About a rebellion against the dominion, civil war, the return of a lost Septim who leads a massive invasion and restores the empire, while some great evil lurks in the distance... Not possible. There are various locations throughout Tamriel which haven't got any designs so nobody knows what they look like.

Not only some land masses would have to be filled in, but everything that already is in (AND the new places) would have to be properly populated with vegetation, people, quests... a humongous work, one that no modder, or even team of, is capable of doing. @SubtleAsAGun I doubt it because summerset isle will be too big of a loss for future installments of the series to waste it on an expansion dlc witch is why morrowind would be perfect for them seeing as half of it has been destroyed. Cyrodiil would be cool to see the change after the White Gold Treaty

@Ulfang999 That would be cool, but if you read the book "The Great War", they already had a big fucking battle in the Imperial City. That is were the Aldmeri were forced to a truce and the White-Gold Tower concordat was made. The Aldmeri only have Justificars walking alround too, so there isn't really anyone to "push back" :) They could invade the Aldmeri controlled places though and push them back to Sumerset!

@Geophaser Eh, that was mostly randomly generated, so they could probably cheat around that. It is amazing how big that game is though. Cyrodiil in Oblivion was 16 sq. miles put to scale. Daggerfall was twice the size of Great Britain.

the music in this game is just amazing. I recommend playing this game whilst high. day after christmas I had off and had the day to myself so I got a little high and started playing this game at noon I stopped playing at like 1am and felt like I accomplished nothing... this game is just straight mind blowing. It'll be hard for the new mass effect and gta to top this.

@LeoWarrior14 Draw distances. Consider the mountains... Climb to the top and look out over the world. It would break immersion if the landscape sprawled away at the base of the mountains.... only to end abruptly for no reason.

The area outside the playable game world that you build the terrain for must be larger than the maximum visible area.

I wonder...They still have the code from Oblivion and Morrowind to say the least. They could patch in the new graphics for the old (that's not incredibly difficult I think), use their voice actors, write new quests, and remake old dungeons pretty well. Some of them are already unique, and need no changes I know that. So it wouldn't be terribly difficult to add it in as DLC right?

Actually, people have dived into the code and seen it's very similar to the original Gamebryo engines. It's different from the originals, but it's still a reformed Gamebryo engine.

In than case it might be possible, but still very hard. I doubt Modders have access to Oblivion's nor Morrowind's source code, and even if they do it'd be illegal to use it.

Now I know these games can be heavily modded and it might be possible to cannibalize the required components and rig them together with Skyrim, but it'd be a massive massive job and probably very buggy in the end.
