Awesome movie, but it was way too short. Valhalla Rising is more like art, and very trippy. For me it was almost a religious experience, and I don't think it was very predictable at all. Atleast not more than the average movie.

Absolutely brilliant. Rarely seen such cinematography. Brings to mind Werner Herzog's Aguirre, Der Zorn Gottes and Coppola's Apocalypse Now...They should make more cinematic experiences like this. Completely mind-blowing in its starkness, brutality, and ruthlessness. Brilliant.

I love the music in this film, especially the track during the end credits. I enjoyed this movie, and one of the raves about this film is spot-on: "A cracked and crazy meditation on war and religion." It's slow and dark, tranquil and surreal, like a meditation, like a dream. Don't expect it to be like a typical glamorous, ADD-driven, fast-paced Hollywood/American movie. That's what is steering me away from Hollywood more and more now......I like this Valhalla Rising the way it is.

Another film which I believe achieves that level of quality & subtlety is PT Anderson's "There Will Be Blood," even though it was much more commercially & critically successful than the aforementioned titles. Every once in awhile, great movies do get recognition!

I can tell you I saw the movie and I give it 10/10 for me it was that good, also a movie just as good was: The American with George Cloony. An overrated movie is Inception, but it was 8/10 good. So it also was with Schindler´s List. There are so many gems out there if you just look beyond the Hollywood blockbusters like Chinese movies, or french ones, or Swedish ones, or Spanish ones. The Gems are out there. =)

ok sure.. the camera work is good, the music sets a good atmosphere and yes the acting is good. but WTF its so boring, nothing really happens there's like 30 seconds of action the rest of the movie is different angles of one eyes face with pretty backgrounds.
