How about the constant runoff occurring AS WE SPEAK? just take a drive around the back roads and look at the mess especially this time of year. if the barnyards are impacting the watershed they have to be redone. We need to either give incentives for good practices or fine the hell out of the poisoners. Seems like the only thing that talks is money!
Im talking about the "one of many streams" you are showing in the video, the damage that was done was from 2 epic floods.
Floods that big do damage and is unrealistic to think you can stop stream bank wash out on every inch of vernon county strreams with flooding like we had in 07 and 08.
August 2007 and June 2008 floods are what did this damage! 2007 was a 1000 year flood and 08 was a 100 year flood.
Any stream would look like that after that much flooding. Vernon county is one of the poorest counties in Wisconsin. With 10 million in dam repair from this flooding previously mentioned.

Yes manure runoff did harm the lake.

Where are you coming from? The flooding had nothing to do with the lake being closed.
It was some small, local farms which spread manure recklessly, contaminating the lake, that caused it to be closed.
In what way do you feel that poorness excuses reckless farming?
This post really has nothing to do with flood damage, but maybe you'd like to explain what you are trying to say?
