The number 1 villain the public got 100% absolutely right!!! By far the scarriest disney villain ever. The scene where philip battles her is acclaimed the scariest animated moment of all time. I think though that ursula should've been 10, Jafar should've been 5th, Scar should've been second, the evil queen third and Frollo should've been 3rd. But maleficient is by far the scariest. Maleficent definetely deserved to be 1 but I think Frollo should have been 2. He didn't just kill one person, he killed thousands of people in a fire. And he locked Quasimodo in the bell tower, tried to kill Phoebus and almost burnt Esmeralda at the stake. Scar, Jafar and Ursula are great villains also and I HATED Scar for killing Mufasa but what Frollo did was MUCH worse.

@celina558eleni Frollo is driven crazy by the contrast brought about by his need to follow his religion and his lust for Esmeralda. He is a masterpiece depicting the bad sides of religion. Plus, although I know we're talking about the movies here, he imprisoned and had Esmeralda stoned in the book. He is truly a complex and wonderfully cruel villain. That being said, he is my favorite Disney villain.

I really think that the Coachman from Pinocchio should be on this list. The Coachman lures children to a cursed island so that they get transformed into donkeys and he sells them for money. Committing crimes against children is one of the worst crimes people can do and he enjoys his actions. here's what i think....its impossible to make a list of top Disney villains because ALL DISNEY VILLAINS KICK ASS.

5. ursula (she kinda blackmails ariel)
4. Gaston (he tried to kill beast)
3. Scar (he killed mufasa, but should'nt be #1 because practicaly ALL villains have killed)
2. Jafar (he's CRAZY, he creep me out when jasmine tricks him into being in love with him)
1. Frollo (he is BAD, he wants to burn esmeralda, kill everyone and has mental issues and OCD with esmeralda!)

@celina558eleni Frollo is driven crazy by the contrast brought about by his need to follow his religion and his lust for Esmeralda. He is a masterpiece depicting the bad sides of religion. Plus, although I know we're talking about the movies here, he imprisoned and had Esmeralda stoned in the book. He is truly a complex and wonderfully cruel villain. That being said, he is my favorite Disney villain.

@whitewashed2 @giggles1sara While I agree with both of you that Frollo was an amazin villian and should have been higher up than 10, I still believe the public made the correct choice putting Maleficent at #1. When you look at the dynamics of the characters used here, all of them have some sort of catalyst, driving force behind their madness if you will. Like you stated, Frollo's lust for Ezmeralda; or another, Jafar's lust for power, etc. but Maleficent didn't have a lust for these things, she

Not being invited to the celebration of her birth? She was just out for causing turmoil and misery in the kingdom. I really think that the Coachman from Pinocchio should be on this list. The Coachman lures children to a cursed island so that they get transformed into donkeys and he sells them for money. Committing crimes against children is one of the worst crimes people can do and he enjoys his actions. Not only that, THE COACHMAN ACTUALLY GETS AWAY WITH HIS CRIMES WHICH NONE OF THE OTHER VILLIANS HAVE MANAGED TO DO. In my opinion he is the top and most evil disney villian.

@frede1sj Toy Story was a DISNEY Pixar film. It was made in conjunction with Walt Disney Pictures. So it is Disney too. Also, Disney has bought Pixar in 2006 so all newer Pixar films are ever moreso a part of Disney.

I'm shocked that Frollo didn't get a higher place...in my opinion, he's possibly the most evil character that Disney has given us. He was sick, perverted, ruthless, insane and completely cold-hearted...yet he was human. No powers, no magic. He was just your average twisted man who killed thousands of people in an attempt to get Esmerelda so he could fullfil his own sick fantasies. There are a lot of people like Frollo in the world, which is why he's so unnerving.

Any points after that onward I was perfectly fine watching. Now, I'll watch every last minute. XD Unfortunately, THE BLACK CAULDRON wasn't that well-received, so not many people know about it. :/ Then again, I don't think many people knew about TRON until KINGDOM HEARTS 2 and LEGACY came out.
