had it 40 years and lived a normal life . its harmless to yourself and go on with life, Avoid writing checks, pay in cash works well. you can still have all the fun you want on a keyboard. eat with other hand if needed and have your wife help you dress durring those really bad spells. oh becareful with coffie, thank god it doesnt hurt.
I've had ET since I was little, began in just the hands with light tremor and today I have it in my head and legs, last time It's been hard to walk, and alcohol have made it all worse in the long run. Yeah well, this disorder is something I don't wish to anyone. It's so frustrating, can't live normal any longer cuz of it. I feel with you all out there.
I believe I have the same tremors in my hands - they don't shake when they (the hands) are at rest, but as soon as I open the hand up or raise my fingers, they shake. Mine get worse after physical activity, as well. It's frustrating to me, not as much embarassing, just frustrating that I cannot control sometimes, especially since I play sports like basketball, it impedes my abilities and is very frustrating.
I have a bad bodily tremor, and people always ask me if I am nervous because my hands shake. It is due to having epilepsy, plus a severe case of septic pneumonia, a staph infection and strep that put me in a coma for 2 weeks a few years back. I was fully paralyzed, and had to learn to move and walk again after 2 months, and remain with a terrible tremor. It can be very embarrassing.
Yeah it is really embarrassing. My mom hates it when people point it out. But going to the doctor won't make it go away. They can put you on medicine if you have it but it won't stop it.
i got the same problem, although i think a little less severe, i have never mentioned it to my doctor though cause it doesnt actually bother me on a daily basis, its just kind of embarrassing .

Yeah I have the same thing... I have looked it up and alcohol supresses it. But the problem with that is that people become alcoholics.
