Seeing 81k views, hard to comprehend why do self-respecting production house couldn't find funding. Studio Ghibli in Japan produces many animation (world's best) and they have no issues. Perhaps they should go to Ghibli for help and muscle. Just a thought: maybe the issue is deeper - the fincl/distrib companies are afraid such a film would awaken the spirit and soul of a people that have long been suppressed. Afraid that truth and justice (for all humanity) will rise to the consciousness.

Is it possible that this wasn't meant for production? Maybe this was done by a student as part of a portfolio or work sample and it wasn't meant to be a complete two hour film. In any case I love this. Opera doesn't get enough exposure to anime and whoever did this is expanding a very small segment of animation/opera.

After watching this trailer my jaw is still slightly ajar, how does one even begin to transcribe into words the appreciation within their soul for the chance to view animated film poised to shatter all previously established limits in its artistic medium. If George Lucas and Ralph Bakshi could father an illegitimate child this is the film he would have undoubtedly have made.

Unfortunately, it's a trailer for a film that will never be seen by anyone. The funding dropped out and there are no plans to continue the project. Sucks I know. But the director did turn this into a graphic novel. If you can snag it over in Europe it will only set you back about 1,000 dollars... I agree with you though, this is an incredible piece. Those investors were idiots!
