when i saw that you cant use two swords in this game i was a bit bummed since in the original PoP SoT the battling system was pretty weak since you couldnt do combos etc etc and they fixed it good in PoP WW..but now that i've watched these videos im not bummed at all..when i saw the whole combo thingy with elika i was like "now thats really cool" its a different system and looks interesting..

I enjoyed playing this game BUT:

Greater numbers of dumb enemies, (kinda) hard puzzles and messing around with time ; that's what Prince of Persia was all about. ( in my opinion ) +

The character is an entire different person when you look at the character from the previous games. Plus, it doesn't even look like he's a prince!

When i play this game, it doesn't feel like i'm playing Prince of Persia but just some other game.

Well, the original "Prince of Persia" from 1989 was not a royal Prince either, and was not named. Much like this guy. The term Prince for the characters was always used, regardless of royal blood, since you can actually be considered a "Prince" in symbolic terms as well.

I wouldn't at all entirely agree with Gingakiddy. The combat system for this game is on point! Epic Duels! The old Prince of Persia's enemies were dumb as hell and focused on trying to beat you with simply greater numbers of shit brained enemies. That is basically all that mad the old PoP's combat challenging in any way. While each enemy in this game is challenging and fun to fight!

Who ever thinks that the combat system for this game is badly designed has got some serious mental issues.The only gripe that anyone should have with this game is with the puzzles(the few that there are)and the platforming, and the only problem with these is the fact that they are so easy, or at least not overly difficult. Really what the old Prince of Persia excelled at was just the puzzles and its slightly more challenging platforming, Combat just focused on multiple targets that where weak!

Damn it, this game looks different, but is HORRIBLE to play. bad transitions, bad combat, repetitive, badly designed, nothing to make it different except the art design, they even took out all forms of challenge, sure its shit when you die but THATS THE CHALLENGE :P

without challenge it is not fun, its like playing crysis and going into console and making yourself invincible, with unlimited ammo and the ability to kill people in 1 without the 'OH MY GOD THIS IS AWESOME' factor.

badly designed mainly because it is just that, if you want some examples look at the combat, and simply the fact that i played it about 2 times before returning it, they have raped what is was a good series of games to a small heap, the proverbial sexual predator of the gaming industry (well actually that goes to EA) has raped the franchise until it is a small sniveling heap on the floor.

Yeah i have felt the same recently. Fable II and now Prince of Persia. To make it even worse the 2 games don't even have an difficulty level so it is just permantly stuck on easy. On Prince of Persia Sand's of Time you could reverse your death's but only as long as your dagger remained full of energy. That was fine.

I have to admit, this game is pretty much doomed from now on. I mean. the graphics aren't as good as they could be, as swillok said. Plus the fights seem a little too dull. Not to mention the speed of everything. Compared to Ninja Gaiden 2, this game is slow and I hate to say it but, 'child-friendly'. A failure to the Prince of Persia series.

I can see where you are coming from with the "child-friendly" ness and the death system. But have you played the game? The graphics are amazing, Ninja Gaiden 2 was too hard and all it was, was a hack and slash game. and the secondary character has average sized boobs and not boobs the size of Jupiter. The gameplay isn't slow it gives you enough time to take in the visuals and the fell of the game. The combat is very satisfying when you can string together up to a 20-hit combo.
