust evf diopter; better. but not gr8 as expected.
utubemadoli 3 years ago
I'm not talking about the diopter, but the size of the EVF. Now I had the FZ28 for a while and I'm getting use to the EVF ;)
no288 3 years ago
yep..they could have improved its size instead of lcd. i also owning it. i've adjusted diopter and felt much better.
utubemadoli 3 years ago
Can you hear a noise when you are using the zoom funktion when you are filming HD, utubemadoil?
no288 3 years ago
yep.. it is the sound of motor; acknowledged by panasonic.
utubemadoli 3 years ago
Okay, just wonna make sure 'cus I thought the zoom noise would be more silence.
no288 3 years ago
it dont have noise trust me i tried it in a shop
olgalucia51 3 years ago
(olgalucia51) you have to play the movie afterwards, then you'll hear it. If there is people talkin' in the shop you probably did not hear it.
no288 3 years ago
i mean i filmed on it and i listened to it. there was no noise
olgalucia51 3 years ago
(olgalucia51) You need to see the movie clip on the computer, then you'll hear it. Besides, Panasonic has already admit that there is noise.

happytodd 3 years ago 2
There is a 24 MegaPixels camera from Sony on the way.
o0subzero0o 3 years ago 2
I new there would be something that high. But Sony makes better camera's than Panasonic.
happytodd 3 years ago
i agree!! but the problem is is that canon is HELL of alot more than Panasonic - they are awesome for value!!
